711.04.2024igskillfart6.0I think people get mixed with professional wrestling and entertainment. WWE was a great promotion, and honestly its still is. being the most popular company outside of europe. I became a wrestling fan because of wwe and probably half of the population. its probably the most known thing in the world. But i just dont get how people like this stuff. If your looking for entertainment and cenima. WWE is for you. but for me i really dont like that kind of stuff. WWE is not professional wrestling, its sports entertainment. If you love professional wrestling. WWE is not for you, They have great wrestlers in there buisness but they dont use them. And there past with Vince McMahon is getting forgotten and people are ignoring it, Sure Triple H is cooking this year and wwe from 2023 to now is very good and actually something to watch. I really dont get how yall think this is professional wrestling. Also i wanna say something about the camera replays. I hate when they replay stuff it is slow but when the move is being hit, it goes fast. I dont like that cus it makes it look like its fake, NJPW does not do that and thats why i love njpw. Im not saying i hate wwe, trust me i still watch there most popular ppvs. but come on, this is not professional wrestling. and WWE is very predictable, makes it less fun to watch. The spam finishes and kickouts, table spots, interference, thats why a wwe style match is. Which is why i do not like this promotion now. If you want competitive pro wrestling. Either watch njpw or indie shows. if you just simply like entertainment of professional wrestling. WWE is for you. its not my up of tea. And people saying "its back" because of Triple H is so wrong, they destroy other companies, The stupid "Budget cuts" excuse is so ridiculous to me. They have very talented wresters. I dont get how they are still in this buisness. Was WWE the best promotion at a certain point. Yes. But you cant say WWe is the best promotion when they make the dummest decisions ever, They try to make character remakes and its awful. But the E is all they care about, I hope people they know there using professional wrestling just to make money. There PPVs from 2017-2021 were the worst ive ever seen. They try to make the fans look stupid. They destory other wrestlers careers with dum booking, or they just simply dont use them. there NXT golden era was SO much better than there main product which is not a good thing, NXT is devolmental and they made it like competitve wrestling which why it was so good. I would only watch WWE because of NXT. if you like WWE good for you. I would rather watch the late 80s wwf then now. now that was RASSILIN, they had huge stars back in the day. but like i said before. There past with Vince is awful, This dude probably has more scandals then more 5 star matches WWE has (not including NXT). dont get me wrong Vince is a very good booker, putting on some of my favorite matches. But the fact yall talorate this guy is unbelieveable to me. saying "if it wasnt for Vince i wouldnt be here as a wrestling fan" is actually a joke, i can go on and say how i dont like this promotion, im just not a fan.

1908.04.2024daichi10.0TRIPLE FUCKING H ERA BABY. Bloodline storyline made me come back to wrestling 10 years later. Everything that this company has been since summer I have loved. Of course there are ups and downs but with events like wrestlemania 40, I am happy to say that wrestling is back.
2008.04.2024Marsdude One of the worst promotions of all time. There has been great matches and feuds throughout its history but they have always been bad. There isn't a time where you can say that they were good. Pro wrestling would be better off without WWE.

2406.04.2024arisenby6.0[6.3] For better or worse, undeniably the most important promotion of all time and linked to the development of modern wrestling in such a way that it is hard to imagine what the wrestling world looks like without its influence. That said, modern WWE is for the most part just mediocrity with occasional hints of something great underneath. Great history, great roster, but the actual wrestling feels like an afterthought, especially after the rise of the Bloodline. Throw in some genuinely abhorrent top brass, bad working practices, and horrible mistreatment of workers, and the conclusion reached is that the top promotion in the world is semi-decent product produced by a terrible company.

2604.04.2024ECWCWWEAEW6.0I tolerated WWE for a long time before they finally broke me as it were. Having started in 2004 I knew disappointment quickly with how short Eddie and Benoits reigns were, then watching the rise and rise and rise and never fall of John Cena over people like Jericho, Edge, Angle, Shawn Micheals and so on... i really didnt start getting upset with most of their choices till Roman Reigns. At first I was fine when they tried a title run a few times but failed, but they... KEPT DOING IT. He now has main-evented more Wrestlemanias than ANYONE else. Does that sound right to you? Even with the Tribal Chief stuff I got bored after he double-pinned Edge and Bryan, while that seemed cool I slowly realized he was going to be champion for far too long and for far less reasons. Flashforward and now He has also beaten every possible storyline opponent who could have taken it from him. Cody Rhodes, Sami Sayn, Jey Uso. It doesn't matter now, his reign is just... there. There are dozens of other reasons, their mistreatment of wrestlers during Covid, never pushing the right new stars and then forcing the bland problematic ones down fans throats, they keep doing it, they've been doing it for 40 years now. It's exhausting. I can watch the old good stuff with the network but it might be a LONG time before I care about watching it week to week or whatever they have planned for the future because right now it is the most turbulent and unsure course WWE has ever been on.

