[7.0] "A good episode of NXT. Pretty Deadly are always entertaining, so as hosts, the show felt fun from the beginning. Nathan Frazer vs. Grayson Waller held my attention the most, apart from the opener. Carmelo Hayes has proven he's ready to move up to Raw."
[4.0] "Some pretty good stuff in here, broken up by some significantly less good stuff. I've seen Joe Gacy do some really far out things in other promotions, so unsure who to blame for his bummer NXT run. A match w/ Cora Jade, Lash Legend & Nikita Lyons, it's not gon be great."
[8.0] "I would rate this more of a 7.5. Pros: Opening two matches were great, I liked most of the pre-taped segments and I'm excited to see what's next for most of the storylines. Creeds vs Vikings was a damn good hoss match. Cons: Main Event was lackluster compared to the rest of the show, while Persia and Dexter's releases were somewhat addressed, Malcolm Bivens' was not. Also the Women's tag was not that great."
[8.0] "The opening match is one of the best matches I've seen on the 2.0 Era of NXT as all three were exceptional in the ring with Sikoa bringing the breakout performance since his arrival. Grimes retaining cemented him as a solid champion and I won't mind another showdown between Grimes and Sikoa & Hayes moving to the top ranks. Frazer arrived in style and captivated the crowd in a fantastic debut match against the heat magnet sensation in Waller. The finish might play a role in furthering the rivalry and I'm in for it. Santos & Tony had a very intriguing segment that piqued interest now unlike the initial stage. The women's tag was decent but unspectacular as Lash dragged things down with her inexperience. But it had a benefitting result for Lyons & Jade. Creeds vs. Raiders was a strong collision course with a finish playing the story of Diamond Mine's rift very well. The main event left a lot to be desired as the action was decent at best with uninteresting storytelling. It's the worst title match from Breakker so far. This special show started strong with a really good layout of matches and segments that were short and good to watch but the uninteresting main event dragged things down to the level of an "above average" grade."
[7.0] "Wrestling heavy episodes are always the better 2.0 shows. Pros: The Opening Three Way and Waller/Frazer were both really fun. Creeds/Raiders was a notch below but still pretty good. The Tony/Santos segment was nice, not great but I was entertained by it. Cons: The rest of the backstage segments and pretapes were either skippable or comedic flops, The Womens tag and The Main Event while not bad were both underwhelming Overall: Not the best out of the 2.0 specials but still a pretty good night"
[7.0] "I was satisfied. I really like the story of the confrontation between the Mexican Mafia and the Italian Mafia, while it is really interesting and intriguing. Nathan Frazer started his journey extremely well, now the main thing is to consolidate it. Cameron Grimes continues to fly to the moon... Solo Sikoa became popular with fans, interesting and unexpected for me. The Diamond Mine and their relationship are nearing either disintegration or strengthening, we are waiting for the denouement of the story. Bron Breakker can't get out of this plot in any way, even after the victory, it's unknown who was standing behind him, this story needs to be finished or it will be too late. Bron has to save himself from this cringe. In general, a good show that cheered me up to watch the following episodes."
[5.0] "The opening match was excelent and the main event was a total let down, everything in the middle was fine, Nathan Frazer had a good debut match with a bit of comedy and every segment about Toxic Attraction and Tony D/Santos Escobar was not for me, I didn't like it. So overall this show had its ups and downs."
[7.0] "One of the strongest episodes of 2.0 and snaps a streak of pretty bad ones. The first hour started super hot with the excellent North American Title triple threat, kept the momentum going with an exciting fast-paced high flying bout between the debuting Nathan Frazer and Grayson Waller, and ended with a fairly entertaining sit-down between the two crime bosses in NXT. The show kinda stumbled into the second hour with Natalya and Legend vs Jade and Lyons - but the crowd was invested and some of the work was solid. Viking Raiders vs Creed Brothers was a big ol hoss fight and was a treat to see - despite the pisspoor treatment the Vikings have had on the main roster it's still a big deal for the Creeds to beat them. Even with Roddy's unwanted help - good angle advancement there. Main event wasn't very good and ended the show on a sour note - especially with the stupid druid cliffhanger that they'd just end up showing on social media after. The only other bad part of the show were the Toxic Attraction segments with Wendy and Roxanne - super cringy and cartoonish. Also way too similar to when Cora Jade pulled pranks on TA not too long ago."
[8.0] "The NXT TV specials continue to deliver quite good. Opener match was excellent, by the end the chaos was awesome to watch and the three participants looked as top stars for the show [****1/2]. Nathan Frazer's debut was interesting since it developed in a really good match that went for a little bit more than ten minutes, usually debuts on NXT are kept in short matches but here they allowed Frazer to show his ring skills and by the end he got pretty over with the crowd (Waller did well too as a heel for the ocassion) [***1/2]. Women's tag match was decent, nothing terrible considering three of the four participants are still low experienced; I see some potential in Nikkita tho [**1/2]. Creeds vs Vikings was fine, kinda slow for moments but still decent-to-good I'd say, although the most interesting thing happened after the match when tension between the Creeds and Strong was shown [***1/4]. The main event was... decent at most, maybe the worst title defense for Bron up to this point but far from terrible, although I never bought Gacy as a real threat for Breakker and even the crowd wasn't all that into this match by the end (and the finish with the Spear was kinda anticlimactic) but looks like they'll have a rematch so maybe they could have a better match [***]. Aside from the matches, some of the most notable backstage segments saw D'Angelo and Legado's confrontation (not something amazing but I want to see where does it goes, maybe a face turn for Santos which would be great imo), Wendy Choo messing with Toxic Attraction (it's a transitional feud that it's not really interesting to say the least), more participants for the Women's Breakout tournament, and the return of Kay Lee Ray, now as Alba Fyre, next week in which looks like they (thankfully) haven't entirely changed her character. So yeah, no terrible matches or squashes this week, they showed what they advertised, and just a couple of uninteresting/bad segments that didn't hurt the show at all. Hopefully next weeks get better, just like this."
[6.0] "This special episode of NXT had one major positive in my book that other specials thus far have not: focusing exclusively on what was advertised, and not trying to sprinkle lame squashes in between the important stuff. The opener was a great triple threat match. Sikoa seems primed for a main roster call up within the next few months, so him taking the fall was logical. Indi Hartwell and Duke Hudson continuing their storyline despite half of it suddenly being released from WWE, is dumb. Especially because they can't acknowledge it. Frazer and Waller had a really good match. I was worried Frazer would lose in his debut so I was pleasantly surprised when he won. The women's tag match was better than I expected, but with 3 pretty inexperienced women in there, it couldn't have been much better than it ended up being. Creeds VS Raiders was okay too. Not a fan of Diamond Mine likely splitting up, I thought they were really good together. But if reports of Roddy asking for his release are true, I suspect he will put the Creeds over somehow before heading out. The main event was... well, not good. It was really slow, and Gacy just isn't that good in the ring. This feud seems poised to continue unfortunately, if the post match is any indication. Hopefully it's done though, and I can come back to actively watching the product again."
