[8.0] "A really enjoyable show, opener was fun, a broadly fine match with the right winner, Shinsuke Knight was an okay match, fun to see a title change, but not sure on the direction. Triple threat was so fun, an awesome match, so hyped for Sheamus to eventually win the IC belt. Gunther Priest was an okay match. Men's wargame was a really fun dynamic with Punk joining the OG bloodline, Bronson Reed joining is random, but we move."
[6.0] "On re watch this is a BIT better than I remember it. It's without a doubt one of the weakest PLE's WWE put on in 2024 but It's a watchable one. The 3rd match and main event were the high points here as I really liked those matches. The opener was simply bad and the rest was kinda just...there?"

[3.0] "I didn't enjoy the women's wargames match, I guess no one did. Shinsuke winning the title is not the problem, but winning it with zero credibility against an over wrestler, that's bad. Triple threat was fun. Gunther/Damian could have used more interference from Judgement Day, lol. Mens Wargames was a fun main event especially with the babyfaces interactions."

[8.0] "(8.4/10) Hopefully, next year creative will ride to take a break from the War Games stipulation. At least, give everyone a break and let us miss it for a period so that when it returns it'll be fresh to our hearts. But if they indeed decide to do so, then what a hell of a showcase they boomed to go out with a bang and the culmination to many months of 2024. Another fire ppv for the main-roster to close it's greatest year."

[7.0] "This was my first PPV to watch live since getting back into wrestling, and this was a pretty solid event! The women's WarGames was okay... I really do think that not a lot of people stood out from this match, where Iyo and Rhea were the main highlights, with maybe Raquel having a solid outing for what I expected of her. Shinsuke vs. LA Knight had a surprising ending, and (much to my dismay) gave me hope on a bright light for Shinsuke's time as US Champion. For the match itself, though... it wasn't too notable. I'd give a higher rating if they had more time, because I felt like the match was kind of abrupt. The IC Triple Threat was honestly what I was excited for, because I enjoy all three participants a lot. Ludwig is very underrated, Bron is the most exciting force in WWE today, and Sheamus is having some of his best matches in his late 40s. This was a very good match, very close to the best of the night. The world heavyweight match was underwhelming, mainly with how predictable the end was. Finn interfering was bound to happen, and it kind of made the match get overshadowed, as I often forget this was even in the PPV. And the men's WarGames, while also a predictable outcome, was very good and my MOTN! This probably should've been the end of the bloodline feud altogether, but it's not too much of a bother. Bronson Reed is the MVP of that match, the guy literally broke his foot to entertain the audience. Overall, the definition of a solid PPV."

[6.0] "Survivor Series was a perfectly fine, standard PPV event. The Intercontinental triple threat was my match of the night. A great, all action, fast paced match! Sheamus is so underrated. Both War Games matches felt like they dragged way too long. The Men's War Games was a very good match, where parts were excellent, but too much felt like filler. The Women's match was just a boring match, besides Io & Stratton's double moonsaults of the cage this was a slog to get through. Gunther & Priest was a good title match, something was missing compared with their previous match - but fine nonetheless. (6/10)"

[9.0] "Despite a euthanasia-like first part, the second is a masterpiece and concludes with a legendary ending, destined to remain in the iconography of the Triple H era. This PPV is on a par with SummerSlam in 2024, despite having less continuity of performances and is second only to the monumental masterpiece that is WrestleMania 40. At PPV level, 2024 ends on a high note, after having delivered a very high level over the course of all these months. Simply thank you, Hunter. (8, 5/10)"

[5.0] "Honestly I think every single match underwhelmed in some aspect except for the main event. The women's match was just sloppy and boring. The U.S Championship was vastly underwhelming and boring, but at least we got something cool out of it. The Intercontinental title match was good but I expected more, same goes for the Heavyweight Championship. The Men's WarGames though was the highlight of the show. Very interesting story wise and super fun to watch."
Jeaver wrote on 18.12.2024:
[7.0] "The first two matches of this card definitely underwhelmed, but the 3 matches following I felt brought it back a little bit. The best match of the night being the triple threat and the worst being the womens war games match. This did not feel as big as it probably should've with both wargames matches under delivering. Neither were bad, but not to the standard expected with the talented billed. 6.5/10"

