As a matter of fact if anybody should be held responsible for what happend to Shawn Michaels' wife Rebecca at SummerSlam it should be Shawn Michaels himself. I did not... Shawn Michaels knew exactly what he was doing when he came into this ring last night. He knew he was walking away, he knew he was announcing that he was done for good, but instead of doing things in a classy way and making his announcing by sending in a letter of resignation or a video, he had to do things the HBK way.

He wanted to see his name in lights one more time. "Shawn Michaels' big announcement" is what it said on the big marquee at SummerSlam, he wanted to come out and placate his ego one last time. See all of your faces, hear all of cheering, watch you as you begged him and pleaded with him to please not give up. Shawn, please don't go home, please don't give up. And as a result all of you are responsible for what happend to Rebecca Michaels as well. And you should be ashamed of yourselves for that.

But ultimately it's Shawn Michaels that's to blame. Because all Shawn had to do was look me in the eye and and say face to face 'Chris Jericho, you were the one who ended my career. You were the one who gave me the eye injury that forced me to stay home for good'. But he didn't do that and look what happens. If he just would have shown one ounce of humility and modesty for the first time in his career all of this would have been avoided, but he didn't. And now look what happend.

Shawn, your career is over. And even though you brazenly braged of all your accomplishments and accolades, all your nicknames from the Showstopper to Mr. WrestleMania, The Heartbreak Kid H B K, all that matters is the last moment of your career, the last moment you ever spent in this ring was cradling the head of your injured wife and knowing that you were the one who is responsible for it. It's a terrible thing, Shawn.

It's the truth. You have tarnished and trashed your career and your legacy forever. And you're gonna live with that, and your family has gonna live with that for the rest of your life. And Shawn, to be honest with you, I think you deserved it. Shawn... Shawn, you had it coming."
