"In reference to the question "What is a Yapapi? ": My theory is that (either intentionally or unintentionally) it's a mispronounciation of 'Yavapai', who are a Native American tribe from Arizona. If I'm correct then Hogan is using the term "Indian" in the outdated sense (referring to the indigenious people of the USA, rather than those from the Republic of India in South Asia) and really it should be a "Yavapai Native American strap match". Of course, none of this explains what exactly the difference is between a regular strap match and a 'Yapapi'/Yavapai one (and it's not like the match took place in Arizona either - it was in Miami at the Uncensored 2000 ppv), nor changes the fact that this promo is absolutely and completely batshit crazy."

[5.0] "Genuinely the funniest promo I've ever seen. It's a Hulkster flavored ham and cheese sandwich, and just hilarious to go back to. Highly recommend if you want a good chuckle or a spicy wrasslin' meme."

And highly informative as well: who knew besides being "the Mouth of the South" the great Jimmy Hart was also an "Indian strapmaster"? Had Hulk Hogan built his career upon promos like this he would have been at least a dozen times bigger than he became. However must detract two points from an otherwise flawless rating because I admit I am afraid to even imagine what a "Yapapi Indian Punishment Strap Number One" really is."