Frank Shooter wrote on 15.12.2024:
[7.0] "I've read somewhere that this show was a disappointment, that it was mediocre and stuff. I don't really understand what some people look for in wrestling. When they ask for compelling stories and they get one they just don't appreciate it enough because it lacks "aura", when they ask for great in-ring performances, they complain about it not having compelling stories. I just don't understand those who thinks this show was bad at all, because it was quite solid. I wouldn't say it was great because there was some week stuff, but it was satisfying and fun enough and it was filled with good stories and matches. Men's WarGames and the IC Title match were the best matches of the show. One was the best worked match of the show, with a good dose of storytelling that was built for months with the Kaiser and Sheamus rivalry and their integration into the title picture, with Bron Breakker being portrayed as the next future big star in the right way, little by little, making him earning the accolades. The men's WarGames started quite dull, with some little moments being the only interesting thing about the match, then once CM Punk enters the match the dynamic completely changes. The beatdown of the New Bloodline to the OG's, the tensions between Punk and Roman growing before it reversed thanks to Punk saving Roman from the Tsunami, the whole team gathering to finish Solo, great intensity, good spots, right war aura and satisfying moments all over the place. That second half made the match truly good. Then, we move to the weaker stuff. Gunther vs Priest was one of the best storytelling matches of the year in WWE. Gunther and Priest delivered a perfect psychological performance and the story was interesting to watch being developed. Great and logical selling, coherent limbwork by Gunther, Priest struggling to regain control, Gunther regaining his confidence once Priest got hurt in the shoulder. Then, what's the problem here? Damian Priest having a lower ceiling. Dude is a really good wrestler and does a lot of things good, but he is not in the level of the true greats. He is not a Danielson, a Styles, a Gunther, a Dragunov, an Okada, an Omega, an Ospreay, a Hangman, a Switchblade... He is really good, but not great, and his in-ring work is too limited to push to the next level, thus making Gunther's performance level get lower than his true potential, thus making the match look dull. The finish was half good and half bad. I'm ok with Gunther winning by interference because it keeps the story of his insecurities alive, but it also keeps the boring Priest vs Bálor feud open. The US title match was solidly worked, but that's it. No story in there whatsoever, nothing to be invested in. No LA Knight showing some kind of fear or insecurities like Nakamura claims he has, Nakamura's sinister character didn't shine enough. I'd liked to have LA Knight as Champion a bit longer, he was doing a good job with the title and I think the title needed him to regain some importance, but I'm not going to lie when I say I love Nakamura getting a victory at last and winning a title. Let's see where this character leads him too, I hope it brings back some of the old Shinsuke level back. Female WarGames was the worst match of the night, no surprise in there. A match that just exists to not make female wrestling stans (the same that claims all female WarGames were better than men's, duh) go off on twitter complaining about women not having the same treatment as men. That's the result of that, an awful amalgam of stories thrown in together. The in-ring performance was not as bad as I read everywhere, it was decent, but not good enough for this stipulation, with the only interesting moment of the match being a really forced, predictable and overdone spot with Io and Tiffany diving at the same time. A barely decent performance from the girls (except from the weak ass chair shots) for an awful "story". Really solid show."

[8.0] "The first half of the show was kinda weak, with the Womens WarGames opener being highly disappointing for what it was, and Knight vs Shinsuke being expectedly mid, however, that Triple Threat was the turning point for the show, with the rest of it being good to great. Gunther/Priest was not as good as their SummerSlam match but still pretty good, although I did expect it to be a little better. Then we get to the Mens WarGames, which was just amazing. An amazing blend of storytelling, action and big spots all over. A strong finish to the show. Overall, a good end to the main roster PPV cycle for WWE this year. Womens WarGames - ***, Knight/Naks - **3/4, Bron/Sheamus/Kaiser - ****1/4, Gunther/Priest - ***1/2, Mens WarGames - ****1/4."

[4.0] "This show flat out stank. Both of the WarGames matches were bad, albeit for different reasons. They were both, however, proof of concept that the WarGames gimmick needs to be retired until it might matter a bit more. The IC title triple-threat was easily the best thing on the show, as despite it going along traditionally tropey three-way lines, Bron Breakker was excellent and showed his significant and continued improvements over recent times."
DanTalksRasslin wrote on 08.12.2024:
[6.0] "Of the regular matches, the Breakker-Kaiser-Sheamus three-way was easily the best of the card and one of Breakker's career-best matches thus far; I think having him pin Sheamus rather than Kaiser was also a wise decision as Sheamus was the most established name in the match and despite being reigning champ, Breakker's still relatively new to the main roster (and relatively early in his career), so pinning Sheamus was a nice rub for Breakker. Gunther vs. Priest was also good, and while Gunther's current "unsure of himself after losing to Cody" angle may have dinged the actual match quality slightly, I do find that kind of story and character arc compelling. Nakamura vs LA Knight was also solid and did what it needed to do; serve as a showcase for Nakamura's new gimmick and make him look as menacing as possible while taking the title after getting in Knight's head (if it was planned, Knight fumbling his belt during his entrance was a nice touch; if it was a genuine slip-up it was a fortuitous one). In terms of the WarGames matches - I really didn't care for the women's one that much; the action was mostly OK, but it felt very samey, built around the same kind of spots - or in some cases, like IYO coming off the cage wearing the trash can, the exact SAME spots - we've seen in these matches before, and there wasn't a strong enough storyline for the women to justify it being in WarGames. The men's WarGames match was better due to a stronger story going into it and stronger story possibilities coming out of it, though it did have a few rough spots including a few that led to legitimate injuries to Reed, Loa and Jimmy Uso. Overall a decent show - but next year I'd be fine with them taking a year off from the WarGames gimmick, and even if they don't, I'd like to see at least one traditional Survivor Series match return (just find a better angle for it than "brand vs. brand")."

