[5.0] "A show that felt cobbled together, with only the main event having an real build and tbh that was a bit of a let down. Ibushis short AEW run has been overall a disappointing affair. I'm glad Paul Wight was taken out early because he looked rough. The matches were all fine, but uninspiring."

[5.0] "After a solid show last week, we're back with a weirdly boring episode of Dynamite. Seriously, this felt twice as long as it actually was, probably due to an underwhelming card of overlong matches and middling segments. AEW usually has hot opening matches, but from the get-go, something was clearly not clicking with the crowd. OC doing a repeat of his last storyline almost 1:1 is lazy. Skye Blue wrestled like she's on a 3-second delay. Squash matches aren't believable or even useful in 2023. And The Bucks are inexplicably still present on my TV screen doing the exact same things they've always done. It's just so... samey. But for all of the grime on this show, there were still some redeeming qualities. Swerve/Hangman had a great, believable promo that actually features a modicum of intensity and hatred between the two of them. The Bucks turning heel is somewhat refreshing, since they're barely characters as faces. The goofy Yakuza tie-in match was fun when it wasn't completely laughable, and I'll give it credit for waking the crowd up and having one or two brutal looking spots. It's good that Joe is being featured weekly, though pointless squashes are not a way to build up a world title contender that doesn't even need to be built up in the first place. MJF's generic babyface promo was okay, but Jay White barely has the fire to compete with him on the mic. If this is what a 2023 Dynamite is like when you don't center the entire episode around MJF, I don't know if it has enough steam to keep people invested. I wish I could give this a higher rating, but one entertaining match and segment on a 2 hour show is a tough sell, especially when nothing else grabbed me."

[7.0] "Best part of this show was the Hangman and Swerve promo. MJF also had a good promo. The Kingdom is hilarious right now trying to get Cole to turn of MJF. The matches on this show didn't do much for me. MOTN was the Bucks vs Penta/Komander. Main Event was not what I expected and I think it could have been better."

[4.0] "I felt nothing this episode outside of the Hangman/Swerve confrontation. I'd say that Hangman not only shines in this kind of heated rivalry, he needs it. Anything to keep him away from being the soppy drunken anxious guy who falls in and out with his friends. Credit to those guys for betting things back on track after that awful home invasion bit. Now they probably have the hottest angle going into the PPV. Maybe the only angle with any measurable heat at all. I can barely remember what happened at the end with MJF and Bullet Club Gold. I think the poor main event really took me out of things. It already felt like AEW was leaning too hard into Reddit-tier comedy in the past few weeks and then that match happened."

[9.0] "Amazing show to have after a cold streak, this had almost everything. Great storytellings, a lot of progression in the stories, important things and very few random moments. This was what a weekly show should be, focused on stories and making it intriguing for the next chapters."

[5.0] "Another middle ground AEW show. The main highlights of the show were me were the Strickland/Page promo and MJFs promo to close the show. The Bucks/Penta and Komander match was my favorite match of the show and was a solid match to establish the Bucks as heels. First two matches were fine but I expected a bit more."

[7.0] "This was a good episode. We opened with Orange Cassidy and Hook taking on the Blackpool Combat Club in a match that started slow, but became quite good. We then got Skye Blue vs. Red Velvet in a match that was good until the botched finish. After that, Samoa Joe beat Jon Cruz in one of the more entertaining squash matches I've ever seen. We then got the Match of the Night, as the Young Bucks faced Penta El Zero Miedo and Komander. The Gunns then beat Jacoby Watts and Peter Avalon in another squash. Finally, we got the Like a Dragon Gaiden Street Fight as Kota Ibushi, Paul Wight, and the Golden Jets took on Brian Cage and the Don Callis Family in a very fun match."

"A good show this week. The beginning went from less to more between Moxley/Yuta vs Orange/Hook, a great post match promo by Moxley to better warm up the fight for the title. Sky vs Velvet was poor, nothing more to say about this. A great match between Bucks vs Penta/Komander, well moved and without so many errors. Great Street Fight leaving great moments and an outstanding final segment of MJF. The only thing I would criticize is Joe and Gunns' squash, they don't lead anywhere. For that, it is better to make a promo without the need for a short match. 8/10"

"Another very good Dynamite the good thing; - Red Velvet that made good use of his time out of tv and came back with a great level in the ring. - Comander again showing off - Very entertaining match Like a Dragon Gaiden The bad: Jay White being boring as in all the rivalry with MJF."

[9.0] "The show started off slow. Orange Cassidy opening Dynamite is basically a norm at this point. The second half however, oh my. Wild Dynamites are the best Dynamites. The Young Bucks vs Penta/Komander was my personal MOTN. The Bucks work better as heels. But the fun didn't stop there. The eight-man street fight got me on the edge of my seat the whole time. That bodyslam from Hobbs to Paul Wight was easily one of the craziest spot in Dynamite's history. And the piledriver from Fletcher to Ibushi was a holy shit moment. Was weird to see Ibushi get up before Fletcher though. He still looks a tad lost in his AEW matches. I'm sure MJF/White will deliver, but I'm not into their feud as much as I thought I would. Swerve/Hangman could easily be for the world title belt. All in all, very entertaining Dynamite that got me pumped up for Full Gear."

