[6.0] "The Trios, tag titles, and the main event carries this show. Most of everything else felt filler or just outright bad. Definitely one of the weaker AEW shows imo."

[10.0] "Looking back, this was a great PPV with three all timers on it. It gets bonus points though for the press conference and the aftermath and yes I know it nearly killed the company, but still, Brawl Out and the Media Scrum are still like Top 10 moments to be a wrestling fan and the literal definition of "you had to be there.""

[6.0] "The legacy of this show will always be "Brawl Out 2022", the hugely controversial and messy events that transpired after the show was over. But even putting that aside, this is one of the weaker AEW PPVs. There are two absolutely great matches well worth seeing. The first is Hangman and The Dark Order vs the Elite. This isn't the non-stop action fest of the Elite vs Death Triangle series(although there's plenty of that); its built more like a proper tag team match that slowly escalates. The way it used the history of these groups against each other is terrific, and especially early on with Hangman's reluctant attitude towards fighting his former group with Kenny Omega and the Bucks. Its one of those matches we all hoped would be great giving the talent involved and it was. The other great match nobody expected going in, with The Acclaimed vs Swerve in our Glory for the tag team titles. This is one of my absolute favorite tag team matches, a super pumped crowd pulling for the hot streak underdogs, turning on the popular face champions. Its one of those incredible matches with the crowd energy is so high, you kinda wished they called an audible and let the Acclaimed win. Besides those two and a strong but somewhat tainted main event clash between Mox and CM Punk that would immediately become non-canon hours later, there isn't too much to write home about here. Worse, there some bizarre booking decisions throughout. The whole Joker MJF thing screwed up the entertainment of the opening ladder match. There's not one but TWO squash matches that leave you scratching your head. Hobbs vs Starks should've been a good, but they gave them five mins to do a random TV match? Just some weird stuff, and between that, the mostly lackluster card and the post conference/fight afterwards, this feels like an event to forget, outside of two stellar MOTY contenders."

[5.0] "Some of the most buckwild booking Ive ever seen. Jade retaining the belt for no reasons, a ladder match with a non finish, a grudge match that lasts 5 minutes, a Jungle Boy squash match, what the hell happened here man lmao. Luckily a few great matches, two MOTY contenders in the Acclaimed/Swerve In Our Glory tag and the phenomenal main event."

[9.0] "It suffers from the same problems that AEW Double Or Nothing (2022) had with a very long runtime, an over stacked card, match length that's more over the place and a few weak matches like the casino ladder match, Jade Vs Athena, Starks Vs Hobbs and Cage Vs Perry and both the FTR and Wardlow Vs Lethal and MCM and Darby, Sting, Miro Vs HOB as decent as they are, were just there to have big names on the show, but both the AEW Women's World Title four way and Jericho Vs Danielson were pretty good and both Elite Vs Hangman and Dark Order to crown the inaugural AEW Trios Champions and Acclaimed Vs SIOG are really phenomenal. Overall just like AEW Double Or Nothing (2022), despite it's over stacked card and long runtime, AEW All Out (2022) is a fantastic show."