The triple threat was amazing and one of the best of the night, the World Title match was great, however didn't deliver on the level their previous match was and felt kinda rinsed and repeat. Finally the men's War Games match was absolutely amazing and I loved it. Overall the second half of this match was good but the first half really brings it down."

Roman and Punk had this tension that added a cool dynamic. The match had some questionable moments like locking the cage, which didn't make much sense but it ended strong with Solo Sikoa eating everyones finishers."

Shinsuke Nakamura: A largely okay match, not PLE worthy should have been better suited on an episode of Smackdown [**]. Bron Breakker vs Ludwig Kaiser vs Sheamus: It lived up to expectations, it was a physical three way match with all three having a good outing, definitely one to watch [****]. Gunther vs Damian Priest: Finn Balor getting involved again did not need to happen, not as good as their match at SummerSlam, the match did underwhelm slightly [***1/4]. CM Punk, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn vs Bronson Reed, Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa: Punk and Reigns barely managed to be on the same page here, the match was better than the womens WarGames match earlier in the night, the ending felt right here with Reigns pinning Sikoa [****]"

Nakamura[5] - Love Nakamura's new samurai look, but the match was boring and not sure why they had Knight drop the title to Shinsuke. Breakker Vs. Kaiser Vs. Sheamus[8] - A great triple threat match that along with the main event, kept the PLE afloat. Gunther Vs. Priest[6] - Very disappointing considering their first encounter was brilliant, didn't understand the ending. Men's Wargames Match[9] - One of the best Wargames matches in recent history, respect to Bronson and Jimmy for putting their bodies on the line."

[9.0] "What an event! The women's wargames was disappointing (honestly it was sxxt lol) until the last 5 minutes with Iyo and Tiffany being the clear standouts. Nakamura winning was a clear surprise and with a new look, he put a good performance today, so I hope WWE invest more into him unlike the last year where he has lost all his major matches. The triple threat ruled. Bron Breakker is a clear future world champion is so awesome to just watch. Sheamus has been continuing on a career renaissance since 2022 and this was another banger match to the add to his catalogue of his awesome 2024. Priest and Gunther was really good too with Priest putting a shift in and gunther always being great. Didn't like the finn interference again though. Now The MAIN EVENT! Probably the best wargames they have had since WWE brought it back, amazing storytelling especially with punk and roman. Jacob Fatu looked like a star in the cage and I can't wait for what he does in the future. Jimmy Uso was the surprising MVP of the match for him. I wonder where this jimmy was in the mania match with Jey . But again the punk and roman stuff was really good and I can't wait for a feud between them in the future. All in all , I loved the show and had a great time with. The opener was the only disappointment for me and the last 3 matches ruled, especially the main event."

The US Championship match I enjoyed and Im glad they are building up Nakamura and giving hes new character a chance. I really enjoyed the Triple threat IC match and was really invested into the entire match. The WHC match was another good match and had an old school feel to it which I liked because it stood out from the rest of the matches. The mens war games was amazing and I was invested throughout the entire match and loved the storytelling with Punk & Roman. I think people who were upset With the show had high expectations of The Rock showing up or a surprise but its not always a guarantee to have The Rock all the time. I thought it was a very good show and cant wait for Saturday Nights Main Event!"

The Women's WarGames was good but didn't have good storyline and got some sloppy spots (The sequences at the second half of the match saved it). A surprisining title change happened, followed by the best match in-ring wise. Gunther VS Damian was too slow for me and the finish was felt a bit cheap. The main event really the high with many big moments and some drama."