2902.04.2024GhassaneJabri2.0The one fed that people outside of Europe and the Americas keep hearing of. Now that I've spent 8 sporadic years keeping an eye on WWE, I'm very confident in saying that it has become one of my least favorite feds of all time despite it becoming much more competent during Triple H's era. Here are my issues with this fed: 1) Their roster is incredible, but they don't know how to use all of them to their fullest potential, and they also decide who we should care about (that 2019 "You are the authority" promo keeps getting funnier each year) based on morals and tales that are so out of touch. Also, it is outright embarrassing that they keep releasing talent while they keep breaking making a fuck ton of money. 2) Why do they hate tag team wrestling so much? The level of quality of WWE's tag team scene goes as following, one step forward, 5 steps back. Look no further than the booking at any given year for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. None of the tag teams who won these belts feel like they excel in ring psychology, same goes for the movesets, they don't feel inspiring. There's no need to give a spotlight to tag team wrestling if they're not going to treat it with the importance it deserves. 3) The Saudi Arabia partnership. Need I say more? 4) The biggest focus is the E in WWE, case in point, Akira Tozawa vs Ricochet sounds like a dream match for anyone who saw them in Dragongate or PWG, but nobody would give a donkey's shit about them wrestling in WWE, because it is a perpetual glorified TV show that emphasizes on characters and storylines much more than workrate and performances. However, the one saving grace from that specific complaint has been Gunther, and I hope he keeps thriving as the upcoming unstoppable final boss. 5) PPV non-finishes, it is non only insulting to the viewer's intelligence but also to his/her money. Why would you do that? 6) Final point, it is absolutely unnecessary for WWE to ever book no-DQ matches. These matches are far too pedestrian, and their level of creativity along with the PG-type restrictions make it impossible for the matches to showcase any shock value nor entertainment. Thankfully, I've discovered other wrestling companies who seem to do fine with this type of match. That's it, I'm tired of writing about them. There's no reason for anyone who cares about professional wrestling to invest into this company in any way, because they themselves have made it obvious that they're too focused on an E more than a W.

Very bullish business practices though, treat people like crap for years because they could, outright lied multiple times over the years. All of a sudden they have had to get their act together due to competition popping up and they are loved again, the scandals lasted a week before people just got excited by the rock. Well played WWE, well played. They change history, they ignore the truth, its mad how much people forget.

4024.03.2024Lord AdGnalDiv4.0A mostly mediocre product with occasional moments of greatness, produced by a terrible company. Between its monopolization of the industry in the 80s, its proliferation of absolutely horrendous business practices, its history of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse backstage, and its dealings with Saudi Arabia, WWE is a poison to the professional wrestling industry and even worse from a moral standpoint.

4519.03.2024Jeezus9.0[2023-2024: 4.50/5.00] This is an overall rating of WWE for the years 2023 to 2024 Present Day, it's probably the hottest it has ever been since the glorious Attitude Era days and the numbers, facts, and stats speak for themselves and those are reflected on the booking of the programming weekly and monthly PPVs, where rarely anything has been missed or fumbled. Where every wrestler and character matters, where no one is treated as a joke anymore. WWE has changed a lot from the awful days between 2017 - 2019 [0.50/5.00] overpushing of unwanted stars and elevating them to stardom, and as a result we get matches that are currently changing the landscape of wrestling itself. A new era of wrestling has emerged where wrestling has resurged in mainstream eyes, where it's resurged to pop culture phenomenon, and that is mostly how well WWE has been doing for structuring their cards, wrestlers and even their business models. Sure, everyone has their flaws with WWE, whether by wrestling or the controversies behind it, least I'm having fun with it and that's all that matters to me, and that's all what I asked for, it's still not perfect.
4619.03.2024hazynoodles8.0
4718.03.2024IDriveAFordFusion7.0Someone here said it best, WWE is like the McDonald's of the wrestling world, the most mainstream and marketable wrestling company, obviously 'World' is in the title and they are world-renown as they go all over the world year round sometimes. I can't rate WWE highly due to some controversies in the past, like the mistreatment of women until the mid 2010s, some nefarious scandals that continue to hurt the reputation of the company, the constant pushing of certain wrestlers that shouldn't be pushed (ex. Goldberg), the wasting of wrestlers who are over and/or really good (ex. LA Knight). I could go on and on but I don't want to cherry pick the bad without mentioning the good, like creating successful wrestlers and characters like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Bret Hart, and several others that have helped define a company and different eras of the WWE. WWE has got almost everything you could possibly want, if you want casual storylines and matches, RAW, Smackdown, and the PLEs are for you! if you want to see the young, bright up and coming wrestlers, NXT is for you! Chances are, you are going to enjoy WWE if you are wanting to get into wrestling for the first time, my introduction to wrestling was from WWE, and I still enjoy the product from time to time, but I do look back and see some negatives with the company, especially with the product sometimes can be hard to watch, WWE had a rough end to the 2010s, with 2017-2019 being the worst years of WWE, however, the company has since rebounded and although I have my criticisms of Triple H as a booker, I think he (along with Shawn Michaels) is doing a really good job.

