What a wooooorld! ). I don't have a problem with deathmatches, and yes, I mean REAL deathmatches that respect the niche. XPW is full of just straight up nonsense and egregious spots that are only violent or gross, and make no sense in the world of wrestling. But, I am not the least bit surprised considering who the owner is."

Even if you can see past their inhumanly gross behaviour, all the rape and sex trafficking, firing hundreds of workers while raking in record profits, and dealings with Saudi Arabia, the product just remains god awful. Between the worst production imaginable, complete colour oversaturation and seizure inducing editing, unlistenable commentary, unbelievably awfully scripted promo verbiage, high school play level acting and the most boring formulaic matches imaginable, this company is the worst thing that ever happened to wrestling. They never wanted to be wrestling or be called wrestling and I think it's time for wrestling fans to fulfill their wishes and be done with them. It's sad in some ways, as there are still very talented wrestlers working there."

[0.0] "The worst company in the history of wrestling, bar none. Abhorrent morals through both business practices and workplace environment, and a product that has been awful for 99% of it's existence. The company responsible for showing the best of wrestling to the masses, who decided to teach the world the very worst side of it. Owned for the large majority of its life as of writing by an egotistical, psychopathic, clueless, racist, sexist pig who wreaked havoc on the business and the people within it both behind and in front of the camera. Their are good pieces of content hidden deep within the archives, and even some of it produced today, but it's all buried beneath some of the most disgusting "wrestling" ever produced by any company. Angles & matches so bad that any other company who produced it would have never recovered. Even if the company had produced something closely resembling a wrestling product across its existence, it would still regain its place as the worst company to ever exist due to the exploitation of deaths, the flagrant homophobia, sexism and racism, the bullying culture, the introduction to the wrestling business of Vince Russo, the rehabilitation to the reputation of literal murderers, the mass distribution of steroids which would shorten the careers and lives of many of the people who felt forced to indulge in it, the complete disregard for workers rights, the crushing of unionization, the employment of JBL, the monopolization of the entire industry, the backing of the republican party, the sexual assault of numerous employees, and the literal death of a wrestler due to negligence. The fact that if wrestling ever dies ( which I don't think will happen) this will be the company who's narrative will be studied by the historians who stumble across it is arguably the single worst thing for the legacy of the world's greatest sport. Or should I say sports entertainment."

I am sure they will reappear at some point and if you decide to give them your money any time before 5 minutes until belltime then you need your head wobbled. Even if they do run, you can expect the workers to put no more than 60% effort in."

Guy accidentally sets himself on fire? Well he was outed for abuse so no real worry there (plus he did the fire spot and it backfired somehow? ). Don't watch, hope it gets shut down for good."

I think behind all of it the most absolutely funniest and short sighted thing was they offered people to spent like $50 to be locked in a room with the wrestlers so they could shit talk them in person, than thought it was a success when nobody did it. Why would anybody spend money to go to a show they don't want to see to insult wrestlers they don't like in a situation where its super dangerous for them to do so? No sense of reality at all was going on."

This promotion aint special despite paying and booking Katsuyori Shibata as one of the top stars, Kazuchika Okada as a prospect at the time & Don Arakawa being another ace for the brand that has bad comedy. Mucha is awful, Kikutaro can go in the ring but more known done better elsewhere as a comedy guy. This is a wasted opportunity to showcase great puroresu. Bryan Danielson wrestled there, Kota Ibushi and Akihiko Mori went toe to toe where it was the worst matchup by proxy in their careers. UWAI smells off as stale milk."

