[5.0] "The problem with this shoot promo for me is that he made way too many insider references and doesn't really make it clear to the average fan who he's taking shots at. Basically his promo was a like a Jim Cornette one but not as articulate."

[10.0] "Another 10 CM Punk promo, nothing new. Because theyve been trying to kill me since the day I was born is one of the best line he has said and literally everything else said after Ace Steel came out was perfection, emotional and raw. Can't name a better combo than CM Punk and Chicago."

[10.0] "Really fun opening promo and I loved the fourth wall kayfabe breaking where they showed the infamous "Curtain Call" incident on Raw for the first time. Triple H and HBK are hilarious throughout this and it's another essential Attitude era segment. Bret's part where he interrupted the promo wasn't his finest moment it has to be said."

[10.0] "Holy shit, I think everything about this promo is beautiful. Both in how it's delivered and its sitting. The promo itself is very akin to the Cane Dewey promo of Mick Foley, in how its about the opponent is trying to win the love and respect of the audience, facing the crowd of negativity, and the person being bewildered and frustrated as to how they can just do that to themselves. Especially bewildered and frustrated because of their own experience with that same crowd. Eddie showing how they just can't understand it, to the point of it bringing him to a mental low and violent point. All of this while surrounded in the rain. Holy cow what a good one."

[] "I dont think Ive ever heard louder boos. After delivering one of the greatest promos of his career (and thats saying A LOT), Hot Rod gets attacked by Jericho in one of the most sickening displays youll ever see. I wanted to go through my TV screen and give him a taste of his own medicine. His heel run during this time was sooooo good."

[3.0] "This was really uncomfortable, frankly. In terms of the promo deliverance, it was done fine and Piper has chemistry. And don't get me wrong, I love when a promo is just dunking on Vince Russo the entire time. But Jesus, where do you begin? Accusing Vince Russo of having a part of what happened to Owen Hart is something that shouldn't be in the show. The moment he says that, the crowd just goes quiet, and the rest of the promo is just in this really weird space that I don't think you could ever replicate."

I'll admit, I know these kinds of shoot promos are objectively shit, and trust me this one isn't really that good at all, but god this one is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's one of those promos that really bad but you can't help but listen to it every now and then. For real though, this is all complete horse shit, even if its accurate in regards to Hogan's politicking. A prime example of how Vince Russo never put the blame on himself and instead putting blame on everyone around him, and this promo did nothing to help WCW at all. Believe it or not, constantly telling everyone in the crowd its all scripted and whatnot day in and day out is not a good idea."

[8.0] "This promo made Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley's WrestleMania match must-see, from Ripley saying "I want you to listen to her call me 'Mami'" to Becky confronting Rhea about her taking an advantage of her looks and using it to get attention on social media, the sucker punch to Dom, so much happened and it all was glorious."

[3.0] "I had the displeasure of watching this promo for the first time yesterday, besides the lines being pretty bad in general, you can see Randy's reluctance to release the last line. Cowardly way to generate heat, but coming from Vince's head it doesn't even surprise me. Even without the infamous closing line, promo well below Randy and Rey was never a good talker"

[10.0] "Absolutely one of the most essential moments in Raw history that would pretty much define the entire Attitude Era! Vince McMahon was not yet the heel character he was most famous for being, but this was the very beginning of one of the hottest feuds in wrestling history. Austin's line delivery before the stunner was perfect!"

[10.0] "They seemed to have legitimately fun during this. All of them won the mic battle, I would rewatch this promo time after time after time. Punk had some nice shots, but sometimes he seemed to randomly call for the support of Chicago crowd to answer Drew words. The scottish is on god mode in this moment. Rollins talked only to Punk even if McIntyre was his WM opponent, but delivers some strong lines. The idea of Punk involved in their match for the title added more interest (the part of CM Punk counting with his left arm is hilarious)."

[7.0] "Nice reference to the viral video of Rhea's Sticky Face. it's a good segment to build their upcoming match, and I feel like throwing The Man's daughter into this was a good shot by Rhea, that gave the opportunity to Becky to explode and to show her aggressivity."

