Hangman's just always seemed to be steeped in charisma and ability and Joey was on best form tonight, bumping and diving as well as he ever does. The thing with the boots is silly but it's established in the video package beforehand so like... whatever? I loved the powerbomb off the stage. [3.5]"
[8.0] ""His boots are literally talking to him." That's a throwback memory for sure haha. Commentary is great on this, fleshing out the mindsets and conditioning of both wrestlers, like Page just finishing up the taxing G1, etc, and explaining some of the sillier stuff like Page's boots and the telephone. Match gets going quickly as Page chucks Janela into a chair. There's some shenanigans with the Cracker Barrel barrel, and lord is Page just laying in his lariats in this one. The ladder spots both had me sweating during the set ups but ended up looking pretty safe in execution thankfully. I will say Janela's clothesline down the ramp looked like he was running to the bathroom rather than to hit another human being. Best match of the PPV by far up to that point."
[8.0] "Absolute insanity. These two threw everything out there and ended with a spot that I still think about to this day. To even consider a Rite of Passage off of a ladder and through the tables is absurd, let alone to actually go out and execute it to perfection. The fact that we got to see how criminally underrated Penelope Ford in was just the icing on the cake. Obviously, there are some issues with this match not aging well in obvious respects, but the two competitors were great in what they did. Adam Page and Joey Janela delivered a show-stealing performance. 4 stars, 8 out of 10."
[7.0] "This was a pretty wild street fight that had a handful of seriously ridiculous spots (the ending with a Rite of Passage from a ladder through a table was just insane). Page looked great, Janela showed off his willingness to destroy his body, and Penelope Ford got in some fun moments too. Everything involving Joey Ryan was super cringy though, and it left a horrible stain on the match as a whole. ***1/2"
[8.0] "This was definitely the best match so far in the show. Including the cracker barrel made it an especially memorable Chicago Street Fight. The boots stuff is silly but was very over from Being The Elite at the time. Joey took some crazy bumps in this as well."
[8.0] "Joey takes the nastiest bumps in wrestling so of course he was going to destroy himself on this show. Hangman was great as well here, this was an awesome hardcore match. The postmatch hasn't aged well."
[6.0] "A fun hardcore match. These two beat the hell out of each other, and some of the spots in this match were heartstoppingly scary. There were also several uncommon weapons used which made this feel more unique. I would have rated this higher if it wasn't for the Joey Ryan ending, the worst part of the show."
[8.0] "A great street fight, without a doubt it was the best up to that point in the whole PPV, it was a joy to watch these two hitting each other with all kinds of stuff, very entertaining and aggressive."

Both are bound to become future stars so long as neither gets badly injured. The Penelope Ford spots don't really hold up as well as I'd hoped but it's a story and end fitting for something crafted solely from Being The Elite. My pick for Match of the Night. ****1/4"
[7.0] "Solid brawl with some cool spots. Joey Janela impressed me a lot in this match, while Page continued to improve as a wrestler. Even the interference by Penelope Ford was done well. The tie-ins to BTE was also done nicely, as Ford brought in boots to mess with Page's mind and Page brought out a telephone cord to use as a weapon. ***1/2"

I wasn't too thrilled with the 8 penises at the end and the angle could have been done without it, but it was a fitting ending to the BTE story. ****1/4"

The violence and crazy spots were creative and well executed, each spot more ridiculous than the last, boots were talking, Penelope was awesome and Riccoboni constantly plugging cracker barrel on commentary throughout much to the chagrin of Callis made the spectacle even more enjoyable."
[8.0] "Uh yea, this match was downright insane. Everyone already figured it would be but these two went above and beyond to prove how bat shit crazy they really are. Janela almost died a couple times in this match, which isn't anything new, but at least he looked good doing so. Hangman continues to look like a star more and more with this psychotic performance he put in against Janela. Looking to hurt the man in any way, shape, or form. A pure street fight down to its very core. ****1/4"

[10.0] "I thought this was nuts enough to deserve a 10, some absolutely looney spots. I'm not really into the post match Joey Ryan stuff, but the match itself delivered and I thought Janela really looked like a star."
[8.0] "So much of this match had me genuinely worried about these guys. Like, they did some really messed up stuff to each other. The burning hammer onto the ladder, that powerbomb off the stage that looked really close to being botched but still turned out awesome, the dive through the table on the outside, and then Rite of Passage off the ladder, through a table for the win. Wow was this an insane spotfest. Penelope too looked goddamn amazing, and I haven't really heard of her before this. I will definitely look into her matches in the future. If I'm being honest, I could've used a bit more straight up weapon shots, and maybe a blade job, but that was just because I was in the mood for some hardcore (I don't really know why I wanted that, I hate that style of wrestling. But the heart wants what it wants I guess) Still an awesome match, a great introduction into Joey Janela for me, and I even loved that ridiculous segment after the match. ****"

[9.0] "An incredible brawl that didn't hold back on anything. Both men (even Penelope! ) came out of this match looking bad ass. For fans who may not be familiar with Hangman and especially Joey this was an awesome introduction. ****"
[6.0] "Irgendwie hat mich das Match nicht so richtig abgeholt. Ja, die Spots sind teilweise verrückt wie sonstwas und definitiv für mehr als einen Holy Shit Moment gut. Aber das Pacing des Matches, inklusive gefühlt sehr viel "Bob der Baumeister"-Action für den Aufbau der Spots, hat mich doch gestört. Eine Burning Hammer Variation durch eine Leiter, die Powerbomb von der Rampe durch die Tische und natürlich Page mit dem Rite of Passage von der Leiter durch einen Tisch sind mehr als nur derbe. Aber das macht noch kein erstklassiges Hardcore Match aus. Ja, das Drumherum stimmte, aber etwas mehr flow hätte dem Match gut getan. So war es eine wahnsinnige Spotshow, die aber außerhalb der Spots aber nicht so recht aus dem Arsch kam."

I respect others opinions but this may have been the best match on the card. I don't give stars but if i did it's 5* Go out of your way to watch this."

Page und Janela knüppeln sich alles um die Ohren was sie finden können und vollenden dies dann mit einem Rite of Passage von einer Leiter ! Der Kram um Page´s Stiefel passt in die Story, aber ist natürlich sehr wacky. Eben wie auch der Post Match return von Joey Ryan. *** 3/4"