I also dont think it's a good sign to advertise that you've been "cancelled" before. it makes people look up what a POS company it really is"

I attened 3 shows from the relaunch it was headed in a good direction but Steven had throw it all away such a stupid choice the talent they had for the relaunch was a good mix of international and local talent the champions that they had was the right choice not sad that 1pw is dead far better shows out there"

[0.0] "FWA is a company that has one goal in mind; get Five Star Flash over. On (and off) screen owner, matches against The Hurricane, PJ Black, Davis Storm, JXT, Adam Brooks (with all but Brooks he won), having ample promo time on each show taking up most of the show, a former FWA Heavyweight Champion, and yet no one in the crowd wants to see him. This mindset has hampered the progression of FWA as an alternative show for both fans to attend and younger wrestlers to have more matches, solely because Fivey has decided to book himself stronger than anyone else. A STRONG presence of interstate wrestlers all over every card, with most being wrestlers unknown to anybody outside their home promotion. This then becomes an issue when Fivey books a lot of them to win championships. Anth Cava, Kid Valiant, Dean Brady & DELTA, Savannah Summers, all held titles in FWA over local talent who have worked for him since the beginning. Fivey is now moving FWAs home base from Sydney to Melbourne, which would save him money as most of the wrestlers he uses are all from there. Fivey has also struggled to book a good womens division, as he was infatuated with Xena leading to 3 separate title reigns, along with having male wrestler (and another interstater) Nick Bury beat her to win the title. Regularly booking international talent for their looks rather than any wrestling ability, the likes of Harley Cameron, Renee Michelle, Alex Gracia, Tessa Blanchard, and Scarlett Bordeaux all wrestling against Xena in some capacity. With people like Jessica Troy, Shazza McKenzie, and Lena Kross (among others) booked on FWA throughout their history, giving every female international you fly out to a subpar wrestler you're in love with does not make people want to come to the show. Matches announced for any show are regularly changed around or dropped from the card completely with no reason, and some shows have been called off for something as small as "we did not have a ring truck for the day" among other excuses. The phrase "card subject to change" has never done more heavy lifting for any other promotion on this website. All in all, FWA is arguably one of the worst promotions in Australia, and Fivey has only himself to blame for the negative outlook fans have on the promotion"

[1.0] "I feel awful giving an independent wrestling promotion a harsh score, but unfortunately this wrestling promotion truly deserves it. For context, this wrestling promotion USED to be at the very least adequate for an indie - fun matches with decent star-power in the local indie Springfield scene, you could tell a lot of the people there really cared about the wrestlers. That all changed in the beginning of 2023 when Steven Lucas, one of the owners made transphobic remarks in regards to another promotion's match, behavior of his which apparently wasn't new and which PWA swept under the rug. And if memory serves right, the promotion was already under fire for how late they were to call an ambulance for Victor Analog after an injury. After that happened, numerous wrestlers and announcers (including people who were trained by PWA) ended up dissociating from the promotion entirely. Spencer Powers, arguably the "hometown hero" of the promotion who held their main belt, pretty much just stopped wrestling in general, while the younger headliners of the promotion such as Victor Analog (probably the best wrestler who's ever been on their roster) and Anakin Murphy moved on to more prominent promotions in the St Louis area. With that, and the fact that they stopped being able to get wrestlers like Matt Cardona to wrestle for one-time events in their pomotion, led to their current state in 2024. Now, all of the former mid-card acts they used to have - the wrestlers who were too old and out of shape to have any true amount of potential in wrestling - are treated as their main stars, since everyone younger left the promotion. The women's wrestling portion isn't too bad, but the promotion in general just lost all of the feeling that the promotion used to have."