[7.0] "Casino Ladder Match: The action was really nice, as expected from this kind of match. Besides some really obvious botches, they were battling rice nice. The final joker in-ring act was really disappointing, even the crowd was silent with that moment. I suppose that´s an adequate grade, until I see how this develops in the weekly shows. [**]; AEW World Trios Title Tournament Final Match: Fantastic match, great interactions from both teams, and some close pins that I though several times the match was going to end. The Elite keeps being one of my favorite teams of all time. Great battle. [*****]; AEW TBS Title Match: Well, a really nonsense match. The referee doesn´t disquality Cargill when she gets grabbed by an external opponent, a lot of botches from Cargill as always, and a pretty pretty short match, what a sad debut for Athena. [ZERO STARS]; Jay Lethal & The Motor City Machine Guns vs. FTR & Wardlow: Another satisfactory match that maybe felt like a filler, in a show full of other important matches. Anyway, both teams looked good and Wardlow seems to be unstoppable. Joes return was nice to see. [***1/4]; Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks: Due do the limited time conceded to the match, this is not even an adequate encounter. Their interactions lacked during of all the match of any chemistry, specially due to Hobbs responsability. I mean, this was supposed to be at least a midcard feud with some importance for the development of the roster, but just looked like the classic squatch match of the monster wrestler vs the amateur. [*]; AEW World Tag Team Title Match: Maybe not too much into the battle, Caster and Bowens are too green yet to be champs. The match was nice enough, with a nice storytelling behind it, and some nice moves from the current champs. Maybe the in-person experiences excluded the emotion of enjoying the match watched by internet. Anyway, a satisfactory match. [***]; AEW Women's World Title Four Way Match: Very well deserved win for Toni Storm. She was really the best wrestler of the match. The battle was going okey, satisfactory at least, but then the final minute elevated the match to another level, it was great to see that these wrestlers can sell a good storytelling, despite their in-ring action needs to be improved. Good match, really nice action. [****]; Christian Cage vs. Jack Perry: This angle was interesting. It would have been nice to see their battle in normal conditions, but this adds some more hate over Cage, and a lot more of interest over this feud. [****]; Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho: The match was good enough to be increasing the intensity with every minute, all thanks to Danielson and his energy to get the best of his opponents. At half of the match knew to change the style of the battle, and to give another aura to the confrontation. Good match, nice to see this living legends have this kind of matches. [****]; Darby Allin, Miro & Sting vs. Brody King, Buddy Matthews & Malakai Black: Not bad to be the filler match of hte night. Good interacions among teams, maybe the inner connection between every one was no the best. This was clearly just a match built to wait until the main event. The task was achieved. [**1/2]; AEW World Title Match: It was not my type of match, but for sure was a war, as the main event was expected. The only reason this doesnt have an upper grade its their speed, the match felt tremendously slow, and I think that affected the emotion over this. Anyway, satisfactory enough to close the event. [***1/2]; Overall satisfactory event, a pair of good matches and the tremendous battle for the Trios title. The other battles felt sometimes like fillers. The event would have been so much better without so much in.ring action. [***1/2]"

[6.0] "One of AEW's weakest Pay-Per-Views ever! There are a few hits here but the majority of the show kinda sucked. The opening ladder match, the women's fatal four way, FTR & Wardlow vs. Lethal & MCMG, Miro with Sting & Allin vs. HOB and Danielson vs. Jericho are all skippable matches but nothing really worth watching. Lee & Strickland vs. The Acclaimed was really good despite being very overrated for me. The Elite vs. Dark Order was the best match of the night and it was one of the best trios match ever and one of the best AEW's match ever. Jade Cargill vs. Athena was bad and short while Hobbs vs. Starks and Perry vs. Christian are biggest dissapointments of the night: two very good feuds being destroyed by two bad matches with Perry vs. Christian not even being an actual match. Moxley vs. Punk was a great way to close the show and MJF's return at the end was awesome. It's a shame it led to nowhere because we know what. Overall: the show was too long and most of the matches were boring but I can't ignore that fantastic trios match and the great main event. I will not talk about what happend after the Pay-Per-View in the media scrum because it's not part of the show."

Beyond the controversy this show will never be able to shed from itself, this was just a muddled, overlong, plodding affair. Cut like 4 or 5 of these meaningless matches and it might've been special."

[7.0] "7 but could be an 8 as well. I'll skip over what happened at the media scrum afterwards. Casino Ladder match had a few good spots but had too many tag teams in a solo match and was short however it did hype me up for the rest of the event. Cargill vs Athena, Hobbs vs Starks and Cage vs Jungle boy were all squash matches which really only one should've been (Cage vs Boy). The trios championship match is really good and quite underrated, the other 6 man tags between HoB and Sting/Darby/Miro and FTRlow and MCMG/Lethal is alright which despite sowing the seeds we haven't seem FTR vs MCMG (the bit with Dax's daughter was nice though). Danielson vs Jericho felt a bit underwhelming but did its job in the story even if it should've ended at Blood and Guts. Woman's match was good but could've gone longer with Hayter winning by pinning Baker, but she won at Faull Gear so no issue now. Acclaimed the SioG was insane and my favourite non FTR tag match of 2022 and MOTN which nearly had me screaming at my TV for the Acclaimed to win and even thinking Bowens was legit injured, I just wished they called an audible. Main Event did what it was meant to do with Punk winning giving Moxley his first clean singles loss in AEW and was overall a great match but just didn't kick into a higher gear. MJFs return was handled great and even got a pop in Chicago. Good show overall despite being the worst AEW ppv of 2022 and setting up a crazy change of events that shifted AEW to this day."

