Other than that , I loved Finlay vs. Ospreay and I hope this match in particular elevates the career of Finlay because he definitely showed his hidden potential . Shingo/Evil was a mediocre match but the right person won , fortunately. A 7 for this night and I loved the set up and arena . Looked attractive and awesome . I also have to appreciate how Okada, Ibushi and Tanahashi made the crowd feel relaxed after that unfortunate and dangerous earth quake . Who knew the earth would not be able to control the star power and magnificence of Okada, Ibushi and Tanahashi in the same ring . Jay made the most of his opportunity as well by his heelish ways . Heel work at its finest."

[6.0] "Finlay vs Ospreay was pretty good. Shingo vs Evil was what you'd expect. A real-life mid-card earthquake interrupted this card, which isn't something you see every day. Hopefully everyone was okay."

[7.0] "Very good show. One of the best ones from this whole New Japan Cup 2021 tour. Not only the last two matches were spectacular, but also an earthquake that struck the whole building during Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada, Kota Ibushi vs Jay White, KENTA, Yujiro Takahashi. The Match of The Night was Will O'Spreay vs David Finlay."

[7.0] "I don't really know what to say about this show except for bravo to New Japan for bouncing back from a terrifying situation mid-show to give the fans some exciting action. Both NJ Cup matches hit well, but the clear match of the night was Finlay/Ospreay."