Of course he will have to wait for Punk to recover from the injury, and in the meanwhile they have to mantain this attitude which is perfect for him. He shows all of the anger he has after the loss of the WHC the night before. Very good segment."

[10.0] "One of the best segments in Raw history. It starts with Heyman accusing Zayn and trying of setting him up, then Reigns energizes the scene, gets mad at Sami for not bringing a defence and orders Solo to finish him. The scene of Jey saving Zayn from the execution is memorable (let's remember that he was the first one to doubt Sami). We should think of the canadian like the babyface in a stable of heel, that's why the crowd could empathize with him, that's why everybody was happy when they decide to spare him. This is the peak of the stable's history, the full history of this is absolutely 10/10."

And when she talked japanese I lost it, it was shocking. Great turn face who made a lot of fan remember about Batista's in 2005. Really appreciated the ending where Bayley is not sure about hitting Iyo and lets her get away."

[8.0] "Absolutely love the fact that Solo has finally a voice and talks. Without Reigns and Rock, he's now free to become the most important person of this stable, aiming for the Tribal Chief position. Loved seeing him taking action against his brother's failure and outstand Heyman (so Reigns)'s orders. Curious about Tonga, never saw him anywhere. Is Solo acting on his own? Is he following Rock's orders? We don't know, and I absolutely wants to see more."

Over two year of waiting, of making people care about him and all throwed in the garbage because of the return of the part timer The Rock that once again steals the spot of a younger worker. It made no sense that the winner of the Rumble gave his titled match, especially because in the same promo he said that he wanted the WWE title held by Reigns, It did not have a logic."

Randy can do well by speaking like an elitist pain in the you know where but one thing is we know Eddie isnt in. How does it even make sense by burying Eddie like he was all but perfect because somehow he was. This storyline based from the royal rumble in 2006 was inspiring to hype up Wrestlemania in tribute of Eddie Guerrero, almost for not cause of a mad man with geeks from sports center cast coach. Sorry, awful promo on a hit and miss Smackdown."

[0.0] "The prime example of eddiesploitation, one of first of many times where his name was brought up either by a face or a heel, and this is probably the worst of the bunch. As mentioned in the notes, Eddie Guerrero only passed away two months prior. Way too fucking early to even dare to use such tragic death of one of the most beloved wrestlers of all time, so much so everyone involved outside of Vince McMahon felt uncomfortable by it. What is with Vince and WWE feeling like they need to mention someone's death for cheap heat, sometimes even without the consent from family members? It's fucking absurd how they have done this time and time again."

[10.0] "Mustafa Ali is on such a run and this promo bring so much passion out, he needs a belt collector run now honestly. Even if he goes back to WWE one day or wherever he goes in the future, the last 4 months has shown not only how good he is as a wrestler but as a character."

Pepsi Phil once again subverted my expectations , braking every dumb rule Vincent brought upon this buisness. [0.0] "A fairly bland confrontation up until the infamous line at the end. You can tell that Randy doesn't want to say it. Not the worst thing said or done in a wrestling ring, but this was pretty low. A gross, cheap way to get heat on Randy that really didn't do anything to elevate his feud with Rey. 0/10"

17:41
[4.0] "Promo's fine. Obviously the Eddie stuff got heat as they planned, but if you actually watch the full thing it's just a bizarre experience. Orton's giving these super heelish lines and the crowd are basically subdued for most of it. Even the crazy awful edgy lines get boos, but nowhere near anything worthwhile. It's more uninterested boos until Rey kicks the guy in the balls. Is it poor taste? Sure, definitely not well-thought out either, but the version that people have in their heads (Orton saying it and just omega nuclear heat from the crowd right afterwards) just never really exists in reality. It just comes across as a weak attempt to keep coasting on Eddie's death to push Rey more-so than anything truly heinous like with Punk doing the shtick with Bearer's ashes against Undertaker. Sure the implication is awful, I just never really seen why this of all things was given the infamy it quite frankly never deserved. There's WAY fucking worse than a throwaway line in a equally forgettable feud."

