[6.0] "Very tough show to rate because some things worked while other didn't but overall there were more positive things. Blackpool Combat Club vs. Starks/Big Bill was a really good match, best match of the night. Ftr vs. Iron Savages wasn't anything special, Ftr are great but I'm not into Iron Savages. Then the Workhorsemen showed up and challenged Ftr for a title match. I know this was the point of Ftr's challenge, giving younger teams the opportunity to step up and get a shot at the titles but the Workhorsemen and the Iron Savages are not teams that I want to see challenge the Ftr. Silver vs. Bowens was good, better than I expected. Eddie Kingston cut an awesome promo, his best promo in a while. Toni Storm's portrait of a star was great and Miro's viedo package was great as well. Keith Lee's botched backstage segment was embarassing, whether it was intentional or not. Sky vs. Andrade was alright and Jay White challenged Andrade in the post-match, which was really cool. Really hyped to see their match even if they could've done it at WrestleDream. Aussie Open had a squash match and then challenged Ftr for WrestleDream, another match I'm really looking foward to see. I skipped Righteous vs. Hardys as I didn't care at all. I rarely skip show or matches and when I do it, it's because I really don't care. Who the fuck are the Righteous, who the fuck is Shane Taylor and why they are on my TV? I don't watch Ring of Honor so I don't know who they are and everytime they will be on my Tv, I won't watch their stuff. Statlander vs. Baker was a solid main event. The action was enjoyable and the closing stretch was great. Statlander is having a great run as champion and Baker looked in a much better shape than in some of her previous matches. Overall: there were things that I hated but there were good matches, nice build-up for WrestleDream and for next week's Collision and some excellent promos so it was a good show."
[4.0] "A boring episode outside of the opening tag match and an okay main event. This felt like two hours of Rampage, mostly the middle portion of Rampage which no one cares about. There were several hard-sells on this card, including The Hardys, The Righteous, The Hardys vs The Righteous, Scorpio Sky, squash matches, Britt Baker, Britt Baker in the main event, and John Silver as a heel. Iron Savages seem to be leaning into the arsehole-licking thing. Maybe next we can get a wrestler who mimes sniffing panties or drinking a jug of piss."
"I loved Eddie Kingston's promo on this show. Made me really excited about Grand Slam, which should be a great show anyway but looking forward to the Kingston v Cesaro match which has been really well built. Just a shame how dead the crowd was for this show. AEW feels like its going through a bit of a cold run now, with Punk having screwed up the momentum once again."
[4.0] "Very boring card for tonight most of these matches have next to no story or heat behind them and are quick squashes FTR and Aussie Open both picked up quick wins and will be facing each other which may be interesting I really liked Aussie Open and the run they had with the ROH belts and I can actually see them as strong challengers to FTR. the BCC lost to a cheating Ricky and Bill which I have to say was very predictable and made me yawn at the end of their long ass match. Shame there was squash matches that lasted less than 2 minutes in order for this match go for so long. Toni Storm segments just show us she's carrying this weak women's division on her back right now.. Her and Kris Statlander.. Who picked up a nice win against Britt Baker I really liked the reversal of Britt's iconic submission at the end and Britt Baker should stay chasing the women's and TBS championships she has been built up to be a main eventer (Even though I really don't see it she isn't that good). But besides the first couple of matches and maybe the main event this is mostly a skip and mostly filler."
[8.0] "A great opener, a good main event that showcased how good Stat is by carrying Britt's boring ass, and a group of excellent promos by Miro, Kingston, Storm, Switchblade, and Starks. This is good weekly wrestling TV right here. The matches in the middle were just there though, they all could've been better outside of the Aussie squash which was what it needed to be. FTR vs Savages/Bear Country really should've gotten twice the time; Bronson & Boulder are a great team that AEW has NEVER done anything with and I really wish they would because they absolutely rule when they get the chance to work. 8"
[4.0] "Saw this one live and was thoroughly disappointed. Very dead crowd, no doubt because of the heatless card. I enjoyed the first match and the main event a lot but everything else was C-Show material, and felt uninteresting from on every front. Definitely could've been a better show. Having Britt lose here was definitely a poor choice since you could've at least gave the crowd *something* to go home with."
