[8.0] "MOTN was without a shadow of a doubt the main event closely followed by the semi-main event. The opener was good enough for what it set out to accomplish and Kenta/GoK despite its numerous shortcomings was enjoyable too whilst at the same time providing a valuable lesson in Japanese culture. (DOGEZA). Yano/Bushi was average but not disappointing and Loa/Takahashi did better than I had expected from them so that definitely accounts for something. Ibushi cut a very enticing promo to end a good show. 8 it is."
[7.0] "Fun show! Final two matches and the young lion match were highlights. [Kanemaru vs Fujita] - 3 ¼ stars. [BUSHI vs Yano] - 2 ¾ stars. [G-O-K vs KENTA] - 2 ¾ stars. [Tanga Load vs Yujiro] - 2 ½ stars (Worst of the Night). [Ishii vs ZSJ] - 4 ½ stars (Match of the Night). [Shingo vs Ibushi] - 4 ¼ stars. Average match rating: 3.33 of 5 stars (or 6.66 of 10). Rounded to 7 for Cagematch."

[6.0] "The G1 Climax shows has been pretty much the same thing but with different matches. Not a lot to say today, it was a satisfactory show and that is all."
[8.0] "While the rest of the card wasn't anything to write home about, the final two matches were excellent and well worth going out of your way to see. Glad that it seems Ibushi is back in form after his illness earlier this year, and Takagi was great too. ZSJ v Ishii was a terrific clash of styles. The matches were definitely placed in the right order, and this felt much more like a G1 quality show compared to the previous night."
[8.0] "- KENTA vs O-Khan 6/10: they didn't do bad but I feel like it was overly long, a common theme in this G1 sadly. - Tanga Loa vs Yujiro 6/10: not bad at all, it was kept simple and Yujiro actually brought some fire including a suicide dive. - Ishii vs ZSJ 8.5/10: they went at it big time, one of the best matches so far and a classic power vs tekkers war. Zack did some great work on Ishii's arm but this was one of these matches in which Tomo just doesn't wanna lose and it's only fair that he's the first to beat Zack in this G1. - Ibushi vs Takagi 8.5/10: a huge war that we should've seen at the Tokyo Dome but better late than never. They played to their strength with wild shots and strikes and it was a battle of resilience and power with Ibushi having the upper hand in the hand, another great story for Takagi's future. - event 8/10: the last 2 matches alone make this day noteworthy."
[8.0] "Two great matches in their own way at the end, KENTA and Great O-Khan being the best versions of themselves trying to give story and purpose to their battle, even Fujita being the better opponent to Kanemaru this day. A big breath of fresh air after the previous boring show."
[7.0] "Another 'good' G1 show with a very short 'expiration date' last two matches were really good, everything else was skippable (which is kinda unfair to Loa vs. Yujiro because it was a nice little match, and both wrestlers worked hard, but nothing memorable or special happened there)"
[7.0] "Another good G1 day, the main event and semi final are both worth finding and watching. A Block now has several people at 8 points and several people at 6 points. Super close block that will come down to the wire."