[10.0] "THIS was it. This reversed Cody being a cuck and an absolute idiot by giving his hard earned spot to The Rock, as well as built for both main events at the same time. Roman took shots at Cody by calling his dad irrelevant while Cody called members of his Bloodline lackeys and yes men. The MVP of this entire segment however was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He saw how visibly the people were not happy with what was given to them, caused the WWE to pivot from their original plans due to the #WeWantCody movement, and decided to turn heel by siding with The Bloodline and slapping Cody Rhodes. Soon after slapping Cody, Seth Rollins, who was the least active member in this entire segment, buried all his dislike of Cody due to the presence of an even bigger threat being Rock and Roman, the first ever instance where he acted as Cody's shield."

[8.0] "A good promo between Becky and Rhea to build up their WrestleMania match, where Rhea acknowledged her social media simps and struck a nerve with Becky by mentioning her daughter. Becky responded by speaking from the heart about her daughter and her late father."

[10.0] "The start of the highly beloved time period in the WWF known as "The Attitude Era! " Say what you want about Vince McMahon (may agree with your sentiment), but this prom is significant and a damn good one."

01:58
[7.0] "Good segment. With Roman taking time off after losing the title, The Bloodline is in disarray, to the point where they were kicked out of their own locker room. Heyman's line to Solo about losing having consequences would come back to haunt him. Solo would fill the void left by Roman's absence to take control, kicking Jimmy out with a debuting Tama Tonga coming in as his right hand man. Heyman cowering in the corner while Jimmy got destroyed was classic. This was a great way to kick off the Bloodline Civil War, with plenty of storyline twists and turns to come. 7/10"
4216.04.2024
01:02
[10.0] "The segment that saved WWE from itself. Cody Rhodes had won the Royal Rumble again, he was set to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for another shot at the title, then The Rock shows up and stole that opportunity. Nobody wanted that and thankfully WWE was smart enough to lean into the anger, changing their own plans to craft what would turn out to be one of the best storylines in a very long time. The Rock showing off the family tree and going into detail why he should be the one to face Roman out of respect for their bond was a great way to set up what would happen next. Cody saying that Roman's and Rock's grandfathers would be ashamed of Roman for what he's doing was the last straw for Rock. The Rock slapping Cody and the ensuing chaos was so well done. Instantly the battle lines were drawn and sides were taken. The Rock's run as The Final Boss from here was incredible, it helped carry a fantastic build and payoff to WrestleMania XL. 10/10"

[7.0] "The storyline here is interesting, Im enjoying the continuation of the Bloodline Civil War through Solo bringing in Tonga and kicking out Jimmy in a brutal display but I dont think Solos a strong enough performer to sell the brutality of this properly. Great Heyman promo at the start, wouldve been excited to see what happened if he wasnt interrupted."
4415.04.2024
22:13
[8.0] "I was in attendance for this promo, and the fans seemed more on Rhea Ripley's side than they were Becky Lynch's (maybe they're simps as pointed out in the promo), but Lynch did get them back when she spoke passionately about her daughter and her late father. All proved in vain though at WrestleMania. A very good promo in its own right, but on the same show as the Cody Rhodes/Rock confrontation and the three way Punk/Drew/Seth promo, this felt a bit behind."

[8.0] "Only three things that make me not give this a 10 is Seth Rollins role in this story before he revealed on RAW why he wanted to fight The Bloodline. It was so forced and the only reason behind it was just making the Tag match to make this story look bigger; the fact this didn't hit me as much as other promos like the "Ucey" one, the trial of Sami Zayn or the Punk/Rollins/McIntyre tirade; and how Cody Rhodes, all of a sudden, changes his mind (actually, for the better, but everything they did with him prior to this event made him the dumbest guy in the world). Anything else was just perfect. The Rock's heel work as The Final Boss as been superb. The way he reads the room and adapts to the situation with so much ease is indescribable. He made the entire segment mean something, while Seth and Roman were mere supporters and Cody entered to take the spotlight as the hero and bring out the hyprocrisy of Dwayne."

[5.0] "What a way to open your first ever show up with basically saying this company sucks and the NWA Title Battle Royal sucks too, That's defenitely gonna help wrestling fans love TNA. What an odd promo, It was like the writers voiced their opinion or something like that."
4915.04.2024
14:55
[8.0] "A great segment that's taken a few notches down due to incosistencies within the whole thing. I don't think they needed to explained what happened at WM 39 and just talk about WrestleMania 40 and take a few hints and Solo turning on Jimmy seemed hypocritical considering Solo Sikoa himself has been on a losing streak so him kicking Jimmy out for "losing" makes no sense. Tama Tonga's debut was a shocker and I'm excited to see what he does."

