[] "It isn't easy to review an entire promotion. In the grand scheme of things, I've watched so little. I would say the company peaked aesthetically and with its roster in 1996-2004. That feeling was never matched again despite the company putting out quality matches and rivalries afterwards. The roughest patch was 2010-2022. That's very general and does not apply for (most) of the NXT division, but that's when the company began to get stale and watered down. Once competition had died for a while, they put less effort into the programming, and it shows - the best stuff - the summer of punk, the yes movement - were spun from crowd frustration. Once Vince departed from the creative side, there was a dramatic improvement with all his silly rules gone and a better work environment. It's far from perfect still, the wrong people are getting pushed at the moment and those with potential have been lowered a little. Still, I continue to follow WWE, especially now, because of its more consistent quality."

[7.0] "Luger's performance is so good here, looking impressive when dishing out offense with a side of arrogance and a bloated ego at times, and having that consistent thread of wanting to avoid Brian when he caught fire was such a good choice in this heel performance, as it puts over the younger Brian. Brian was good too, having some bursts of catching fire, creating excitement as he had the more dynamic offense. When it was all said and done, this was a good outing for Brian to have on his resume, but an impressive one for Luger as he commanded attention. There was a moment there where Luger seemed to get carried away as the people were cheering at his awesome offense that came off charming but also babyface-esque. A really good match! ***1/2"
