"I've been making them dance around saying 'Spear! Spear! Spear!'"

Edge: "Unfortunately, this Monday I was drafted to RAW. And I'll be perfectly honest, I don't wanna go. Because SmackDown has always felt like it's my show, my home. And you people, you felt like my family. You know, through all of my injuries, through my trials and my tribulations you people have supported me--quite frankly, when I probably didn't deserve it. Your support actually got me back as quick as I did from this achilles heel injury. So I wanted to come out here tonight and I wanted to say a proper goodbye, I wanted to thank you and wanted to tell each and every one of you that from the bottom of my heart... I love you."

[Die Musik von Christian ertönt und Captain Charisma kommt zum Ring.]

Edge: "I know why you're out here, but before you get to it I just have to say: Edge... and Christian! [Jubel] E & C, you people obviously remember everything that we did. And listen, before you wish me luck on RAW I just gotta tell you that you're my best friend. And because you're my best friend, I wanna wish you luck here on my show; I wanna wish you luck here on SmackDown, buddy."

Christian: "Well, Edge, I appreciate you saying that and I'm glad you brought up the 'best friends' thing. It seems like a lot of people remember the history of Edge and Christian. Some people may not, and for those of you I'm gonna paint a little picture for you right now. We've known each other our whole lives, since the 6th grade. We went to high school together; we were roommates in college; we broke into this business together; we made it to the WWE together; we travelled the world together; we became 7-time WWE Tag Team champions... together. And you know what that means? That means that I know you better than anybody. Actually, it means that I probably know you better than you know yourself. It also means that I know that every single word that came out of your mouth before I came out here... was a load of crap."

Edge: "Where... where is this coming from? What is this about?"

Christian: "Look, you've had an amazing career. And look, you've come back from some serious, potentially career-ending injuries and the WWE Universe respected you so much for that. I don't think you truly know you much they respected you for that. [Beifall vom Publikum] But the problem is, Edge, you never really respected them back. You did what Edge always does, you used them to get what you want."

Edge: "Okay, I'm starting to get this. This isn't about me, is it? This is about you, right? I mean, you've had a great career, no doubt, but I am a 9-time World Heavyweight champion. Christian, how many World championships have you won?"

Christian: "You're right, Edge, you're right. I've never been World champion--yet! But when I do win a World championship I'm gonna win it on my own merit, I'm gonna win it on my own talent, not because I had to step on other people's necks to get there. Look now, I know what you're trying to do, you're trying to change the subject and I'm not gonna let you do it. I'm gonna call you out, right here, right now, in front of the WWE Universe. I'm gonna look you in your eyes and I'm gonna tell you exactly what you are. And if the people don't know it, they're gonna know it now: You are a liar!"

[Edge brütet für ein paar Sekunden nach diesen Worten.]

Edge: "You know what? You know what, you're right. Yeah, you [an die Zuschauer gewandt] didn't see that coming. You're right! I can't wait to get off this show. For the last few months, I've been the puppeteer and these people have been my puppets. I've been making them dance around saying 'Spear! Spear! Spear!' any time I wanted them to. And guess what, they did it. I am a master psychologist. I played the entire world; everybody in this arena and everyone else around the world--and guess what, I enjoyed every second of it."

Christian: "You know, ever since I came back to the WWE the peeps have been asking, the boys in the back have been asking, everybody's been asking: 'When are we gonna see Edge & Christian reunite? E & C, when are we gonna see them make one more run for the titles? But it dawned on me, finally. After all these years, after everything that we've been through together--you used me, too. You used me to get to the top. And you know something, when I first came back I thought there might be a possibility, but you know what? I don't wanna see Edge and Christian anymore. I think, I'd rather see Edge versus Christian right here, right now."

[Edge zieht sich wütend seine Jacke aus, stoppt dann jedoch, bevor es zur Konfrontation kommt.]

Edge: "No!"

Christian: "That's exactly what I--"

[Edge attackiert Christian von hinten und tritt ihn in eine Ecke. Als er den Spear zeigen will, kontert Christian die Aktion und will den Killswitch anbringen. Edge entwischt gerade so und sammelt sich auf der Rampe neu. Christian greift noch einmal zum Mikrofon.]

Christian: "You know something, Edge, I think I have a better chant than 'Spear! Spear! Spear!' and it goes a little something like this: Nana nana, nana nana, heyheyhey, goodbye..."

[Das Publikum stimmt den Goodbye-Song kurz an und verabschiedet Edge so vorerst von SmackDown.]