13:58
[8.0] "This was the moment Adam Pearce went from the lamest and most boring GM in wrestling history to someone that actually makes himself respected. He was just a "yes man", doing anything Roman Reigns, Ronda or any big time player wanted and not showing any real leadership or personality as a boss until this, until he was sick and tired of Ronda doing whatever she wanted. Best thing Adam Pearce ever did as GM. After this, well, he is not as lame as he was before, but still isn't in the same authority level of guys like Teddy Long, Nick Aldis or William Regal."

[8.0] "This was really good. The bloodline arc continues without Sami, Roman or The Rock and it still looks promising. I am very interested to see how this goes and changing Solo's character was a very good choice."

[9.0] "Solo Sikoa needed this so much. He finally got a personality and he's not an NPC enforcer anymore. Now he's calling the shots as the loss of the one thing that made The Bloodline the greatest force in wrestling today had to mean something. He brings a friend of the family, the son of Haku, the Bullet Club OG Tama Tonga as his new ally in this new crusade, first getting rid of the weakest link of The Bloodline, his own brother Jimmy. The many paths this could take, the fact they managed to bring back to life a story that was getting stale since last year in such force, with the now confirmed signing of the "Samoan Werewolf" Jacob Fatu being an indicator of being another member of Solo's regime and the rumors of a civil war with a reunion of The Usos, a face turn for Roman, even adding Sami Zayn to the mix in another epic feud. I'm really hyped for this. Paul Heyman's performance here was amazing, his acting was great and the way his role is now turned to be a kidnapped and constantly threatened wiseman is so interesting. I'd love that WWE put this same level of creativity with other stories, because this is a complete masterpiece."

[10.0] "The start of the big story of Mania 40, never think a Press Conference would interest me, but it's real feeling, the presentation, the stars, and to show their willing to give the fans what they want puts this a perfect ten. Having Rock turned heel when he was such a boring babyface creating the greatest babyface of this gen with Cody, it's so fascinating to turn a bad decision to a king maker. Feeling like it's real with the intensity, the extras with the GMs and HHH, the unhinge anger and Cody winning the main audience is just incredible. Seth, Cody, Rock, and Roman did their role, and this help turn Wrestlemania 40 to one of the best Manias of all time. Incredible pivot and incredible emotion, made an incredible experience."
5415.04.2024
05:49
[10.0] "I consider it easily one of the best/most important segments of 2024. Not only it saved us from Rock vs. Roman singles match and from having to wait another year for Cody to finish his story, it also gave us "The Final Boss" version of The Rock and a shocking moment of him slapping Rhodes. I'm glad WWE managed to address media's reaction and decided to pivot - that way it turned from potentially unwatchable feud between two cousins (with Rock being a babyface) to a rivalry with insane dynamics, like Rock ruling everything and abusing his power, Cody forming an alliance with a former opponent in Seth, Roman getting more paranoid because of Rock taking the spotlight from him, etc. This is a must-watch segment for any WWE viewer/fan."
5515.04.2024
04:09
[10.0] "I feel like Brock went off script here which was great, and the responses he got from Joe made the promo even better. I like the fact that this involved Roman too it was a great build up for Summerslam."

02:04
[10.0] "I remember when this segment first happened, I wasn't interested since I thought WWE was dead set on having The Rock vs Roman Reigns for the main event of WrestleMania. But, once I heard what went down, I decided to give it a watch. And, let me tell you, I'm so glad what I expected came out to be dead wrong. This segment is incredibly important to the Cody Rhodes/Roman Reigns (and The Rock) rivalry. The Rock pulling off a successful heel turn in the process, Cody Rhodes taking back giving up his spot for The Rock, the slap heard around the world, feeling like it's a legitimate argument and fight going on, the jabs at each other's family's, and Cody coming out saying "This, this right here is bullshit! " had me dying. Even if you took out the swearing (which I don't get why people think promos get praised for using curse words), this is a brilliant promo and immediately rejuvenated everyone's (including yours truly) interest in WrestleMania XL. So thank you Rock for not being selfish, as usual, and ended up making this feud bigger than it already was."