[8.0] "Both the Main Event and the opening match were good book-ends for a solid night of wrestling, even if there's was no standout performance (personally, I thought the Andrade vs Scorpio Sky match featured the best in-ring stuff but it wasn't working with the live audience so I can't reward it as much). The promo from Jay White was a standout moment from the show, and the pre-tape stuff with Toni Storm and Eddie Kingston worked for me. The promo packages for Kingston/Claudio and Omega/Ibushi were the right length and should help orient the audience around the stories they're currently telling. The tag team division needs a big match to reinvigorate things, so hopefully FTR and Aussie Open can deliver an awesome match at WrestleDream. I do hope to see more of the Iron Savages though - they're a fun team that might get over with a little screen-time and a good catchline. The backstage promos from Keith Lee and FTR didn't do much for me, and the in-ring promos Aussie Open and The Righteous should move plots forward but I also didn't find either of them to be memorable."
[3.0] "One of the worst professional wrestling shows Ive seen in a long while. I mean you have The Hardy's losing clean to some nobodys who wont be on TV in a year or two tops, there is absolutely no story besides Ricky and Danielson during the show and even that was mid at best. Every promo on the show was meaningless. Just a terrible episode glad I skipped it last night for UFC, but upset I went back the next day and watched it. AEW is in shambles it feels like honestly. No good storys or future matches besides MJF and Samoa Joe. Even then thats mid compared to the competition. AEW better step it up soon."
[6.0] "This was a very disappointing show. The opening match and the main event were good, but the rest was quite boring. We opened with the Blackpool Combat Club taking on Ricky Starks and Big Bill in a very good match. This lead into FTR squashing the Iron Savages in order to set up a match with the Workhorsemen? I don't think the open challenges are working. We then got John Silver vs. Anthony Bowens. This match was fine, but there wasn't any drama, since it was obvious that silver would win to set up a trios match. We then got Aussie Open squashing some more jobbers. They made a point that they beat their last two teams of jobber opponents in less time than it took FTR to beat the Iron Savages, but that doesn't make the matches better. Andrade El Idolo then fought Scorpio Sky to see who was less relevant in AEW nowadays. We then got the Hardys vs. the Righteous in a frankly depressing match. I say this every time they wrestle, but the Hardys need to stop. Finally, in the Match of the Night, Kris Statlander defeated Britt Baker to defend her TBS Title in a very good match."
[6.0] "Since All Out, AEW had been in the weird place where the wrestling had been pretty average but the promos and programmes have been heating up. If only they could get both right at the same time we would get very good tv. Eddies promo made me want to fight Claudio in New York never mind watch Kingston do it."
[7.0] "A solid Collision bookended by the BCC tag and the TBS Title match, with some middling stuff inbetween. Good set up for Grand Slam on Wednesday, especially driving home the cheap tickets remaining on sale. A rare error showing the production cue for the Keith Lee promo, which they actually parodied later with the Ricky Starks promo. And we got TONI STORM: PORTRAIT OF A STAR. I knew RJ City was behind all this!"
[8.0] "Good show. Great opening match, awesome mid card match between Andrade and Scorpio, good main event. This show had everything that you expect from a TV taping. This show helped build for Grand Slam as well as for Wrestle-Dream. Glad to see Starks and Big Bill pick up a win over BCC. The FTR match wasnt for me, but it seemed like everyone involved had a good time. John Silver vs Bowen was good. Heel Dark Order >> Face Dark Order. Excited for Aussie Open match against FTR on 10/1. Excited as well for Andrade vs Jay White, next week. Glad to see The Righteous pick some main roster wins, they absolutely deserve it. Kris came out dominant defeating Britt in her home state in the main event, it definitely served its purpose."
[5.0] "I thought this was a really weak outing from AEW. The main event was the only good match on the entire show and surprisingly it featured Britt Baker who has not had many good matches lately. I attribute the match being good to Kris Statlander because she's a pro. The rest of the matches were run of the mill and super forgettable. The production botch during the Keith Lee promo was bush league and quite frankly embarrassing. Weather it was intentional or not, it was still really fucking stupid. Scorpio Sky is the most vanilla wrestler I've ever seen in AEW and the crowd was completely dead for his match with Andrade El Idolo. The Righteous should have stayed on ROH TV because boy oh boy they died on this show. If it weren't for the main event being a good match I'd have given this a 3, maybe even a 2. At least next weeks episode looks promising on paper with Danielson vs. Starks in a Texas Deathmatch."
[5.0] "An off night for collision to say the least, the positives first the opening tag match was a good fun heated match, and the main event delievered in a big way, they've really strapped the rocket to kris with back to back wins over AEW's most tippity top women, and that is a fantastic thing, the rest of this show holy fucking shit dude the RIGHTEOUS won a match fuck right off, just middling plodding whatever matches for the rest of the show, terrible stuff, zero heat no vibes no excitement, just a boring wcw thunder level show."
