This dude seems to have all the confidence in the world yet he's somehow massively insecure and continually psyches himself out and lets his mouth shoot him in the foot for no reason. His two big claims to wrestling fame are botching a move and continually picking fights with other wrestlers on social media that nobody cares about. There's just nothing about Francis that is interesting, or inspiring, or compelling. His look, promos and persona are as banal as humanly possible, and his wrestling gear makes him look like he exclusively shops at Ross Dress for Less, presumably to cover up his skinnyfat phsyique. He wrestles a big-man style but he just isn't convincing in the role he's trying to play. I get that he's 6'5" but why does he insist on stepping over the top rope like Kane when he barely ever actually accomplishes it? Imagine if Adam Copeland or Angelo Dawkins did that shit all the time, lol. That's actually a pretty good microcosm of AJ Francis in general: Thinking he's much bigger than he actually is. Confidence can only get you so far. Eventually you have to actually deliver. 2.5 rounded up."
[7.0] "The body of this guy's main WWE work came during a time when I was not watching, so I was introduced to him through his work in TNA; I didn't even know that " flop dolla" was a thing until later. That said, it seems like he has improved a fair bit since those days. It's perplexing to me that he was a face in WWE; I struggle to even imagine wtf a face AJ Francis would look like. It seems like he may have been put into numerous positions he couldn't have been all that comfortable with, & it's a high-pressure situation for anybody to find themselves launched headlong into the WWE within 2 years & only 4 matches of being a wrestler. However, these days, in TNA, he has an array of good-looking moves, moves around well for a big guy, & is really killing it with this unlikable heel gimmick. He's very domineering in-ring, & his mic work is very noteworthy & I've never been sad to see him wrestle for TNA."
[2.0] "As a smark, I try to give heels the benefit of the doubt when it comes to heel work and I understand it's much harder to do in the modern wrestling landscape where it seems every heel is "cool". This guys body of work is simply just awful, I actually haven't really watched much of his work in the fed but what I've been exposed to in TNA has been pretty dreadful. I understand TNA is more of a promo/storyline company which he should reasonably fit in, but he's easily one of my least favorite people on that roster that's left."

An annoying and cocky character like a parody of Suge Knight with impressive moves like moonsaults or a knee on the corner before a somersault to outside. Good mic, interaction with x division minions like K.C. or Rich Swann as First Class, and rivalries against Hendry, Santana and Nic Nemeth."

For example a No DQ match against Mike Santana on Impact earlier in 2025 comes to mind as quite entertaining, as well as recently as his match with Matt Hardy at Victory Road. Even though, I have no idea how he didnt snap his legs in half jumping through that ladder at Slammiversary, I will still say he has given me entertainment in 2025 in a serious & nonserious manner. Hes good at getting good & bad heat. So be it."

Not really seeing a benefit of having him in tna maybe he has connections or something I don't know but maybe he needs to learn the basics before he ends up hurting someone or Worse."

I still think he has some potential as a big man and I've seen it in some matches but he still hasn't improved overall enough yet or at least not enough yet to mask his weaknesses effectively and consistently which I think is the path he's going and can work out better for him. The day I'm writing this happens to be a day he talked about Cagematch ratings where instead of taking it as another form of positive or negative feedback on how some fans view him as an in ring worker he just blows it off as "losers"/haters which fair enough given how many big opportunities he's gotten despite barely improving in ring no wonder any valid or invalid reviews by the people who watch & support these platforms that keep paying him, so yeah it's not a shock a guy who has barely improved above being slightly above drizzling shits level and has been given far more than most pro wrestlers has an ego. I had him rated low before, this isn't something new. my rating for him is based mainly off of his abilities inside the ring"

In First Class he's hilarious and works well with KC Navarro. He's had a few pretty good matches too in singles contests. He's likely not gonna be an all time great but he's pretty good right now"

"Look the reality is, this just might be the very worst wrestler to wrestle for the WWE / WWF in the past 40 years and in the entire history of TNA and GCW . He bumbles around the ring looking slightly of axis and ready to fall over. When he strikes his opponents he looks as though he is pretending to wrestle in the playground and when he talks on the mic he has nothing interesting to say and he does that in a very bland way. He is the worst professional wrestler I have seen in my entire life. He is worse than every backyard and independent wrestler I have ever seen. [6.0] "I missed the majority of his WWE run but I do recall he was famous for failing to jump over the top rope. I eye-rolled pretty hard when he immediately debuted in TNA. Felt like a bit of a "TNA is BACK" moment with them bringing in one of the least sought-after "ex-WWE guys." That said, I think he's been doing a good job in TNA, and I think he's a good presence on TV there. Some of the entourage stuff I don't personally need (since I don't know the majority of his celebrity pals, I don't get much out of seeing them, but I have to imagine the reverse is true for others), and while I think he and Rich Swann work really well together, it's a shame seeing Swann reduced to kind of a lackey. I also hope that there's bigger things for Josh Bishop than being a henchman."
[2.0] "Not a very good worker, he did have something going as the head "MC" of Hit Row, but once the bell rang, he always underwhelmed. Hasn't really shown much improvement since leaving WWE."

[3.0] "When he debuted I thought we had something, but in NXT, he never really made me sit up and take notice, and when he got called up far too early, he, and the other 2 I never remembered the names of were just seen as poor John Cena imitators. They seemed more interested in rapping than actually competing. He also was a bit slow when other big men were really fast like Big Show and Rikishi. The worst part was without a doubt the moment when he tried a suicide dive and botched it very badly. In fact, it was so poor that Michael Cole even brought it up and whenever someone mentions it on X, he just blocks them. He might do better in TNA, but I still want to see him as a threat rather than what TNA has become which is where wrestlers go when they can't work anywhere else."
[6.0] "In NXT hr had promise but was green. When he was released with Hit Row folks were upset because they all had potential but were green. Upon returning he wasn't in the best shape and probably needed time to work through the ring rust. Then his flop dolla dive happened and every ounce of potential went out the wi down in the eyes of the fanbase. Top Dolla is good on the mic and okay as a wrestler. At one time, folks were SHOCKED at his agility, but when his health soured he instantly became "the worst ever". He's now in a solid place of rehabbing his career in TNA amd GCW. After a standout match against Janela and killing promos in TNA I feel more eyes should be on him and he should be given more credit. He's turned his health around, and is performing better. It's a shame how folks judge a wrestler on their lowest point. I just hope he doesn't worm himself into a shoot b.c he doesn't need to be beefing with other wrestlers in the indies. HES GOING FOR MOONSAULTS AND NAILING THEM. He's still green but working hard and hustling"
