" which is amazing. In terms of logic, kayfabe or any other metric by which wrestling's credibility or success can be measured, this promo is probably worth a 0/10. However, in terms of entertainment, this is a 10/10 promo, pure fucking gold. Giving it a 7/10 for balance, I think the entertainment mostly outweighs the complete bollocks (then again, the bollocks is the entertainment). |

The kind of cheesiness that could only come from the insane mind of Kevin Sullivan and Hulk Hogan's absolute lack of self-awareness. Why does he say "it's not hot"? Was it cold or just room-temperature? Maybe it was tepid or even lukewarm? Who knows? All we know is that for some reason Hulk Hogan thought the water was going to be hot and recoiled in shock when he realized it wasn't. It's absurdity on a level no human could possibly come up with intentionally. It's Neil Breen on acid. It's the love child of Tommy Wiseau and the guy that made Birdemic. The entire Dungeon of Doom storyline was such a fascinating display of hubris, incompetence, and corniness, and this promo was its peak. Truly a landmark promo in professional wrestling. |

Ich wundere mich auch schwer über die vielen positiven Bewertungen.. Ich meine, man kann zwar herzhaft drüber lachen, aber eigentlich doch nur weil es so übelst schlecht ist. Im Grunde ist es nur zum Kopfschütteln. Das ganze ist wirklich einfach nur inhaltsloser, abgrundtiefer Schwachsinn und war im Jahr 1995 wirklich ein Grund zu verheimlichen, daß man Wrestling ja eigentlich gut findet. Man kann hier eigentlich keinen Punkt geben - und das nicht einmal weil die Akteure schlecht waren oder so, sondern weil die ganze Storyline Dreck war. Ich gebe aber trotzdem einen Punkt, da das ganze "Dungeon Of Doom"-Stable legendär geworden ist; wenn auch im negativen Sinne. |