Despite saying Vince NT is non longer the owner the reality show that he is still the one taking decisions. I put 1 star because in every places you can find good people but to be honnest i don't understand french established wrestler still working for TPW like Tom La Ruffa or Booster. [2.0] "[1.00/5.00]: It's just so heinously sad at this point that what once was a respected alternative turned into the very thing they despised to be. AEW between 2019-2022 (up until Brawl Out) was must-see Television with no misses in their specials and consistent booking, AEW had the right to be earned as the best wrestling promotion in not only in America, but perhaps of the World, but now it's just a shell of its former self. I guess most of this is not what I care for anymore, I'm sure people who still watch it are still into it, but it's not for me anymore. Inconsistent booking of their wrestlers, having 0 character arcs for them to overcome, overreliance and burying of titles by overexposing them and Tony Khan's insufferable personality mixed in with some of the worst wrestling I have ever been subjected to. Kicking out of devastating finishers at 1, or sometimes not even selling it, Eddie Kingston as a whole, and the entire weekly package is just monotonic in its nature, you get practically the same feud every week, that's just copy/pasting of the previous ones. What once was the top babyface in Hangman Adam Page, is just going in random ever longing feuds with no context going behind it and nothing of value after it except for "oh they had that one brilliant bloody match where one stapled his man tits and the other drank his blood before spitting it out." Great match though but that's what AEW is just reduced to now, being a spectacle for one night and just ignoring everything else that makes wrestling great rest of the year because they don't make me or several of us care about the product. What I'm basically trying to get here is that AEW is the equivalent of a fast food chain, has everything that appeals to a less attention span individual, make everything to the likes of the consumer without putting much heart into it and then provide it in the greasiest looking bag lacking any presentation quality. It does have several room to improve, having multitudes of great talent at their disposal, but sadly that's not the case for quite some time now."

[2.0] "This PPV is considered one of the worst PPVs of all time, if not THE worst, and it's not unjustifiable to see why. Sluggish matches, questionable commentary, and the antics of one Jake Roberts make this a show that will live on in infamy. That being said, I can't write it off as 100% irredeemable for a number of reasons. Blanchard's fiery promo and serviceable match with Lane, the (believe it or not) garbage brawl with Abby and OMG, and the gut-bustingly hilarious "Soft Slam" call of Randy Rosenbloom save this from the absolute zero of ratings. That being said, it's a serious struggle of a show to get through for sure, and well worthy of its infamy. 2/10, watch Blanchard/Lane, the Jake promo, (if you like garbage matches) Abby/OMG, and the Sheik/Volkoff v Bushwhackers match for how hilariously awful it is, and hit everything else with the ol' DDT."

[2.0] "I think the quality of the product has improved( only a little bit) since Triple H took over vince, but i still dont think wwe is as good as they should be considering the amount of incredible talent they and it just still feels disappointing watching weekly raw and or smackdown. Both the shows are filled to the brim with endless promos and raw is 3 HOURS LONG yet they only WRESTLE for maybe an hour in the world WRESTLING entertainment. A lot of talent feels very undervalued as well Finn balor deserves more than a crappy house of black ripoff stable, Shinsuke has somehow never been a world champion, a wrestler who looked destined for greatness and had a lot of potential in Akira Tozawa is now a comedy act. The rosters average age is also pretty high and reluctance to use and bring young stars from NXT like Bron, Melo seems pretty ridiculous considering theyve got nothing left to achieve in NXT and could be pretty massive on the main roster if presented well. Overall I am still reluctant in saying the wwe is back because theyve only gone from like a 0 to a 2 so far and have still a lot left to prove in my opinion."

[2.0] "Full of bad history, stupid decisions, awkward booking and they can't even book babyfaces right anymore. The sets are horrible, the themes have ALL become terrible, nobody looks like a star anymore, they can't build guys (they only get over by themselves and somehow get even buried like guys like Zack Ryder), they bury promising young guys (Paul Burchill is the prime example I can think) and they squandered the Invasion angle so badly. You can't enjoy something like WWE, the only reason they're still here is because of guys like Jim Ross and Pat Patterson (RIP). They give someone some generic gimmick and let them figure it out themselves, giving the good stuff only to the guys they like (that 50% of the time can't even make things work). Raising my rating because I've been more forgiving towards the behind the scenes stuff, but the product on TV is still pretty bad (or at least IT WAS bad for too many years) Edit 2024: in just one month they lost all goodwill"

[2.0] "Oh boy. This show was pretty bad. And I liked GLOW, POWW and WOW. Tried hard to look hip and cool, and failed badly. The skits were dire and outdated, in fact some were recycled from GLOW. For that matter, most of the gimmicks were too, from GLOW and Johnny C and Steve Blance's other DOA effort, CRUSH. Then there were the long segments of some of wrestlers frolicking on the beach in bikinis. They looked good, but somehow, they made it boring with the slow mo video footage. Then finally, there was the wrestling. It was okay. More so from the more seasoned girls but the newer green girls tried too. Usually just one or occasionally 2 matches. But it wasn't worth it to watch the show. Not surprisingly, it only lasted one 13-episode season, I hope they were paid well, at least, for this. Maybe not the worst all-women's wrestling fed, but close. The porny ones probably take that dubious honor."

