[10.0] "Despite a weird opening Riddle Vs Ohno squash, every else was a hit with Baszler Vs Sane two out of three falls being amazing, the WarGames match with UE Vs Dunne, Ricochet and War Raiders is spectacular and both Gargano Vs Black and Ciampa Vs Dream are absolutely phenomenal. Overall NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2 (2018) is an absolutely phenomenal and entertaining show and definitely one of the best ever."

"The main thing that stuck to me after watching this show months after it aired (I had gotten tired of wrestling in 2018) was just how good Black/Gargano was. WarGames is always fun so that main event didn't miss, and both world title matches were solid. The Baszler/Sane feud was a highlight of this year in NXT."

Both Black vs Gargano and Ciampa vs Dream were great, although I would give the title match the edge for MOTN, as Black vs Gargano was just a spotfest, albeit a good one. Elsewhere as I said earlier the main event was good, but dragged at points and given the stipulation of the women's match it was not given enough time to get beyond being just good."

[6.0] "Riddle vs Ohno (doesn't really count, minus 1 to overall score) Baszler vs Sane- 7/10 Black vs Gargano- 8/10 Ciampa vs Dream- 8/10 War Games- 7/10 It was a decent showing from Wargames II. I enjoyed the match between Gargano and Black though some of it was a bit too much. Ciampa and Dream had a good match. War Games... was War Games. It's entertaining if you take it for what it is. But yeah, you lose a whole point for that stupid squash match."

[5.0] "One of the weaker Takeover shows, since i was not a fan of Ciampa/Dream and Gargano/Black matches. Also Riddle vs Ohno a 7 sec squash? What was the point? The women match was Motn and i also liked the main event, even if it is similar to last year."

[4.0] "Another ridiculously overhyped Takeover as a habit in 2018. Shame on you HHH, why can't you give Riddle/Ohno a fun 10 minute sprint instead you gave nearly 50 minute main event mediocre spot fest ? Women match was MOTN with great action in 10 minutes and I am not annoyed by the overbooking at all. It was even fun. Gargano/Black was another forced epic from Big Johnny who continued his streak of annoying, cringeworthy acting over wrestling. It was indy style mixing with WWE melodrama-not good at all. The nxt title match was okay but Ciampa's work was not good as I go into detail. Match turned into WWE Epic style towards the end when they tried to kick out everything. The main event was not as good as last year's. Overlong, dull at times and the Pete Dunne's spot was totally useless. It was a typical spot fest with same structure like last year's, no creativity and forced drama at the end. Overall, I didn't enjoy as much as others."

[8.0] "The WarGames match was a good brawl/spotfest, and I appreciated that it was formatted more closely to the real WCW WarGames format than last year (though I still wish they'd put a roof on it and make it submission-only), but it told a good story of multiple feuds between the Undisputed Era and various opponents on the other team and everybody got a chance to shine. Ciampa-Dream and Black-Gargano were both fine matches. On a slightly-more negative front, Baszler-Sane was OK, but not as strong as their Evolution match, and was way too short to make the 2-out-of-3 Falls stipulation worth, while the seven-second Riddle-Ohno match was fine as a debut angle and feud-starter, seemed like it would be better suited to TV rather than a TakeOver. While I didn't find this to be one of the strongest TakeOver shows overall, the last three matches are certainly worth seeing."

[9.0] "Overall this ppv was awesome ! 1) RIddle vs Ohno , ok , skip :D..... 2) Shayna vs Kairi was almost good , i like shayna but when u check her all match u will see u can't expect more of her , so i think this match at shayna's match was near good..... 3) Aleister vs Johnny was good match , not like other johnny match but was enough for say that match was good..... 4) Ciampa vs Dream was awesome , at past i saw Dream in tough enough i never thought he had high potential like now , he surprise me and i think he can make big and shiny future for himself..... 5) Eight Man Tag Team War Games Match was awesome too , 8 talented and smart wrestler in this match make it awesome......... i enjoyed of this TakeOver like others TakeOver , and thanks everyone in nxt that u know our time is worthy and do your best."