[5.0] "There's some good stuff here and there, but this show suffers from the same problem other AEW ppvs have- it's way too long. By the time we get to the main event it's nap time and the crowd loses a lot of energy. The Casino match was bullshit, the Trios match I didn't pay much attention to because I hate them, the six man tag was very underwhelming especially considering who was in it- they should have split this into two matches, Hobbs/Starks went over like a lead balloon, somehow managing to bury Starks without getting Hobbs over, they should have called an audible and given the Acclaimed the win, and the Danielson match was too slow and too long. The Sting match was actually pretty fun, and the championship match was good despite Punk injuring himself again (no one over 40 should be doing dives). Women's 4-way was pretty solid too; it was nice to see Toni secure the belt. Honestly 5 might be generous; I'm not even considering what happened directly after this show. I wouldn't rewatch this and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's a day in wrestling history that should probably be forgotten."

The final of the Trios tournament was excellent, Swerve in Our Glory vs Acclaimed was a great surprise and the main event was full of intensity. The other two six man tag team matches were enjoyable, the Women's Fatal 4 Way was nothing special but good, Danielson vs Jericho a bit too long but still good and the ladder match had a good surprise at the end (the match was enjoyable but given the participants it could have been much better)"

Whole thing went a bit too long for me, IMO. MJF return was a big highlight and the tag matches were fun, and the main event was solid. But not much else worth rewatching. And Danielson deserves a lot better"

Some very good matches (Acclaimed vs SioG, Elite vs Dark Order, Danielson vs Jericho), average matches (HoB vs Sting/Darby/Miro, Moxley vs Punk) and bad matches (Hobbs vs Starks, the opener, Cage vs Perry). So.. average show, I guess"

[7.0] "The overall show was solid as a package, but breaking down match by match, it had a visible crest-and-trough pattern which is tough to follow for the fans attending live & at home. The card had certified stunners in Hangman's DO/Elite, SIOG/Acclaimed & Bryan/Jericho. The remainder was very good but could've been better such as Starks/Hobbs, Women's four way and so on. Time management is pivotal for AEW & they have to solve it ASAP. The grandeur return of MJF was done exceptionally and I'm stoked for his ultimate gameplay probably ending with a World Championship win. The media scrum obviously toppled the promotion's status and I hope they could survive from the mess sooner. Solid edition but not as magnificent as last year thereby breaking the streak of red hot PPVs since last year's return to full crowd capacity."

Like an extended episode of Dynamite in some aspects. Didn't feel like a big blow-off PPV. Jungle Boy/Christian and Starks/Hobbs, two of the most personal feuds on the show, getting a combined five minutes is just criminal."

[5.0] "I think this show is a clear indicator of what is wrong with AEW right now. Although all matches vary in quality from okay to really good, they have a lot of internal problems that you have to ignore to enjoy the show. Somewhere there is terrible booking, somewhere there is an immeasurable ego of individual wrestlers, somewhere no feud is accompanied by a great match that looks out of place due to its position in the narrative, and somewhere there is a good story, with completely wrong outcome. But the worst thing for me is that most of the matches don't feel like they should be on PPV. In the main event of the weekly show - sure, maybe part of the special weekly show - of course! But not at one of the promotion's most important paid ones. I think it's very significant that the behind-the-scenes scandals are much more interesting here than wrestling itself..."

Only good matches were, TT champ. (Acclaimed could've win to boost the mood in the hall), Jericho v Danielson (WWE Lite), TT trios, and pre-show Kingston v Ishii. Rest either mediocre or avoidable."

