31.12.2020 | hassan01 | 6.0 | This was not a good show . The opener was fire , not everybody's cup of tea but I think I am fortunate enough to love every style of wrestling except for too much of the comedy BS. The main event was great too . Everything else was average and not impressive at all. Abadon/Shida confrontation was good to see. The 6 man tag was very ow quality and FTR/Varsity Blondes was below average. Dustin/10 was an ok squash and Abadon/Tesha served its purpose. The women's division is still a disaster with them booking a 8 man tag in the next few weeks most probably with all those backstage brawls 2 weeks back to back. Jade Cargill being forced into the women's division is not what I am a fan of . PAC mysteriously disappearing and Eddie Kingston starting a rivalry with Lance Archer all of a sudden with no explanation of the whereabouts of PAC is poor booking . Sting making his intentions clear in AEW to managing Darby was good and Kenny's official heel turn was good to see as well. From a wrestling view point this show did not do much . 6 for me.

19.12.2020 | GoatKada | 7.0 | The opener was a fun match, but as far as the actual wrestling on this show goes, it was largely average. The segments, however, were very good in my eyes with the Sting promo teasing matches I would be interested in and the Kenny one being a great introduction to his new persona, although the promo he cut was almost an exact replica of the one he cut the night before.

15.12.2020 | Kuroashi23 | 7.0 | Except the main event, this was a transition episode, which is good, but AEW should have taken more advantage from the momentum created by the previous episode. The majority of segments were good, such as Kenny's promo (although it was a sort of replay of the one made at Impact) and Inner Circle segment, but they were way too much and have cut away time from the matches. I have no interest at all regarding Brandi's storyline, neither I understand why there always should be a new Brandi's storyline. Regarding the matches, the opener and the main event were really good, but the six man tag was pretty disappointing and two squash matches are too many for Dynamite.

15.12.2020 | Amico Leonard | 6.0 | Good Show but not epic as the one we saw last week and in my opinion It did not add nothing as a storyline evolution point of view in regards of what "Winter is coming" has left behind. Sting promo has been good but nothing special in which he made us undestand his intentions to manage Darby Allin or however being a "mentor" for him and the parallelism between the two of them are obvious, desired and were wanted from months because Cody on the commentary table at an AEW Dynamite back in March compared Darby to the Stinger for his enigmatic behavior. I loved the Sting quote "With Sting the only thing sure is that there is nothing sure at all" reminding about the Final Monday Nitro ever on TNT where Sting pronounced that words back on March 26th 2001 to end his carrear on TNT to this days. We will see what is in stock in the future and how they will use Sting and how much they will use him (a match with Cody is impossible in my opinion). Kenny Omega's promo has been nothing special in my opinion. I am happy to see the return of the Cleaner but this promo does not add anithing than what we saw on Impact the night before and I personally can't fix out whose gonna challenge Omega in the near future (Mox for sure will have another titleshot, but I think that they will leave it for Revolution in February and while in Omega needs to have another challenger as "bridge" into the rematch with Moxley). A storyline that does not interest me much is the one about the Inner Circle's implosion, but the match between Cassady and MJF has been good and I really think that the only one that can have the Diamond Ring is MJF himself; also I am happy to see a feud between Mirro and Cassady and the Best Friends and I hope that they will use well Rusev / Mirro along side with Kip Sabian. As a Wrestling Point of View we have a good opener between Young Bucks and TH2 that in my opinion was the best match of the night and a good match between Archer, Fenix ? and Pentagon against Kingston and Fam to develop the story around Kingston and all the intrigue he has done with the Lucha Bros. Rating: 6+

13.12.2020 | MaveDeltzer | 6.0 | I liked this more than the Winter is Coming episode. Maybe the lack of hype helped. There wasn't really a whole lot to go on wrestling-wise in this one but I thought the opener was pretty decent and the main event was mostly quite good. There were a few throwaway matches with Abadon and Dustin vs Ten, the latter of which seemed like it was cut short, possibly due to an injury. Was Dustin limping a little after? Might be in my head, but he "bit" Ten in the corner, talking to him, then the next thing you know he hits a bulldog and it actually ends the match. Something happened there. The Shaq stuff seems like a waste of time, Sting kind of destroyed his mystique a little, half the card was made up of squashes, I don't know where these promos could go, and the main event ending was a dud, but I think it went along at a good pace and I didnt feel myself tuning out as I sometimes do watching Dynamite.

The next tag match was good. The only rare match was the 6 man tag team match, I didn't like it, the main event was funny and I think the winner was the right one. The AEW's ring makes MJF looks great. |
10.12.2020 | Damian | 5.0 | Eh. Matches were mostly bad. The Sting/Shaq/Inner Circle segments were all atrocious, pointless and did nothing. Kenny Omega is finally presented as a star and I love it. Main event was the only decent match but had a fuckton of interference.
10.12.2020 | Mizzle Assault Ant | 4.0 | Generally I have really enjoyed Dynamite over the past year, but this one fell kind of flat for me. The Sting promo was... odd. No real substance to it except to maybe plant a seed between Sting and Cody, but I can't imagine a match between them being any good. The Shaq stuff does nothing for me. Dark Order trying to suddenly recruit Dustin, what? Just for the sake of an obscure WCW joke that most didn't get? Very strange. And I know some people love it, but the Omega promo was just baffling to me. I don't really understand why we're supposed to be disgusted by his actions and his promo style doesn't appeal to me. I miss Moxley. Best parts of the show for me were the Inner Circle segment and the main event, which I thought was great.