[9.0] "Amazing Takeover but not as good as I expected: The opening promo and "match" were weird and it felt out of place. I wanted to see this match and even though itŽs possibly the best booking possible this felt as an unnecessary addition to the show. Kairi vs Shayna was really good but underwhelming match. I expected that with the stipulation we could see one of the best female matches in WWE history. I think it was really good but the early interference, the lack of time and the overbooked finish made this match not as good as expected but still a great match. *** 1/2 Black vs Gargano was the MOTN it was awesome from start to the end. The action the drama, the near falls, Johnny freaking wrestling at his best, Black kicking the shit out of Johnny... It was outstanding. Easily one of the best matches of the year. ***** Ciampa vs Dream: Not as good as the previous but still an amazing bout. The two of them put everything they had and had one of the best bouts of the night. The Dream experience isnŽt over because it only gets better everyday with this one being his best match to date and that says a lot. And Ciampa is by far the best heel in wrestling having legitimate heat with the crowd despite cutting excellent promos and having amazing matches. The nearfalls, the crowd, the intensity and the psychology on this match was superb. **** 3/4 War Gmaes: This match was too long. They could have cut 10 minutes and this match would have been even better. The first half of the match was good but it lacked some intensity only highlighted by the amount of natural talent on the ring. But everything changed with Dunne. The match was faster, more brutal and better. Crazy spots and excellent storytelling made this match as good as people says. **** 1/2 Overall amazing show aside from the first half hour that really disappointed me. Recommended. 9/10."

[5.0] "That Takeover was one of the worst Takeover's which I have watched. It was as bad as TO: Unstoppable 2015. Yeah, Ohno is a coach in PC and he hasn't got a aim in like getting titles in NXT or main roster but getting jobbed in a match which 9 seconds was totally disgusting. They could stole the show. Anyway, it was an impressive debut for Riddle. He continues with his Indy gimmick but I don't think that even in NXT, he can't hold the Live Event schedule. That was one of the reason NJPW didn't want to work with him. Drugs and his indisclipline. Those can even end Riddle's carrier. DUD. Women's match was good but it wasn't enough for 2 out 3 falls situplation. This situplation is one of the most royal wrestling match situplation and CMLL even continues this situplation regularly but these womens can't hold the situplation. Anyway, i'm happy with the result. 3. 75 Result was garbage. Yeah, there was an excellent in-ring action but Black's win was so stupid. We are waiting for months to Gargano's rise to NXTC pot but Black won the match. 4. 25 Velveteen Dream is a distinction. He is one of the best all rounders in active wrestling. Percent that he will be buried like Tyler Breeze in main roster is scaring me but I think Dream has done more thing from Tyler. Although, Vince still hates homofobik gimmicks. I hope Dream will win the title at TO: New Jersey. He is so young. He can stay in NXT for many years. Ciampa had opened a god mode in match but I'm still happy with the match. I love Ciampa too. 4. 5 Worse than last year's match. This year, they booked the match like a NWA: War Games match but due to there was an dark story, feud can't hold that style. And I wanted a Dunne heel turn even though his reign is so boring, they didn't do the turn. 4. 25"

[9.0] "NXT closes out a banner year with another show of the year contender. Matt Riddle got his Takeover career off to a emphatic start with a squash of Ohno. No problems there. 2 out of 3 falls match was entertaining and will lead to more feuds for everyone involved but it should have been longer. (***3/4) Black/Gargano was outstanding as expected. Fast pace, hard hitting and had great storytelling. Excited to see where they go next. (****1/2) Ciampa/Dream was my MOTN. A really great title match that built into an explosive finish. Several close nearfalls. Dream gave a career best performance here and Ciampa continues his reign. (****1/2). WarGames delivered once again and was the perfect way to close the show. Everybody looked like a star here. A crazy spot/brawl fest with the right guys going over. (****1/2)."

