[7.0] "This was my first bloodsport event. I really enjoyed it. The Moxley fight was great of course but I think my favorite fight on the show was the Ninja Mack fight. I definitely recommend this show."
[6.0] "GCW Josh Barnett's Bloodsport 8 and it was a really unusual experience, I've never watched such shows before and I have an ambiguous reaction to it. I mastered the whole show in three days, I took breaks and returned to it again. I definitely didn't like most of the matches and I won't say that it was something memorable. The overall picture was saved by the matches. Jon Moxley, Biff Busick, JR Kratos, Timothy Thatcher and the main match of the show. As a result, out of 11 matches, I liked only three. Well, I'll say it's pretty bad. To make the show shorter and reduce the number of matches to 6-7 and it will be quite a watchable show, and it's so hard to watch such a style of wrestling for so long. And we didn't see anything frankly new, originality is not about this genre of the show."
[7.0] "This was my first bloodsport event, and I enjoyed it a lot, it's super refreshing to see this type of matches. Must-see matches: Busick vs. Moxley / Uemura vs. Bailey"
[4.0] "Most of the matches bored me. The good matches of the show (the more brawl oriented ones) unfortunately have frustrating finishes or are a bit too short to be more impactful."
[8.0] "Bloodsport was a show that did take a while to get going, but once it did, it was great. If you haven't watched Moxley vs Biff yet, stop reading and go watch, because it was a banger of a match, and may well be the best match of Mania weekend."
[8.0] "Bloodsport is such a different beast that it's almost difficult to adjust oneself to the urgency of the matches. Brings classic New Japan vibes (the way it was before they adapted the more AJPW/NWA style of today). The crowd was hyped, packing the arena. After a rather careful start, where the highlight was Ninja Mack unmasking before his fight, the show got real good half-way through with a Timothy Thatcher on fire returning to the ring for the first time in 7 month after being dropped by WWE against big muscular JR Kratos, who got a complete cold shoulder from this crowd. Regardless of your opinion on Kratos or the result, Thatcher alone made this match a quality one [***]. Yuya Uemura vs Mike Bailey was down-right solid and I wish they'd gone a few more minutes [** 3/4]. Josh Barnett fighting JONAH certainly had its moments [** 1/2]. But where the show blew-up was with Jon Moxley/Biff Busick! By this point the urgency had sunk in and every blow, every hold and all the bloody & sweat counted, generating an increased feeling of war. It truly became bloodsport. I only wish, like with all the matches, that it had been longer [*** 3/4]. The main event saw Chris Dickinson return from 3 1/2 month out with injury with a grueling battle with murder grand dad Minoru Suzuki! The end came a little abruptly, but this was all the fun and violence as you'd hope and expect from those two! [*** 1/4]"
[6.0] "This was a show with definite high points and low points. Except for one or two of the worst matches, everything was at least decently fun to watch and the highlights were some really great matches. This would be a great show to pick & choose."
[8.0] "The major highlight on this show was Biff Busick vs. Jon Moxley, which is now my favourite Bloodsport bout, overhauling Moxley/Josh Barnett from last year in Tampa, but it had some good support in Thatcher/Kratos, Uemura/Speedball and Dickinson/MiSu. Your Mania week of shows isn't complete without watching Bloodsport."