5214.03.2024FuzzGod5.0Roman wins LOL, the story of this company for the past 8 years. They have one of the best rosters in the world but are stationary in who gets the ball. A lot of the wrestlers on their roster have grinded years to get to that point just for them to be in a purgatory of multi-month feuds or being used in a squash match for the flavors of the month. It makes it feel like 80% of their roster can't win a match.

5810.03.2024Zak227.0WWE/WWF/WWWF is a difficult beast to rate because its been so many different things and even different brands being different things at the same time. Overall, I recognise that the in-ring style of WWE is largely not for me, accept for the period of 2002-2006 I don't think WWE really delivered consistent good in-ring entertainment, but this is probably because I prefer Japanese or Southern Rasslin' or even old European Catch style matches. Lots of the "highlights" of the Hulkamania era for me are just slow, basic matches that don't engage me (although weirdly I do enjoy Hogan v Andre), and I find the attitude era to have been the definition of a mixed bag, so the two golden eras of WWF slightly let me down, current WWE's in ring product is....fine, but as I said, its just not my style. I'm also one of those people who watches wrestling for the wrestling and WWE prefers to focus on promo's and storyline segments, which personally doesn't do it for me. All that being said the WWE has produced some of the best matches of all time and some iconic teams and stables, so I can't be too harsh. But its worth noting that WWE also wasted some of the best opportunities in wrestling with the Invasion storyline and the re-vamped ECW. A 7 is probably fair but its far from a favourite of mine.
5909.03.2024houseofcopeland7.0Ah World Wrestling Entertainment. When the E is good, you get absolute magic like Wrestlemania 17, 'Taker/HBK at Mania 25, MITB '11 and so much more. But when the E is bad, you get absolute dogshit like Wrestlemania 27, Crown Jewel '18, the '15 Royal Rumble and so much more. Production value is much better now that Kevin Dunn has fucked off but minor issues of quality control do pop up on occassion. Wrestlemania 40 is looking to be make or break for the E and I'm hoping it's good.
6005.03.2024sarahlicity7.0If one were to make a food analogy for WWE, it would be that it would be the McDonalds of professional wrestling. Incredibly popular, reliable and serviceable, but there's something missing that prevents it from true greatness. Now, don't get me wrong, WWE really excels in some places, most notably in its sense of spectacle and pageantry. It's also a really accessible entrance into the world of professional wrestling. But there's something about it that just doesn't click completely with me. A lot of this is down to Vince McMahon, really; he was a good promoter, but a disaster when to what happened between the ropes. As Paul Heyman once famously said, McMahon made wrestling a dirty word. And McMahon's greatest misstep was to homogenise the product, and nearly the entire industry, into a dull style that was too afraid to take risks or to fully commit to a story. It's undoubtable that WWE works better when it has competition, but the poisonous corporate culture there really doesn't want that. One would hope that Triple H's turn at the top goes a long way to improving that, but the jury is still out. Still, there's an undeniable quality to WWE. You may not think it's the greatest thing in the industry, but you can't help but be drawn back to them time and time again.
6105.03.2024Mister Cute Face8.0When it's hot it's hot, when it's not it's bad. And right now it's bad. If I were to rate it in a vacuum right at this moment with the destruction of Papa H's NXT, the bad booking that means nothing over the long term, and the waste of the best roster ever assembled, i am giving it a 5. The great matches are great, but when your booking is based around churning out content, the good matches are unfortunately drowned out by the cacophony of recaps, cookie cutter Raws, and reminders of what hashtags to use. Given the history and the unbelievable success as a brand and the amount of joy it previously brought me, it easily gets a 5. I hope it turns around soon. Edit 3/2023: much much improved. Definitely upped their game and the right players are getting TV time and they're developing a great new batch of talent. Stories make more sense and have a better build. I'm really happy to see stuff is turning around. 7 easy. Edit 1/2024 WWE will wind up the global property that McMahon was shooting for. HHH is such a great replacement for Vince. I don't love that they are just going to go back to amassing all the talent. Their pockets are deeper than anyone's and will continue to be the preferred destination for everyone that gets into the biz.