[10.0] "I absolutely loved this show, it started off with a little energy boost with Riddle vs Ohno ( ) Baszler vs Saine was a bit too quick for my liking for a 2 out of 3 falls match but was still enjoyable (***1/2) Gargano vs Black was very enjoyable and slightly over the top but I didn? t mind it, both men brought it at usual. MOTN candidate (****1/2) Dream vs Ciampa was my favorite match of the night personally, the spots were incredible and the crowd was hot for Velveteen, the match also told a story I felt like I could feel Velveteen? s desire to be champion. MOTN candidate (*****). Last but not least the War Games matchup was also incredible imo the overall bumps taken and the stamina shown by all the competitors was very impressive and all the spots were great too. MOTN candidate. (*****)"

I don't know why the made that segment of Riddle winning in 6 seconds Ohno I didn't like it, Shayna vs Kairi ***3/4 the interferaences were ok, Aleister Black vs Johny Gargano fantastic match ****1/2, Tomasso Ciampa vs Velvetem Dream , another great match by Velvetem every match that he is in is awesome and it goes the same to Ciampa ****1/2 and the War Games match ****1/4. another great show by NXT I really wish the main roster would do ppvs like that."

[9.0] "I loved the whole show top to bottom, the reason why I deducted one point is 2 illogical points in the main event. I like attention to detail, that is what makes something perfect to me. Problem 1: If the referees knew - and one of them did - that the cage where Dunne was closed by Fish can only be opened by the key that Fish threw into the crowd, in the 3-minute waiting period why didn't they get the stuff that could open the cage door in time? Problem 2: Why, in the first place, did Fish want to close Dunne out of the match when it can only be won if EVERYONE is in the cage? Best thing about the show: Aleister Black was made to look like a million bucks by Gargano, awesome match. I wish I could write the same about the main roster ppv shows and rate them alike."

[10.0] "I have no words for describe what I just saw. One of the greatest events I ever saw in my life in my personal story as pro wrestling fan. 4 matches one better than another. The match between Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano is a masterpiece in storytelling and in action in-ring. Gargano is probably the best perfomer in wwe right now, and Aleister black was the perfect dance partner. The two wrestlers styles mixed perfectly, the storyline has been constructed in a wonderful way and the spots created in the match were awesome. The finish of the match was unbelievable in Phatos and storytelling represented perfectly the Aleister character (the true undertaker ? s heir) ... I absolve you from yours sins... the beauty of sport-entertainment. The match between velveteen and ciampa. WOW ... I didn? t expect such a great match. It was one of the best singles matches I ever saw. In the beginning Of The Match it was great the velveteen stealing moves from hulk hogan macho man Shawn Michaels, I love his gimmick, but I thought it was good but not so good... the finish sequences are unbelievably and catapult it in wwe history... they became two instant legends I thought 4/5 times it was over, never saw so many falls finish and so believable... the war games was a demolition derby full of great spotfest (unbelievable the suplex on Adam Cole or the Richochet moonsault from the top of the cage) I loved the story about Pete dunne injury and the strategy of undisputed era. I loved also the finish of the match. Amazing the best event of the year no doubt about it."

Amazing match that lived up to the hype. The end of this match was badass as hell ****3/4. Ciampa/Dream was incredible. As great as it was though, I'm a bit dissatisfied with how indestructible they made Ciampa here ****1/2. War Games 2 was absolutely epic. i can't believe there was a double moonsault from off the cage. Ricochet is a freak but everyone delivered here and made for an epic sequel to last year ****1/2. A smaller card, but pound for pound quality this is arguably the best Takeover."

Gargano and Black had a fast paced hell of a match--the Black Mass is so badass (****. 25). Ciampa and Dream outdid that match with a total classic, fantastic psychology and hard hitting (****. 75). Bald **** hit Mauro! And War Games was chaotic and fun as expected, though it suffers a bit from going after the previous matches and having some really contrived spots (****. 25)."
