[7.0] "Fairly entertaining show, if a bit too long and with too many inconsequential matches. The IWGP Tag Team Title match was the highlight of the show, with superb wrestling and very interesting and exciting finnish, even if the storyline was a little bit out there. The main event was solid, but kinda dissapointing. The buildup for this match was so well done, and the match itself was kind of underwhelming. It went on too long and was a bit repetitive. I think SANADA & Naito vs Ibushi & Honma was probably the weakest match of the card, with not too much going on in ring, and was made worse by the fact that Ibushi is supposed to face SANADA in a big singles main event match the very next day. Overall, good show, but at times it felt like a really long "road to" show."

The main event is a bit disappointing. One night complicated and quite disappointing in the end."

[6.0] "It was fine, but there are some key decisions that I just can't agree on. Wato's defeat will definitely not help him getting over with the crowd, big problem with returning to a serious tone after a comedy segment in tag team title match, the lack of story damaged the main event, which lasted an unreasonably long and felt nothing but disappointing, and so on and so forth. Why do they need to turn down SHO so bad? I mean, considering that it was just a build up for Phantasmo and Bullet Club feud, could they maybe end up in a draw or by DQ for example? This match was not a so important anyway, and this would be a great base for a long-term feud Hiromu/SHO for some big show."

[7.0] "New Beginning In Hiroshima Night 1 was a good show. Not a bad match on the card and a lot of story/character development. It wasn't as good as New Beginning In Nagoya, but this was still a good show. It did a good job hyping up tomorrow's show, while also setting up more Castle Attack feuds and developing feuds already set. NJPW has been on a roll this year and I am excited."