[10.0] "This was one of the most awaited segments ever. What happened in this segment determined whether WWE would abandon their 2 year story due to the Rock or continue it. The slap at the end lead to what was an incredible 2 months of Cody/Rollins v Rock and Roman."
5914.04.2024
18:41
[10.0] "The hype around this particular segment was astronomical. This was the deciding factor of wether WWE would fuck up a 2 year storyline or listen to all the backlash worldwide and reverse their decision. We all tuned in for that one decision, but did things take a massive fucking turn. Literally after so many years, I said a "HOLY FUCK" out loud when that slap happened. People may say that The Rock ain't a versatile actor, but goddamn did he raise the tension in the fucking room with his visible anger. A very strong start to one of the biggest storylines, and probably one of the best payoffs in professional wrestling. This was the promo where we got the first glimpse of the Final Boss, and started the whole Cody/Rock saga. Never did I think that I'd be so intrigued by a press conference but they did an awesome fucking job."

Barely described his turn on Legacy and why he is scummy/mean to the WWE Universe. He should had spinned it around saying it was you who took my dad away from me, it was you who made him buy all those expensive lavishing suits, it was you that took my childhood and now im gonna take yours and your adulthood to go with it. He went with a generic approach and delivered like someone in the back telling him to. Zero out of Zero."

[10.0] "I absolutely love that Sami took this opportunity to use The Judgement Day's domination of Monday Night Raw as an allegory for a much larger, more sinister real-world political force. It's subtle enough that you can take it at face value, and it'll still be effective, but it's definitely there and makes the promo so much stronger when viewed through that lens. His delivery is excellent, pure passion, and Rhea has great chemistry with him."

[5.0] "As much as I love Randy and Rhea, neither of them put their best foot forward here. Randy's motivations for wanting to take down the Bloodline are muddy and unclear, with his promo more concerned with hitting catchphrases and popping the crowd rather than furthering any angle. It gets a little better with Rhea's involvement, but it's very much your typical "the Judgement Day run Raw" promo we've heard 1000 times already."

Hangman Page came out but didn't get any promo time despite being the winner of the battle royal. MJF, instead, came out and delivered one of his weakest promos to this date. Really lame and boring schtick from him. We also got introduced to Jimmy Havoc and Jungle Boy who, alongside Hangman, beat up MJF. Bret Hart, then, showed to the fans the (beautiful) World title in a pretty underwhelming moment. The segment definitely didn't have to be that long altough it kind of served its purpose of introducing talents that we only saw in the pre-show. Still not good enough, though. 5/10"

[7.0] "Not Cody's finest work on the mic. I didn't get much out of all the mother stuff; it felt forced to me when Cody did it because he's a face and can't say anything too mean. It was livened up by Heyman's involvement towards the end, who could be cutting a promo where he reads the phone book and makes it entertaining."

[7.0] "This short promo here is way better than the one Max cut at Double or Nothing the month before. It's simple but well delivered with a couple of really funny lines. The mom line was hilarious and the videogame/virginity line with the camera cutting perfectly on the sad look of the guy in the crowd was just top notch. Textbook stuff, very simple schtick but it works in presenting MJF as the arrongant prick he is with the crowd already hating him. 7/10"

[10.0] "Coming after that wonderful war between Dustin and Cody, this promo serves as somewhat of reconciliation between the two brothers. Cody has left the ring and Dustin is taking off his boots, sign that he wants to retire. However Cody gets back in the ring and stops him. He gets a microphone and says that he needs a partner to fight the Young Bucks for Fight for the Fallen. But he doesn't needs a partner or a friend, he needs his older brother. And the two embrace with the crowd chanting Dusty. What a moment! It always sends shivers down my spine and makes tear up. Cody's delivery of that final line is also iconic. Amazing stuff. 10/10"