The beginnings are timid and frail, and the bar itself is -as it always was- way too small to host pro wrestling. I wouldn't wait too long on this promotion, that's only there to fuel your pro wrestling fan's needs if Nanterre's APC is too far for you, or closed."

[2.0] "The one fed that people outside of Europe and the Americas keep hearing of. Now that I've spent 8 sporadic years keeping an eye on WWE, I'm very confident in saying that it has become one of my least favorite feds of all time despite it becoming much more competent during Triple H's era. Here are my issues with this fed: 1) Their roster is incredible, but they don't know how to use all of them to their fullest potential, and they also decide who we should care about (that 2019 "You are the authority" promo keeps getting funnier each year) based on morals and tales that are so out of touch. Also, it is outright embarrassing that they keep releasing talent while they keep breaking making a fuck ton of money. 2) Why do they hate tag team wrestling so much? The level of quality of WWE's tag team scene goes as following, one step forward, 5 steps back. Look no further than the booking at any given year for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. None of the tag teams who won these belts feel like they excel in ring psychology, same goes for the movesets, they don't feel inspiring. There's no need to give a spotlight to tag team wrestling if they're not going to treat it with the importance it deserves. 3) The Saudi Arabia partnership. Need I say more? 4) The biggest focus is the E in WWE, case in point, Akira Tozawa vs Ricochet sounds like a dream match for anyone who saw them in Dragongate or PWG, but nobody would give a donkey's shit about them wrestling in WWE, because it is a perpetual glorified TV show that emphasizes on characters and storylines much more than workrate and performances. However, the one saving grace from that specific complaint has been Gunther, and I hope he keeps thriving as the upcoming unstoppable final boss. 5) PPV non-finishes, it is non only insulting to the viewer's intelligence but also to his/her money. Why would you do that? 6) Final point, it is absolutely unnecessary for WWE to ever book no-DQ matches. These matches are far too pedestrian, and their level of creativity along with the PG-type restrictions make it impossible for the matches to showcase any shock value nor entertainment. Thankfully, I've discovered other wrestling companies who seem to do fine with this type of match. That's it, I'm tired of writing about them. There's no reason for anyone who cares about professional wrestling to invest into this company in any way, because they themselves have made it obvious that they're too focused on an E more than a W."

[2.0] "I started watching from the very beginning and was really excited about the future of pro-wrestling, but many years later, this promotion has completely fallen flat. Khan can't book anything decently story wise or something long term for the ultimate "pay off" Bryan Danielson used to be one of their draws, but has turned into a guy that just has matches with anybody without any meaning. Jay White is a former IWGP Heavyweight champion and has recently been buried by a 60-year-old man in one of the most awful matches I've seen in the entire year. Mercedes Mone is booked for her weak points, doing commentary and long dull promos instead of booking her for what she's good at, wrestling in matches. Tony Khan needs to stop leaning into the "dirt-sheets" and the drama and focus on the product itself. The ratings and the half-full arenas speak for themselves. If they don't do anything drastically to change the overall presentation, booking and storytelling, then the company will not last long term or gain any new viewers."

Apparently a lot of guys are not paid as agreed after the show and the wrong people are put forward. there must be 4 or 5 guys who are good wrestlers and who should leave because they really aren't helped by the structure and boring storylines offered by AYA."

Billy Corgan needs to get the hell out of the company, he is making it into one of the worst promotions in pro wrestling, not even close to the standards it had back in the 1900s. Both TV titles, the US tag titles, and the junior title all need to be removed, there's no point in having so many championships with such a small roster. The world title needs to be taken off of Tyrus, he's doing no favors to the company. We also need Cyon to lose the national title. When all that happens, I'll give a better rating. (Edit #1): I gave this a two formerly, but things sorta started looking up with Tyrus gone and EC3 as the champ. Still nowhere near respectable though... I'll give it a three."