6403.03.2024OKZ Will4.0Rating this company is truly a trial. What do you base it on? As a business entity it is a ten out of ten, most successful version of wrestling that has ever existed. As a a wrestling product, it is a zero out of ten that has never been remotely interested in whether or not the in-ring product was even remotely passable in comparison to it's contemporaries. Historically, it will always be synonymous with wrestling in the USA, and that is both because it penetrated the public consciousness to such a degree, and because it is directly responsible destroying the entire industry and rendering it no longer financially viable. I will never enjoy this companies product, and I will always consider Vince McMahon and anyone who has good things to say about him as undeserving of human dignity. His grave should be marked with an outhouse rather than a tombstone. But rating the company purely as a wrestling product? I'll go with 4/10: non-challenging, unmemorable, and slightly below replacement level.
6501.03.2024forwardtodeath5.0The fixation on everything being squeaky clean, LED covered, easily marketable and micromanaged to death has made modern WWE feel like nothing unexpected or shocking ever really happens, which if you can recall is what made the company must watch television and a cultural cornerstone from 97 to 04. It's identity completely died and was reborn with the most corporatized stale image that you can imagine and that decision is reflected heavily in the mind-numbing angles, Marvel superhero characters, meaningless matches, no creative freedom, copy pasted sets and literally nauseating visual and audio production. These issues make sitting through a three hour RAW a complete drag for anyone but the indoctrinated. It's not about the product being kid friendly or it not having enough tits and blood, it's simply near impossible to take WWE seriously when they overstimulate the viewer with just about everything but good professional wrestling. There's a reason they haven't made any of their modern talents house hold names or brought wrestling back into the mainstream.

Even if you can see past their inhumanly gross behaviour, all the rape and sex trafficking, firing hundreds of workers while raking in record profits, and dealings with Saudi Arabia, the product just remains god awful. Between the worst production imaginable, complete colour oversaturation and seizure inducing editing, unlistenable commentary, unbelievably awfully scripted promo verbiage, high school play level acting and the most boring formulaic matches imaginable, this company is the worst thing that ever happened to wrestling. They never wanted to be wrestling or be called wrestling and I think it's time for wrestling fans to fulfill their wishes and be done with them. It's sad in some ways, as there are still very talented wrestlers working there.

7516.02.2024Adam GOATland Rating too low for this company that has so much to do with wrestling and deserves much more respect on this website I think
7616.02.2024mxkami6.0I watch the Big 5 with my partner (MITB should absolutely be included with the Big 4), and occasionally will check out other "PLEs" if a card gains A LOT of traction. That said... This company has singlehandedly done the most to both help and harm the world of pro wrestling. "Eh! But see, this is 'sports entertainment! '" I get that. And usually, I am very "sports entertained". But the fact that you can't talk to someone about wrestling, without there always being a comparison to this company (Attitude Era made the most money, Hogan in the 80s is the biggest ever, Vince is a GOD, blah blah blah) shows exactly what is currently wrong with wrestling fandom. Also, let's look at their partners in TKO Holdings aka UFC/Endeavor. UFC own PowerSlap! , a slap fighting promotion. Does that inherently give UFC additional credibility, because they have the most money and most TV exposure for an EXTREMELY niche "sport"? No, it does not. "You're a nobody unless you wrestle here! ", a direct quote from fans who have no idea that people like Kurt Angle and Bryan Danielson and countless others did their best work outside of the company. The spectacle is awesome, don't get me wrong. But their programming is super formulaic (RAW is 3 hours, with usually 4 matches on average, and the rest is all advertising or promos), they listen to the dollar bill too often which leads them to frequently shoot themselves in the foot and stumbling into something that they claim was always the plan (lookin' at you, recent Cody/Roman/Rock stuff), and iffy at best partnerships with governments of countries with less than ideal public standing hurts this company A LOT in not only my eyes, but the eyes of many other people who enjoy this business. Not to mention, that the egomaniac who went out of his way to make this company into what it is, is and always has been a certified creep and a backstabbing businessman, leaving a trail of broken people, families, and former companies offering many employment, in his wake.
7715.02.2024mj260910.0The biggest sports entertainment company in the world and for a good reason. I was a lapsed fan who only watched the big 4 PPVs for the last 5-6 years because of that old creepy perverted man. Has me hooked back ever since Triple H took over. Business is Hot, wrestling is great, the promo work is the best it has been in years. Cody, Roman, Seth, Punk, Drew, Sami, Owens, Gunther, Randy, LA Knight, AJ Styles. The current roster is the best it has been in years. Also the women's division is the best in the world with Becky, Bayley, Rhea, Bianca, Iyo, Asuka, Kairi, Charlotte etc.