[7.0] "A show of highs and lows. I feel that the main event, tag match and trios tournament finals all elevate it enough to recommend a watch, but there is far too much on this PPV card that would have been better served on TV. It's the second PPV this year that will ultimately be overshadowed by things that occurred behind the scenes, and that is immensely aggravating as a fan of the promotion. There is stuff to like here but the night as a whole is also a bright, glaring, gigantic neon sign that something needs to change. AEW set a precedent last year and early this year of how well a wrestling PPV should and could be done. I'd like to hope that they'll return to meeting that standard sometime soon."

Nothing insulted my intelligence (which might say more about my intelligence than the booking, but alas) and I had a fun time watching the show. At several points I was heavily invested (like the crowd), while at other times I was a bit sleepy or looking for snacks (like the crowd... ) -- four hours is just too much time. I know the roster is stacked and there was not even enough time to feature everyone that deserves to be feature appropriately, but still: four hours is too much."

[7.0] "Time, the main claim to the show. There are too many matches that can be safely sent to Rampage, which just suffered from a small number of top matches. And here they looked superfluous. Of course, there were a lot of super cool matches, again the Elite showed a legendary match, and Acclaimed began to feel more stellar. But the average score for matches on the same site is modest. The show turned out to be a springboard for something more in the future. All Out is more of a second-position show, this time. 90% of matches hint at continuation and in general, only a few have experienced personal growth. After such a show, it's easy to continue making cool weeklies. Of the advantages, I will highlight the fact that the company made a show on its own, without debuts. MJF came back and it was great, from his mysterious appearance in a mask, to the merged calls with Tony Khan. Deep down in my heart, I expected it to turn out that way, it's impossible to make a good show when you have 13+ matches. It doesn't need a wrestling show. Overfed the viewer and only business suffers from this. This needs to be fixed immediately."

Casino Ladder Match wasn't the worst (well, the stipulation makes no sense when you can win before every wrestler will came to ring, but let's not talk about it). Nice suprize with the Joker. Jade Cargill vs Anthena shouldn't be in this card just like Powerhouse hobs vs Ricky Starks. FTR & Wardlow vs Jay Lethal & MCMG wasn't the greatest. I expected something more interesting from these guys. Christian Cage vs Jungle Boy was great. I'm happy for Luchasaurus heel turn and I can't wait to see what happens next. Jericho vs Danielson was good and the main event CM Punk vs Jon Moxley was great. And I'm happy for MJF return. I was having a lot of fun watching this pay per view. 8/10. Some questionable booking choices : Jade winning again, Jericho winning and Starks/ Hobbs being too short. Some great booking choices : Jungle Boy vs Christian, with the injury of Christian I thought it was good to turn it into an angle instead of cancelling the match. A lot of these matches just missed and probably could have been taken off the show and made it better because the crowd and viewers would not be so tired after such a long show. 5 hours is a long time without any considerable breaks. The trios match, tag title match, and heavyweight title match are the best on the show and you could probably watch those and skip everything else. The worst part of the show was the continue use of squash matches to build up Jade and devalue the TBS title, and the trios match between House of Black and Darby, Sting, and Miro was just incredibly boring and a huge let down. ***1/4"

[7.0] "Despite the shakey, chaotic build, this show was solid. Probably the worst PPV show AEW has done since All Out 2 years ago, but not a bad show like All Out 2020. A good third of this show didn't feel like a PPV calibre event. Jade vs Athena should have been on the pre-show, the FTR trios match should have been on Rampage, Hobbs vs Starks could have been on Dynamite since they weren't doing their blow off here. The Good: Punk and Moxley had a really good main event that was capped off by MJF returning which is a huge W for AEW, Max is the future, and his new stable opens up a lot of opportunities. The Trios and Tag title matches were both EXCELLENT, and probably the 2 best matches I've seen on AEW programming since their last PPV and maybe even further back. Luchasaurus cementing himself as a monster heel and Christian's new Tomko ruled, Christian is reportedly injured, so the way this match played out was a great way to keep this thing hot. The Middling: Women's 4 Way was mid, this division needs more shine. I think MJF returning to suck the life out of the ladder match is great heat, but that match should have been allowed to do more before he came in, it started really slowly and only picked up when Penta came in. The bad: Danielson had the worst match I've seen him have in years, maybe the worst since he came back from retirement, Jericho already used up his quarterly good match against Mox and did not show up here at all. FTR and Wardlow vs Lethal and MCMG was a snoozefest, show was REALLY LONG and didn't feel like it did enough to justify it."