[8.0] "A good episode of Dynamite this week, could have been better without the 2 squash matches, the segments were good as well, a good go home episode towards Full Gear . Hook & Orange Cassidy vs Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta: A good preview of Moxley and Cassidy at Full Gear, it was chaotic before the bell even rang when Hook and Cassidy jumped Moxley and Yuta, Moxley gaining momentum heading into the Full Gear match was good to see [***1/4]. Skye Blue vs Red Velvet: Good back and forth match, Blue winning was okay but would like to have seen Velvet win, but Blue winning was obvious choice to win as her involvement with Julia Hart will continue into the title match at Full Gear [***1/4]. Samoa Joe vs Jon Cruz: A dominant victory for Samoa Joe [*]. Komander & Penta El Zero Miedo vs The Young Bucks: Great match, paced rightly throughout the match with some great action throughout, YB resorting to underhanded tactics did ruin the match slightly but still worth watching [***3/4]. The Gunns vs Jacoby Watts & Peter Avalon: A really quick victory for The Gunns ahead of them challenging for the ROH Tag Titles at Full Gear [DUD]. Brian Cage, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher & Powerhouse Hobbs vs Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi & Paul Wight: This street fight was as wild if not wilder than expected, all involved gave their best within the match and it showed with quite a few brutal spots like Powerhouse Hobbs hitting a bodyslam on Paul Wight on the car or Kyle Fletcher hitting Kota Ibushi with a tombstone piledriver through the sign through the chairs just to name a few. Jericho, Omega, Ibushi and Wight winning was the right choice [****1/2]"

[8.0] "Strong ultimate Dynamite before Full Gear overall. Things that I liked included Hangman's fantastic promo on Swerve, the surprisingly strong women's match between Blue and Velvet, Miro's promo, Toni Storm's backstage segment, the Bucks versus Penta/Komander (first Komander match I really liked, to be honest), the Bucks fully turning heel (as Matt said, it's their best version) and even the Street Fight was really good. Although, honestly, I hated the bumps in that match for their danger: the Tombstone on Ibushi through the stacked-up chairs, the Suplex on Omega through the tables, Paul Wight who can barely walk being recklessly tossed half-way unto a car windshield and who knows what broke inside him when he slid to the floor. Guys, I really admire your work ethic, but some of this stuff is way too extreme. Commentary was excellent again."

[3.0] "Dynamite has been desperately missing that cant miss feel to it lately, and this show epitomized it for me. The only highlights were the continuation of Samoa Joes chase of MJF, the continued tease of the Devil (thought the Roderick Strong shtick is long overplayed), and the hangman/swerve angle. Honestly was one of the best promos of Hangmans career. Dynamite needs to go back to Hangman being one of the MOST featured main eventers."

[7.0] "AEW is following the trend of good shows as of late with a very solid go-home show for Full Gear. The opener was decent but extremely dissapointing considering tha talents involved. It lacked of heat and energy to be really enjoyable. Blue vs. Velvet was soild. They tried hard to make it work and altough they didn't succeded most of the time, I apprecitate the effort. Really hyped for Full Gear's three way, though and Velvet has been on a roll since her return. Hangman's promo was awesome, one of his best promos in a long time. He just reminded all of us what he's capable of. They really got back on track with his feud, that after WrestleDream wasn't inspiring that much. Samoa Joe had a fun squash. Young Bucks vs. Penta and Komander was the best match of the night. Very fun, fast-paced and intense with lots of cool moments. The best the Bucks have looked in quite some time and the possibility of seeing them as heels again makes me really happy as I think the heel version is the Bucks from 2020 to 2021 is the peak of Young Bucks and in general they work much better as heels. The Gunns has a useless squash. The "Like A Dragon" street fight was a fun main event, far from being perfcet but very fun to watch. Some hilarious moments like Ibushi riding a bike and a couple of really good spots like Cage's superplex on the tables or Fletcher's tombstone on the chairs. A nice ending to what could've been a much better feud. MJF's promo was good, nothing outstanding but an enjoyable final segment between him and White before Full Gear. Overall: a good show, a couple of really good matches and a great storylines progession. Like last week's show it kinda left a sour taste in my mouth because it could've been a bit better but I can't complain too much. Very hyped for Full Gear, one of the best build-ups AEW has ever done for a Pay-Per-View."

[7.0] "AEW is not in its best days anymore, especially when we talk about their weekly shows. This one was good, nothing special, but very solid. It started very well and ended with a good Street Fight match. The promo between Adam Page and Swerve was a very good moment on this show, one of my favorites. Full Gear has a good card, but the majority of the matches were not booked well, in my opinion. I'm pretty sure that they will do a great PPV, but I think they should focus more on weekly shows, even more so now that they have three shows a week."

[7.0] "This was solid. Opener was good, starts with OC and Hook trying to get the jump on the BCC. Commentary does a good job recapping the dynamics of the guys involved. Mox and Orange certainly sold their animosity towards each other. Red Velvet continues to look great even though I think Skye is being pushed too quickly. Couple of squash matches and a fun tag match where the Bucks cement their heel turn. The Luchas are really running the tag division right now in terms of refreshing, quality performances. Main event was scattered but fun insanity, and probably the most on-point sponsorship match I've ever seen. The promos were all great, with Hangman just going off the rails, the Bucks turning heel against Jericho and Kenny, and Toni having a fun segment with Mariah May. The weakest was probably between MJF and White, just because I feel this feud has lost much of its heat going into Full Gear."

[9.0] "It is about damn time AEW felt like this again, holy moly what a fun show, the only negative is that to me Jay White still isn't believable as someone who can beat MJF, needed more clean wins over top guys, but other than that, some fantastic in ring action from the Bucks vs Penta/Komander, great fun squashes and promos, shockingly good womens match, and my god that Like a Dragon street fight, the most bat shit insane crazy match you'll see on TV, made Hobbs look like a killer, but most of all the promo between Hangman and Swerve made me absolutely go wild, it's about DAMN TIME Hangman gave a shit again, and he did tonight, a fantastic show building to one of the best AEW PPVs of all time (I hope)"