[6.0] "It was pointed out that the last time Vancouver hosted a WWE pay-per-view was in 1998 with Rock Bottom, and fortunately this pay-per-view was not quite so. I am still a newer fan of WWE and professional wrestling, so I had never seen a Survivor Series or WarGames before. I am at least glad to have gotten to see both ends of the spectrum of quality. On the upside, a really exciting main event with the male WarGames match having plenty of tension, great spots, and a heart-rousing ending. On the downside, the female WarGames match was a mess and now serves as the crown jewel (no pun intended) of my distaste for WWE and their booking of women -- too many women doing not enough wrestling, committing way too many botches, and delivering an unfulfilling product. Need I remind everyone that this feud started over a man -- in the year 2024? Can we not do better than this? All three of the title matches were decent at worst and excellent at best, with a genuinely surprising win for Shinsuke Nakamura -- what a way to make a comeback! -- but ultimately when only one of the two matches in the title of an event succeeds it makes for an incredibly shaky viewing experience. There is still plenty to be brought forward from this -- tension between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, Sheamus failing to finish his story, Finn Balor and Damian Priest reigniting their feud -- so there is hope for this next set of stories. But overall, a fairly mediocre event that started at Rock Bottom but rose just enough to be Meeting in the Middle."

Knight vs. Nakamura was surprising but questionable. The IC Title match was great and had me on those close falls. The IC triple threat was the match of the night, with Bron Breakker again very impressive. Gunther/Priest was solid enough despite the finish. The men's war games match mostly revolved around Roman/Punk which is what will be remembered most here as the action itself wasn't all that spectacular. War games is often hyped up to be a dangerous, potentially career ending match but what happened inside the cage wasn't reflective of that at all. I think it would be better used like hell in a cell was at Bad Blood, rather than squeezing out two matches on one night every year. It worked last year, but failed this year. Sometimes they can feel forced and you often end up seeing the same wrestlers involved. At least the men's one had a story to it, which made it more interesting. The women's one was among the worst war games matches of all time though."

[6.0] "I get so bored with WWE PLE's nowadays, so many promo packages, replays and adverts really just make me care less and less about the matches. This was again a predictable and other than 2 matches, quite boring show. The Wargames stipulation is quickly falling in to the same category that Survivor Series did, they're doing it just because it's the name of the show - at least in the women's case. The story going in to it simply didn't work, 4 of the members of the heel team were feuding last month and yet there was more tension on the Face's between Bayley and Iyo (last interacted in April) and Bayley and Bianca (last against each other more than a year ago). They gave a decent performance, but again Liv was booked very poorly, Rhea was booked as indestructible, Nia worked some of the worst chair shots I've ever seen and Iyo did another awesome trash can dive. But I've seen the Rhea Liv thing all before, and they hinted at continuing the feud? Jesus Christ Triple H get a new storyline! LA Knight and Shinsuke did alright but nothing special, Again for a company that pride themselves on the being the best storytellers, they gave LA Knight NOTHING in his title reign, nobody to overcome, just him interfering in other people's stuff then dropping the belt to Nakamura - Give him something better to work with! I like Nakamura's presentation here, he came across as the best heel version of himself I've seen. Bron vs Sheamus vs Kaiser was awesome, and the highlight of this show by far. Sheamus needs to win that IC Title at Mania or an event in Ireland. Kaiser presented himself very well in his first singles PLE match, he'll be a force for sure in years to come. Gunther VS Priest... Another Raw storyline that sucks, everything about the build in this was awful, Priest literally just stood tall over Gunther every single week, it was like Super Cena had been reborn. Considering I gave this match a 5/10, and that usually Gunther matches automatically get a 5/10 from me just for having Gunther, that says alot. I don't think Priest is all that good in the ring, he's safe - nothing more, and his world title reign was the worst world title reign since maybe Brock Lesnar in early 2022. This detracted from the match, which again was pretty decent like their Summerslam encounter, but then Triple H messed it all up by having Finn Balor come out and attack Priest... The exact same ending as Summerslam, so basically the story (although rubbish) meant nothing as there was no payoff on either side. Also we've gone backwards - Finn Balor, The WWE Tag Team Champion, is now involved in a singles feud with Priest - AGAIN. After losing clean the first time. The story sucked the first time, why are we doing it again - furthermore with Balor vs Gunther announced for SNME, it is so obvious that Priest is going to do the exact same thing to Balor? This is unexciting, it's stupid and just downright disrespectful to the viewer of a world title feud. There hasn't been a single meaningful Tag Team Title Feud on Raw this year because one half of the champions is too busy running away from Damien Priest every week. It sucks, end it PLEASE! I have no idea why Triple H cant just move on from the Liv/Rhea & Priest/Balor feuds. Finally we end on the mens war games, this was a good story based matchup - Not much else to say on it, good in ring action, standout performances from Jimmy Uso and Bronson Reed. Surely that's the last we see of Roman until the new year, still waiting on the Solo VS Roman singles match, and further to that the Roman vs Jacob match. Jacob Fatu being booked like a monster so often - even in the face of CM Punk is great to see. Final thoughts - Decent In Ring work, awful storylines that did not develop throughout the night except in the main event. These past few months have been very tough to watch Raw, they give screen time to those who don't deserve it, have questionable match winners and the storylines for the most part honestly suck. Smackdown has been much better in every single way. I hope things pick up again around Rumble season because right now, WWE isn't the best for wrestling and it isn't telling good stories. Do Better."