I made sure all my casual/lapsed fan friends watched this week and am worried they will be sorta "meh" given this. The Sting interview wasn't much of anything. He feels almost like a figurehead character, the whole thing felt very "comic con meet and greet" for lack of a better term. The Shaq stuff was solid and hopefully the cross over with NBA on TNT can juice ratings, as the it has a bit in the past. |

10.12.2020 | Colt Iken | 8.0 | An overall good show but compared to the last few weeks this show was lacking. The show started off hot with the Bucks vs. TH2; fantastic match with a typically strong performance from the Bucks and great, GREAT work from Angelico and Evans. These two teams had a hell of a match in PWG years ago and I think this was, at worst, only a notch below; absolutely great stuff. The Sting/Cody Rhodes segment was strong too, but after that the show cooled off significantly. FTR vs. the Varsity Blondes was well worked, but nothing at all of consequence. The Dustin Rhodes-10 match was completely and utterly unnecessary; they had no time to work with, even with piped in noise the crowd was dead and nothing of importance occurred at all. This was a case where the match should've been scrapped and the post match angle between Dustin and the Dark Order should've just been the segment. I was pleasantly surprised with the Shaq segment; he was fine and Brandi, as per usual, was very strong. The Inner Circle segment was very well done, great promos by Guevara, MJF, Jericho and especially Ortiz. The Lucha Brothers/Lance Archer vs. Eddie Kingston/Butcher/Blade match was trending towards good, but Penta being taken out early hurt and the ending felt abrupt. The women's angle backstage was really, REALLY quick but it at least sets up some interesting possibilities between Ivelisse and Serena Deeb. The Abadon squash was exactly what it needed to be and the post match was great, making sure to keep Abadon imposing while also establishing that Shida, while scared, isn't backing down. The Omega/Callis segment, much like on Impact, was a winner; Callis is so great in this role and Omega, as a promo, seems to be having the time of his life. Finally the main event of the show was great; tremendous work from Orange Cassidy, MJF stepped up big, the Inner Circle/Best Friends, Top Flight, Varsity Blondes and Brandon Cutler brawl at ringside was good and my goodness did they make Miro look great for a second straight week. All in all the show had a great opener, a great finish, several great promos, but not enough in the middle to put this on the level of the last few Dynamites.
10.12.2020 | Okaro143 | 6.0 | Easily one of the weaker Dynamite shows. The opening match was good as was the second match on the card but everything slowly went downhill from there and even the main event which I have been looking forward to was disappointing. I get that MJF is a future star but Cassidy needed the win. This whole angle between the Best Friends and Miro&Sapian is also getting boring. Also I would love to see Best Friends actively compete again.
10.12.2020 | kerillmc | 8.0 | Great matches on both ends and entertaining throughout. Omega feels big. Sting's speech was a bit off though IMO, I don't know him so I pictured him as a serious silent guy, and first thing he did was hug Tony. Probably a nice moment for older fans but felt weird to me. Still great show once again.
10.12.2020 | BUIOOMEGA | 8.0 | Nice matches and great stuff in Sting and Omega. Shaq was a bit random and uninteresting at the moment since the attention in all on Brandi.
10.12.2020 | burner23 | 9.0 | I had a lot of fun, from start to finish. Matches were alright, but tonight was all about promos. Everything advanced nicely, and i can really feel AEW entering mainstream soon.
10.12.2020 | Chainyi | 9.0 | Wieder eine nahezu perfekte Ausgabe. Kommt nicht ganz an die Vorwoche heran. Einziges Lowlight war der Auftritt von Shaq.
10.12.2020 | medouse | 8.0 | One of the best episodes in a while. Matches sucked, however that opener Young Bucks vs The Hybrid2 was absolutely great. So, what was the best about this show? Promos! Sting did a very good talk with Cody. I liked it. Later on was that short but great segment with Brandi Rhodes and Shaq. But the best promo was The Inner Circle's. That was totally EPIC. Also, I have to give some credit to Callis and Omega at the end. They start to become the biggest heels in AEW history. I recommend this Dynamite episode.
10.12.2020 | Bearcatfan4life | 7.0 | This show started out with an incredible Young Bucks-TH2 match and couldn? t be matched after that. The other good matches were the 6 man tag and the main event, which was super fun, but had too much stuff going on outside the ring for my liking. The ending with Miro was great and surprising since they haven? t gone this strong with him yet. I look forward to seeing the follow up. He has star potential. The Omega segment was disappointing for me. Not that the promo was bad. It was actually quite good, but it was very similar to the Impact segment, which I thought was better. And they didn? t give me the big announcement they promised. Arriving in the helicopter was a nice touch, though. The Sting segment wasn? t much but planted future seeds and could lead to a Cody heel turn. Inner Circle segment was a riot, just great tv. I enjoyed the skit where Page joined with the Dark Order. John Silver is so entertaining. The Shaq bit was quite the visual to see water thrown on him. Abadon is something different, that? s for sure. Overall lots of stuff. Some hits, some misses. Never boring and some strong matches.
10.12.2020 | Suzukigun | 7.0 | A quality show, albeit a step down from last week's monumental show, but that was expected. Matches were good, with the Bucks/TH2 match being the match of the night worthy of a ***1/2 rating. Abadon's match and Dustin Rhodes' match were fine squashes with good aftermaths. Main event and six-man were both in the *** range and fine. FTR vs the Varsity Blondes was a good, old school type match, close to ***. This was an angle-heavy show, with nothing bad. The Hangman/Dark Order segment was a standout moment and the Kenny/Callis segment was similar to the Impact segment, but the energy was much louder and Kenny came across like The Cleaner. I loved that. The Inner Circle stuff was good, not great, but fine too. Shaq's segment was surprisingly subdued but the ending was hilarious, especially the closing image of it. Again, this was a packed show with nothing bad, in the 7/10 range. I can't give it lower than that, but I can't give it an 8. A show worth watching that set the seeds for future shows.
