[Im Main Event der Show nimmt The Rock seinen Gegner Mankind in den Sharpshooter, woraufhin der am Ring stehende Vince McMahon sofort die Glocke zum Matchende läuten lässt. Die Aktion ist nicht nur eine Anspielung auf die Survivor Series 1997, sondern auch das Finale eines dramatischen "Deadly Game"-Turniers, in dem die McMahons bis zuletzt nach außen hin Mankind als Favouriten auserkoren und auf dem Weg in's Finale geholfen haben. Während die Kommentatoren Jim Ross und Jerry Lawler, das Publikum und nicht zuletzt Mankind schockiert über die Ereignisse sind, feiern Vince und Shane McMahon zusammen mit dem neuen WWF Champion, The Rock. Nach einer herzhaften Dreifachumarmung lässt sich Vince ein Mikrofon geben.]

Vince McMahon: "I know. I know what you're saying, 'I can't believe my eyes! I don't know what's going on!' You know what? Seeing is believing... And you can believe this... [lächelt] You can believe that Vince McMahon didn't screw the people tonight. THE PEOPLE SCREWED THE PEOPLE!

And you can also, you can also believe that each and every one of you are just as pathetic and gullible... as Mankind... [deutet auf den sichtlich geschockten Mankind, während das Publikum Vince ausbuht]

I'll be happy to elaborate a great deal more tomorrow night; however, one other thing and that is, I would like to publicly state on behalf of the McMahon family that we are so proud here tonight for a number of reasons. One of them is because tonight Stone Cold was utterly, ... totally, ... royally ... SCREWED ... in this very ring. And if there is one man, if there is one man who has any more contempt for Stone Cold--other than myself--and all of you, it has to be the man who absolutely loathes and detests each and every one of you, and that is The Rock.

I congratulate you, Rock! And Shane... Shane, academy award performance!"

Shane McMahon: "Thank you. And I told the world. I told the world that, dad, I am just like you after all. AREN'T I, DAD? HA HA HA HA! WHOOOO!"

[Vince und Shane umarmen sich unter Buhrufen.]

Vince McMahon: "Alright, Rock... Rock, it's all yours." [reicht The Rock das Mikro]

The Rock: "Vince, just like last Sunday on Sunday Night HeAT when The Rock said he'd rather be the People's Ass than to ever kiss yours... Well, tonight it's time for each and every single piece of trailer park trash to kiss The Rock's! IF YOU SMELL, WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING!"

[The Rock wirft das Mikro weg, doch Mankind nimmt es auf und wendet sich direkt an Vince.]

Mankind: "I'm not sure I understand. The Rock is a great wrestler, but dad, to lose this match I had to be pinned and submit. And The Rock did neither, I'm not really sure what the hell is going on around here."

Vince McMahon: "Well, Mick... You don't get it, right?"

Mankind: "No!"

Vince McMahon: "Well, get this! Okay?"

[The Rock schlägt Mankind hinterrücks mit dem Titelgürtel nieder und tritt danach weiter auf ihn ein, während das Publikum und die Kommentatoren auf den Heelturn angemessen reagieren. Nach einem Rock Bottom lässt sich The Rock ganz formell den Titelgürtel von Vince McMahon umschnallen, während Shane nochmal zum Mikrofon greift.]

Shane McMahon: "Ladies and gentlemen, the McMahon family is proud to present... YOUR NEW WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION CHAMPION... THE CORPORATE CHAMPION... I GIVE YOU: THE ROCK!"

[Um die Fans nicht unglücklich nach Hause zu schicken, kehrt Stone Cold Steve Austin in die Halle zurück und nach einem kurzen Brawl mit The Rock kann er diesem den Stunner verpassen und ihn aus dem Ring werfen.]
