Beschreibung

Der Tag Team Gürtel der ECW wurde im Juni 1992 das erste Mal ausgefochten und ist der Titel, der im Laufe der ECW-Geschichte am häufigsten die Besitzer wechselte. Auch dieser Gürtel wurde 1994 zum "World Title" gemacht. Mit acht Titelregentschaften sind die Dudley Boyz die eindeutigen Rekordhalter, doch auch bekannte Teams wie Public Enemy und die Eliminators konnten sich in die glorreiche Geschichte des Titels einreihen.

Nachdem bereits Paul Heyman, der Besitzer der ECW, im Februar 2001 einen Vertrag bei der WWF unterschrieben hatte, hämmerte die finale Bankrotterklärung am 10. April 2001 den letzten Nagel in den Sarg von Extreme Championship Wrestling.
