"These events are weird. I don't mind some mma style fighting during regular matches. It adds some realism to it and ground them. Stuff like this looks like a bunch of kids pretending to be tough. Marina Shafir had a poor mma career. That doesn't mean she can't fight for real, but when you're presenting her as a world beating animal it doesn't work."
[5.0] "Presentation was good and the crowd was into every match (as long as those matches were giving fans reasons to be hot), but imo one two matches stood out from the pack - Bailey/Alexander and Modzmanashvili/Makowski. Main Event was carried by both Barnett and MVP's presence, Shafir/Threat imo made Shafir look strong and Slamovich/Lee served as a decent showcase for Lee."
[9.0] "My first in-person indie show in a few years and it was absolutely worth it. Super snappy and fun matches across the board with a mostly good crowd (outside of the one guy who kept yelling/chanting for wrestlers to apply a Rings of Saturn for half the show, which is why there's a small chant for it in the main event). I even had Marina Shafir fall directly onto me right before Jody Threat dived onto her, which was cool as fuck. Just a joy to be there in the building for. As usual there's a few matches too short for the matchguide at Bloodsport so I'll review them here: Nixon vs Tankman was a nice opener that established how fast things can end but I do wish it got another 2-3 minutes to really let Tankman let loose (***), Petrovic vs Sakai was a very fun veteran vs upstart match and wrestler vs striker match put together; Sumie was a step ahead of Karmen throughout but got a little too comfortable and beaten as a result which lead to multiple fun exchanges (***1/2), Garrini vs Ku was one of the best matches of the show and told its story of two tag partners going at it but getting more heated as it went perfectly in under 4 minutes featuring a ton of great exchanges like that NASTY Dragon Screw counter from Ku (****1/4)."
[7.0] "Enjoyable show that flew by pretty well due to the style of show that it is. Mike Bailey/Josh Alexander was my favorite of the show but there was a lot to enjoy here including the Dom Garrini/Kevin Ku match."
[8.0] "a pretty stacked show in my opinion. enjoyed so many matches and even the ones I wasnt the most into had some good sequences. top 3 have to be Shafir v Threat, Slamovich v Lee and Alexander v Bailey. Modzmanashvili v Makowski and Garrini v Ku were up there as well"