[10.0] "Moxley debuting in AEW back in 2019 was the true needle mover that, for me, established AEW as a real alternative for WWE. It proved that AEW wasn't just t-shirt company and made many people realize AEW was the place to go. Moxley could've gone anywhere he wanted, he had the resumate to do it but he decided to bet on this up-and-coming promotion. Moxley, in this promo, is fired up immediately after throwing Kenny Omega off the chips at DoN and cuts a tremendous promo that pretty much excels in everything. It's short and straight to the point and delivered with passion. He says that he is alive and that for the first time, after a very long time, he is breathing fresh air. He says that he came to AEW to reclaim his soul and change this buisness. He also declares war to anybody who will stand in his way or in AEW's way. The "We ain't reading history books, we write them" line is iconic and the final "This is what you call a Paradigm Shift" is simply perfect. In retrospective, knowing what Mox has done for the company since then, this was indeed a paradigm shift that changed the history of AEW and of professional wrestling in the last years. 10/10"

[10.0] "Punk and Drew may be the company's hottest rivalry right now; this is the perfect showcase. Two of the absolute best talkers in the game verbally spar with each other seemingly unscripted. The lines they come up with are great digs, genuinely hilarious at times, and sell the feud perfectly. Even Seth's involvement towards the end doesn't interrupt things, as he manages to help get the best out of the two and doesn't come out with anything particularly cringe-worthy."

It's just three of the greatest talker having a debate, and it was always fun to see where this end. The story of Drew, Seth, and Cody were all shown here and we didn't realize where it truly went."

[10.0] "If everything had gone right, this would still have been a goofy segment, but probably would've been forgotten fairly quickly. But Shockmaster tripping and falling through the wall brought this into the realm of legend. From the fall itself, to how it sent everything else off the rails - Davey Boy breaking character, to Sid refusing to break character, to even Ole cracking up on-mic at the beginning of the Shockmaster's lines, it has to be one of the most unintentionally hilarious segments ever in wrestling. It goes a long way to proving the idea that when wrestling is good it's good, and when it's bad it's still good. From any tangible metric, this was a complete failure, but because I can't think of many wrestling segments I've gotten more pure entertainment value from, I really can't justify giving it any lower rating."

[10.0] "With the promo for what would indeed turn out to be his final match, Regal accomplishes so much - not just promoting the match itself, but also reflecting on the successes and failures of his own career, setting up for his impending retirement, and strongly putting over his opponent as virtually unbeatable. As it goes on he goes through a range of emotions, from wistful reflection, to coping with his impossible task, to a final rally of determination, to finally accepting and even liking his fate. The line about how he needs "a miracle - and that's not coming to a faithless old villain like myself" gets me every time. An absolute masterclass and easily on my personal shortlist of all-time favorite promos."

[10.0] "Such an incredible promo, with genuinely the only negative part about this is that its related to one of the biggest dropped balls of all time. I remember watching his interview on Inside the Ropes about this promo, and how it's one thing to just shoot in a promo, but another to actually tie it all into story line. Paulie is quite literally one of the best of all time when it comes to something like this, and he does it beautifully here. Also, it's just really fun to see people get to say whatever they want to Vince without facing the consequences, because genuinely fuck him."

Despite it's length, conveys all of McIntyre's emotions after losing his world title so quickly. I seriously can't wait for Drew McIntyre and CM Punk's rivalry when Punk's officially clear for in ring."

There's a lot to critique and dissect in regards to The Fiend, Lord knows people have, but I think here, in this moment, Bray started something beautiful and fully, perfectly realized."

McIntyre is so pissed his long awaited moment was ruined by Punk and Bondage Undertaker (fucking genius) and he came out to crying about it and swearing some revenge on both men, specially Punk. I don't know about you, but I'd love to eventually see a Triple Threat of Punk, Drew and Rollins, and also a 1 on 1 match between Punk and McIntyre giving how things are happening."

It's rambly nonsense in an old school, fuck-it-we'll-do-it-live sort of way, but it's so funny and has enough insanity to it that I can forgive its repetition and padding near the end."

There is some poisonous part of me that wants to give a slightly higher score because I think it lead to a more interesting story for Cody, but that's far too much credit to give this. I don't think I have anything else to say that you haven't already heard--this is a famously bad segment and deserves the ridicule its received."