[3.0] ""The master's tools will never dismantle the master's house." If you wanna be the alternative to sports entertainment, you cannot produce sports entertainment. Granted, it is an edgier version of it, but still nowhere near a serious sports presentation. I am mad at AEW specifically for not being able to be the alternative, after months of bragging about how rich and smart they were, and how many good wrestlers they had... They handed all of the buzz and interest to their rivals. There's really too many problems in the company to enumerate all of them, but a couple of fundamental ones make the product barely watchable. First of all, I understand kayfabe's dead, but that is not an excuse to write shitty, tongue-in-cheek storylines, that have no semblance or realism (or drama, or genuine comedy) or have none at all and set up random no DQ matches. I can count AEW memorable storylines on the fingers of one hand (and they mostly involve people who aren't even there anymore). Secondly, WORKRATE IS NOT ABOUT MOVES. And I say this as somebody who watches wrestling matches mainly looking for high level workrate, that is storytelling and psychology, I believe the vision of a "great match" that AEW has is just delusional, and brings forth nothing but copy and paste matches, with personalities noone will remember and even less memorable spots, while also being needlessly reckless. I mean the fact that some of AEW's "biggest stars" are literally one-trick ponies is quite telling: I think of Daniel Garcia's negative charisma cringey dance, of Orange Cassidy's silly shin kicks that were never funny to begin with (imagine after seeing them every week), of the Young Bucks' insufferable personas that have taken the concept of go away heat to a whole nother level. Moreover, this obession with dream matches with no build whatsoever make it so that no match is a real dream match in the end. There's so much more that should be said, from TK's inability to realize how inadequate and unexperienced he is as a booker and his refusal to put qualified people in charge, to much of the roster's refusal to listen to advice and adapt to a more consistent, less indierific style, to the ridiculous amount of useless belts nobody cares about, but unfortunately nobody's paying me to shit on this company. I root for AEW, I genuinely do, I am tired of the silly sports entertainment that the others have shoved down everybody's throat for decades, and AEW has shown that they CAN produce good wrestling if they want to (which makes their whole pointless programming even more infuriating) but right now the product overall just sucks.  And it's sad for the MJFs, the FTRs, the Jay White's, the Samoa Joe's, the Eddie Kingston's of this world, and I could go on because they do have a stacked roster with tons of talent, they just have no idea how to use it in a coherent and consistent way."

[3.0] "AEW is a sad case of a company that had a lot of potential, but squandered all of it. It's just disappointing. I am thankful they provide good wrestling matches on a regular basis and its hard to be disappointed on that end (even if it's not exactly AJPW 1990s level as some people make it out to be), the problem is that that's where the good comes to and end. Everything else about this company is just a complete disaster, which might make for a more entertaining book than the WCW book, except that Tony makes everyone sign NDAs for everything. They have no idea how to execute angles, and how to make them work (there's many examples I could give but just look at the recent devil reveal, it was bad enough with Cole doing the fake friend when he had MJF down already, and then an over-long blackout so he could get in position), and the booking in general isn't any better. There's a Simpsons quote that can be applied to everything in life, and "So you want a realistic down to earth show, that's completely off the wall, and swarming with magic robots." fits regarding AEW's 'sports based' side and its 'sports entertainment' side, which makes their shows schizophrenic. Tony has managed to squander just about all of his talent who had potential, most of their WWE signings have been blown, Kingston, Swerve is currently the hot guy in the company and I can only hope for best but I have no reason to with Tony's track record. MJF has gone from a guy who could potentially be the biggest draw of anyone in business who isn't over 35, but has become a joke. And it's not even worth talking about CM Punk, everyone knows the story, and everyone has taken their sides, but the whole situation was a disaster that could have been avoided with proper management and now the biggest draw Tony had is in the WWE."

