Interview with Sara Elektra

Cagematch: Hi Sara, thank you for your time, to answere some questions.

Sara Elektra: No problem, its always fun to participate in interviews.

CM: Where did you learn Wrestling? How would you describe that time a few years later?

So, I received the basic training for wrestling in Fight Club Finland. In the beginning it was rather intense and challenging, I feel like I received a very solid base for wrestling during the training period. I also have to give a big shout out to all the trainers for being so patient with me, I bet it felt like trying to teach a simple trick to a mentally challenged donkey!

Like I mentioned, it gave me a very solid base, but I also have to thank every single opponent I have had over the years. Every match is a lesson and teaches you something new. That's why everyone you ever get to wrestle with, is playing an important role in your development process as a wrestler and should not be taken for granted!

CM: You took your first steps in Finland. What is typical for the finish wrestling scene? Are there differences to the rest of Europe?

Now that I have travelled a little bit and seen the wrestling scenes all around Europe, I can't really put my finger on something that would make Finnish wrestling scene much different from the rest of the Europe. I think every promotion, no matter where they are located, has their own thing that they like to do and what makes them shine the brightest amongst the others.

CM: In the last two years, you wrestled in Germany a few times. Do the fans in Germany react to your character or person different than in your homecountry?

Hahahahah, indeed they do, since in Finland I am fairly liked by fans and they will look through their fingers if I will push the rules a bit to guarantee my victory! In Germany however, the fans seem more like a jury in court. What is up with that?!?!!
Germans tend to be so uptight. Though I understand a bit, going from the status of a respected country into being the b****h of Europe must be really nasty. I would like to remind though, that it is not my fault and if it's someone's fault, it is the members of the audience. Honestly Germany, get a grip of yourself. Love the adult entertainment though, keep up the good work on that one!

CM: Now you're the first GWP Women's Champ. What does it mean to you, getting crowned the first Champion?

Being the very first Women's Champion is a huge honor, I can not find words to describe the feelings of winning over the title. So far though it means that I was the best once. As delighted as I am of my title and the victory, I must focus on the next title defence. I want to keep my title and I want to stay on top. This is why I think it was more than smart to join forces in "The Network". Having a stable with you has never worked out badly for anyone, right?!

CM: Your boyfriend Jimmy Gavroche is a wrestler too. How does this affect your relationship? Would it be easier to have a "non-wrestling-friend" or do you both benefit from this fact?

Hahah, I wouldn't trade my lovely French Fries with special mayo for a million bucks. Maybe for like a Big Mac and a case of Coca-Cola. But only in an extreme situation!
It is nothing but a win-win situation for both of us to be together. Having someone strong enough to support you with your dreams and goals in your life is extremely important. Even better when you can physically do something to help your loved one, like when we have from time to time offered each other help inside the ring.
Outside the ring it's working smoothly as well and I am afraid that a non-wrestler would have a hard time understanding and taking the subtle hint of smacking them in the back with a chair or RKO'ing them when they forgot to do the dishes!

Also, it's great because wrestler's understand that hip pain, joint ache and other old people problems do occur in a fairly young age and just because you have to suffer with that, take your multi-vitamins and go to bed at 21:00, they will convince you that you are still a rockstar!

CM: What are your goals for the future?

My goals for the future would be such things as keeping my title and focusing on "The Network" at the GWP. I think we can achieve great things and I can not wait to see what our team work can achieve.
Outside of that, I will focus more on travelling and I will expand my knowledge and physical skills in wrestling. Better keep things fresh to keep your opponents on their toes!

CM: The most important questions comes last: How often do you have to colour your hair? :)

Hahahahah, that's a fairly good question and I have to say, that I am a bit lazy when it comes to that! My hair is not always so fabulously full of color as it is on the wrestling events.
Usually I still do color it atleast once a month, on a good season every week I will add a little bit of color and every two months I will color the roots. Shocking fact that I have to color the roots, but my hair did not get the memo and refuses to turn green naturally.

With this, I would like to thank Cagematch and I hope that I will see all the german fans in the next event.
