CM Punk: "Let's talk about what Batista did tonight. Now he ran down and he stopped Kane from hurting me because Batista thinks he can beat me. He thinks at the Great American Bash he's just gonna roll on through and become World Heavyweight champion. You know, Todd, my entire life people have said I can't and I won't. I was never supposed to make it here in the WWE. I was never supposed to be a champion. Well, I won titles on ECW. I was never supposed to make it to the flagship show, RAW, and I made it. And then I was never supposed to be the top guy, the World Heavyweight champion and yet my name is engraved on the richest prize sports entertainment has to offer. Now everybody said I would never do it.

You know what? I'm not the biggest guy. I'm not the strongest. I'm not the fastest. And a lot of times I'm not the smartest. But with all due respect, Batista, you don't have to be 6-foot-6, and 300 pounds, and chiseled to win titles. I've already proven that. Yet somehow, I'm a fluke? No. See, at the Great American Bash, if I don't beat you I've proven everybody right. And I'm in the business of proving everybody wrong. I've done it my entire life. I've done it my entire career. And this time next week, I plan on being World Heavyweight champion. And no, I'm not you, I'm not Batista, I'm not the Animal! I'm not John Cena! I'm not the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels! I'm not Bret Hart! I'm CM Punk, World Heavyweight Champion!"