The good: Trios Tag Championship was surprisingly good Punk vs Moxley was great as expected with the nice MJF vs Punk set up which will get people curious about Dynamite Tag Team Championship: I was not expecting the Acclaimed and Swerve in our Glory to pull off such a good match Danielson vs Jericho: they put on a great wrestling match though I'm sure that a lot of people were mad about Danielson losing thus the low score The meh FTR and Wardlow vs Lethal, Shelley, & Sabin: very underwhelming especially after FTR last 2 PPVs Casino Ladder Match: felt just like any other one of these types of matches though the commitment to the big MJF reveal was fun House of Black vs Sting, Darby, and Miro: kind of a let down Jungleboy vs Christian: very confusing first Luchasaur is a heel, then face, now heel again depending on where they go really will affect my thoughts for this Athena vs Jade: Really should have gave the belt to Athena as her reign is getting dull and we need to evolve her character that can only happen from a loss Women's interim Championship: was what you would expect it was fine for what it was Ricky Starks vs Powerhouse Hobbs: was what you would expect Powerhouse defeating Starks hopefully we will get what we need Powerhouse/Wardlow feud for the TNT title Overall there wasn't any matches I didn't like, just some disappointment with some of the decisions."

I will leave that for the people on the internet and at WhatCulture who surely are smarter than the rest of us. The Trios match; tag team title match; Jericho v Danielson, and main event were all among the best matches in America for 2022. Not a clunker among the matches. People routinely hang out around a TV for five plus house every Saturday and Sunday for College and Pro football."

It is evident Tony Khan is the ultimate Punk fanboy and everything else is secondary. This is great for NJPW & WWE - because AEW has lost its polish and its spirit and is retreading so many failed WCW, TNA, WWE cheap heat angles. the Casino Ladder Match was exactly the same as the First WWE Women's MITB Ladder Match - insulting to the 6 men doing dangerous spots - Im exhausted with all this backstage insider Russo esque shoot works, worked shoot nonsense, get ROH off my TV, simplify the programming to good matches with coherent stories that make sense, and for god sake listen to your audience - Jaime hayer, The Acclaimed, Silver & Reynolds are OVER... start promoting them - Lastly the CM Punk signing will be a massive failure to AEW the company not Tony Khan the fanboy - AEW is doing worse overall ratings and they can claim their demo number but their demo number is down 10-15 basis points - Tony can fanboy all he wants but since Punk showed up, backstage is fractured, the PPVs have gotten worse from a quality standpoint and the guy is simply bad in ring."

It's their worst PPV since COVID-era AEW thanks to confusing booking, a bloated card, and a terrible crowd (although it's hard to blame them considering many fan favourites lost early tonight). However, the main event, trios title, and tag team title matches were fantastic. The post-match angle was also great in my opinion and has me excited for dynamite, so I suppose it did its job."

The biggest thing sadly going out of the PPV though, was CM Punk's toxic rant afterwards during the media scrum, not only publicly calling out Hangman Page again, but this time going after Colt Cabana, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. This all led to an altercation mere moments afterwards, requiring security from the media scrum to leave their post to break it up. In my opinion, Jon Moxley should have retained the AEW World title, because as your World Champion, you have to represent as well as be the image of the company. Punk has used this as a chance to take his personally issues public, making a mockery of the company that welcomed him back to the world of professional wrestling in open arms. Jon Moxley represents All Elite Wrestling, CM Punk represents a toxic workplace environment."

The rest of the matches were mostly all fine but the crowd wasn't really into most of them. The Christian match was more of an angle than a match glad to see that Lucharsaus is back with him. The most disappointing match of the night was Starks/Hobbs which could've been great but all we got was a glorified squash. Hayter should've won but the Storm isn't a bad choice for a winner, Jade/Athena was a usually Jade match. Overall a good show even though it dragged at times and had a dead crowd for some matches."