[7.0] "The women's war games match was somewhat disappointing, despite its already low bar, I feel as if the match concept itself was hastily put together without much thought, which made the match suffer in its quality as well. The US title match was also disappointing, but it was watchable, and it was an unexpected result for me at least. The triple threat was great though, and had me excited for the rest of the PPV. The World Championship match wasn't as good as their match at SummerSlam at all, but it did what it had to do advancing Gunther's storyline of self-doubt and reintroducing Finn and Damian for a hopefully better grudge match than they had at Bad Blood, also doing just enough to keep the crowd excited for the main event. For the main event, the men's war games match, in terms of storyline and satisfaction, this one is up there, and the match did an excellent job of saving an otherwise mediocre PPV. While the second half of the PPV was about a high 8 for me, the first half was really hard to get through, so it dragged my rating down to a 7 personally."

HHH is just playing it safe because let's be honest he isn't Vince so he is the greatest in many people's eyes! Don't go out of your way to watch this, maybe catch Bron vs Ludwig vs Sheamus other than that everything else is just average nothing special."

I thought this Survivor Series PLE was solid and was a great way to be the last PLE of 2024. The match of the night was indeed the Men's WarGame Match as it was such a fun match. I really hope next year they can change it up and make it a Traditional 5 vs. 5 Matches again with something on the line but a very solid event and not mad about it."

The high-flying action and drama were off the charts, especially with CM Punk adding that extra layer of intensity. Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso were hands down the MVPs of the match. Their spots were insane. While the Women's WarGames match didnt hit the mark for me but it also had that crazy spots from Iyo and Tiffany, and the other matches were good but not mind-blowing, the Mens WarGames match truly elevated the whole show. It was an emotional rollercoaster and a fitting way to cap off a fantastic year for WWE!"

"[5.0] Pretty disappointing card I'm not gonna lie, expected more from the Gunther-Priest match and the Bloodline Civil War match just felt like it was missing that extra punch, maybe Solo should've gone over?"

Well the Main Event was awesome, great story and an equally awesome match. All in all I was quite satisfied after watching it live"

[5.0] "WWE Survivor Series: War Games 2024 was another disappointing PLE this year, which by the way WWE has a very poor second half this year in its specials. The show starts badly with the women's War Games that is on the card as always to be the women's quota, and in this case it wasn't even good, as always Iyo (Tiffy too) saved this match that was terrible with negative emphasis on the two world champions who were terrible throughout the match, WWE managed to put two of the worst women available in terms of in-ring ability to hold their world titles simultaneously, in addition to Rhea Ripley once again pins Liv, further discrediting the reign that is already bad (this feud should have ended at Bad Blood). The match for the US Title was a surprise because I didn't expect Nakamura to beat the very popular LA Knight who had been having a decent reign, good visual presentation of this new Shinsuke samurai, I hope this time they give him a decent reign in the mid card. The triple threat for the IC Title was the match I was most excited about and I had real hopes of seeing Sheamus win, but Bron retaining isn't bad because this kid has a lot of talent and even though for me he was the best of the match, but all three were great, MOTN by far. The rematch for the WHC at SummerSlam disappointed me as much as the original match, I will NEVER accept seeing Gunther need help to beat Damian Priest, that's ridiculous, and again, just like in the women's War Games, WWE continues to want to force this feud from the end of Judgment Day, by the way, our dear HHH is doing everything he can to destroy the champion's dominant aura, which is one of his coolest characteristics. Men's War Games, I'm fed up with Roman Reigns and Bloodline since last year, and even though most of the match was pretty mediocre, the ending with all the members (and Punk) applying their finishers on Solo was pretty cool, Jacob was the clear MVP here and I see great things for him in the future, now we'll see where this tension between Roman and Punk will lead. Overall a candidate for WWE's worst PPV of the year. Women's War Games (**1/4), Knight vs. Nakamura (**), Bron vs. Sheamus vs. Kaiser (***3/4), Gunther vs. Priest (***), Men's War Games (***1/4)."