[3.0] "AEW had the potential to be a different promotion and have real looking serious pro wrestling on national TV. Unfortunately most of the wrestling in AEW is video game wrestling, comedy & Spot monkey style of wrestling. This includes wrestlers doing a bunch of "cool" moves and spots, and not selling any of it. This style of wrestling only works for a small amount of fans because moves mean nothing, because everybody on the show does the moves. As far as storylines, none of the story lines are relevant enough to make somebody not a hardcore fan turn the TV on and watch the show. Hardcore fans of AEW are the only ones still watching at this point. Of course there are some great pro wrestlers on the show like FTR, MJF, Billy Gunn but the rest all wrestle the same. As a fan of good serious Pro wrestling this does hurt writing this and giving AEW a 3.0 rating."

[3.0] "AEW had so much potential when they first started, and for a bit, it was exciting to see something new and fresh since there hadn't been too many other mainstream wrestling companies beforehand. With a great roster and some killer matches, I was really pumped for what AEW would bring to the table. But now, I kind of wish that AEW would either go away or completely rebrand itself. The roster these days is completely bloated. If you are The Elite, MJF, or Britt Baker, you'll likely do well. But if you are Lance Archer, Jay Lethal, or Malakai Black, you're taking a gamble. For as many shows as they have, it feels like they still cannot fit everyone in. Storylines are always hit or miss, and TK is severely overrated as a booker. Quality has noticeably gone down and it feels like he is stuck in his own world. But what really shut me off to AEW was the entire CM Punk drama, which really exposed how lousy of an owner TK really is, creating an unsafe and hostile working environment and letting people go into business for themselves. This leaves viewers confused and disillusioned. I just can't get excited for AEW anymore and unless if things really change, I don't know if I want to tune in again. God bless guys like Samoa Joe, Claudio Castagnoli, and even Bryan Danielson for sticking it out, but at this rate, I'd much rather have Ring of Honor split off from AEW and have those guys go help build a better show than TK has put on in the last 2 years."

Their biggest mistake was just signing anybody with a name, especially ones who left WWE under the covid situation. Lots of good wrestlers there, but the promotion stood out the most when it was independent wrestlers with a few big names. The women's division is non-existent, WWE during the diva era featured women more than AEW does, which is really saying something. Doing cross promotion stuff with the likes of NJPW & TNA is fantastic, but AEW has slowly became a second rate WWE. Biggest thing they need to do imo is start doing the little things right. There's no long-term planning (aside from the devil thing, but the pay-off for that made no sense as both MJF & Adam Cole are injured.) Lastly, Tony Khan needs to get off Twitter sooner rather than later. You wouldn't catch Vince McMahon crying about stuff online like Tony does. Needs to stop acting like a mark and actually get a grip of himself and of his promotion."

If youve only seen AAA it may seem like ideal Lucha Libre but once getting into CMLL it really showcases the differences in each company and how less rounded many of AAAs talent are. It doesnt help that AAA is seemingly far more open to booking anyone regardless of how shit of a person they are if it manages to fill just 20 more seats. Theres talent and stuff Ive liked and still like in AAA over the years but its really become apparent to me over the past several years that AAA is probably not getting away from playing second fiddle to CMLL for a very long time if ever with the way it is. Its many foreigners first (including myself) introduction to any sort of Lucha Libre in Mexico itself which is a good thing and something that CMLL just seemingly doesnt try at all to grow to a non Mexican audience."

As a a wrestling product, it is a zero out of ten that has never been remotely interested in whether or not the in-ring product was even remotely passable in comparison to it's contemporaries. Historically, it will always be synonymous with wrestling in the USA, and that is both because it penetrated the public consciousness to such a degree, and because it is directly responsible destroying the entire industry and rendering it no longer financially viable. I will never enjoy this companies product, and I will always consider Vince McMahon and anyone who has good things to say about him as undeserving of human dignity. His grave should be marked with an outhouse rather than a tombstone. But rating the company purely as a wrestling product? I'll go with 4/10: non-challenging, unmemorable, and slightly below replacement level."