8403.02.2024Leth992.0Full of bad history, stupid decisions, awkward booking and they can't even book babyfaces right anymore. The sets are horrible, the themes have ALL become terrible, nobody looks like a star anymore, they can't build guys (they only get over by themselves and somehow get even buried like guys like Zack Ryder), they bury promising young guys (Paul Burchill is the prime example I can think) and they squandered the Invasion angle so badly. You can't enjoy something like WWE, the only reason they're still here is because of guys like Jim Ross and Pat Patterson (RIP). They give someone some generic gimmick and let them figure it out themselves, giving the good stuff only to the guys they like (that 50% of the time can't even make things work). Raising my rating because I've been more forgiving towards the behind the scenes stuff, but the product on TV is still pretty bad (or at least IT WAS bad for too many years) Edit 2024: in just one month they lost all goodwill

8631.01.2024ImperialUno6.0WWE isn't a easy promotion to rate because there's some horrendous stuff but also some amazing stuff, thankfully seems to be in better hand with Triple H (though i'am really not fan of his work as a booker) because in 2017-2022 when Vince McMahon was doing his bullshit this was absolutely awful and unwatchable with some incomprehensible, illogical and STUPID booking decisions until a point you can't watch it with people not really into wrestling (the kind of persons who watch when they have the time or there's nothing else to watch you know) without being cringed, it was one of the worst period in WWE history quality standpoint. The 2015-2016 is one of my personal favorite period of this promotion, maybe because it's back when i got back into wrestling but there also was some memorable storylines and matches that we still talk about nowadays. Every period has its up and downs, we had Jeff Hardy winning his first WWE championship but we also had Katie Vick, we had the rivalry between Stone Cold and Vince McMahon but we also had a rivalry between Reigns and Corbin where Roman Reigns ate dog food, we had Daniel Bryan winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 30 but we also had Val Venis feuding with Yakuzas. Now the product has improved since Vince McMahon left the booking management but i still find it stale because most thing seem predictable. This promotion will always be beloved and hated but one thing is sure is that most of wrestling fans wouldn't be what they are without WWE and even if WWE doesn't longer suit with me, i recognize that without this promotion i won't be the wrestling fan i'am now.

9223.01.2024BruceMarcos5245.0WWE is a polarizing company to review. I know it has some great moments, but it also has some bad moments. There are a lot of problems on this product. Examples are questionable booking, hot potato title reigns, part-timer champion, failed to push new talents, unnecessary releases, backstage politics, cheap nostalgia, etc. When WCW folded in 2001, WWE became the only dominant wrestling company. Unfortunately, it brought the worst of the company especially when WWE turned into PG. Many of the wrestling fans stopped watching because of the absurdity of the content. WWE hasn't been the same since the Attitude Era, the fun and magic of wrestling was gone. Some of the bookings were trying to insult our intelligence. It seems that the product doesn't care about quality but profit. Glad that there are emerging wrestling promotions out there to provide an alternative to wrestling fans in case WWE failed to meet our expectations. Surely WWE is the bigger platform for wrestler's exposure but the problem with treating their talent is what I am concerned of. At least, Triple H created his pet project, NXT, and somehow became watchable because of indie wrestling feel to it. I don't know if I'm going to have faith on somehow the company will improve, as I am waiting for the last 15 years to improve. Look, I'm not hating the product, I just want the WWE to be great also since it is the largest wrestling company in the world. Good thing when Triple H took over in 2022, the wrestling has somehow improved a little bit. And in terms of creating moments and amazing video packages, WWE provides it.