Over the years there has been improvement, mostly they now hire women who have at least worked the indies of course the very cheesy gimmick stick around. They also clearly bring untrained women and well things are still pretty cheesy. I supposed you could say it's good background nose or something you aren't supposed to take to seriously. But I also think there is much better wrestling out there."

[5.0] "WWE is a polarizing company to review. I know it has some great moments, but it also has some bad moments. There are a lot of problems on this product. Examples are questionable booking, hot potato title reigns, part-timer champion, failed to push new talents, unnecessary releases, backstage politics, cheap nostalgia, etc. When WCW folded in 2001, WWE became the only dominant wrestling company. Unfortunately, it brought the worst of the company especially when WWE turned into PG. Many of the wrestling fans stopped watching because of the absurdity of the content. WWE hasn't been the same since the Attitude Era, the fun and magic of wrestling was gone. Some of the bookings were trying to insult our intelligence. It seems that the product doesn't care about quality but profit. Glad that there are emerging wrestling promotions out there to provide an alternative to wrestling fans in case WWE failed to meet our expectations. Surely WWE is the bigger platform for wrestler's exposure but the problem with treating their talent is what I am concerned of. At least, Triple H created his pet project, NXT, and somehow became watchable because of indie wrestling feel to it. I don't know if I'm going to have faith on somehow the company will improve, as I am waiting for the last 15 years to improve. Look, I'm not hating the product, I just want the WWE to be great also since it is the largest wrestling company in the world. Good thing when Triple H took over in 2022, the wrestling has somehow improved a little bit. And in terms of creating moments and amazing video packages, WWE provides it."

If you want to watch a bunch of short skinnyfat wrestlers synchronize a tumbling routine then this company is for you. Tony Khan books like he's booking an E-fed and playing the hits from better promotions that came before. That said, AEW is a company of contrasts. Look no further than the masterpiece that was CM Punk and Maxwell Jacob Friedman's feud that played out over the previous few months. When the professionals are out there you get a truly world class product. Unfortunately so much of the company is dedicated to play wrestlers getting their buddies on TV and no one takes anything seriously. Up and down the talent roster you get some truly great talent like Jay Lethal, Keith Lee, Darby Allin, and the list goes on. But so much time is dedicated to silliness with redundant angles and segments. This company has time to grow and they have put on some the best wrestling in years, however it gets bogged down in indyriffic nonsense too often. Part of me wonders if fans will give AEW a pass on everything because it is the only legitimate competition to WWE since 2001 because some of the stuff that makes air is truly ridiculous. * I would also like to note that AEW is a case study in what happens when a mark books a territory and how wrestlers are their own worst enemies in regards to booking themselves."

For me the issues with the company aren't the talent, it's mainly Tony Khan putting his head in the sand and not caring about his own fans like he used too when AEW started. Tony Khan puts on shows extremely frequently in bigger venues which don't even sell out these days and have shocking attendances, while viewers and ratings are dropping each week because of his own questionable bookings and decisions that's already dampening the reputation of himself, his talent and most importantly AEW. The women's division of AEW needs a gigantic improvement as it's never been taken seriously enough from the offset. If he wants AEW's ratings on CageMatch to improve then Tony needs to look seriously in the mirror as if he doesn't, his company will keep declining as AEW used to be a 10/10 and I was watching the shows every week while looking forward to PPVs. I don't even feel that same buzz and excitement anymore because of Tony Khan's questionable bookings and decisions"

It's identity completely died and was reborn with the most corporatized stale image that you can imagine and that decision is reflected heavily in the mind-numbing angles, Marvel superhero characters, meaningless matches, no creative freedom, copy pasted sets and literally nauseating visual and audio production. These issues make sitting through a three hour RAW a complete drag for anyone but the indoctrinated. It's not about the product being kid friendly or it not having enough tits and blood, it's simply near impossible to take WWE seriously when they overstimulate the viewer with just about everything but good professional wrestling. The main event scene is exactly the same was it was 10 years and even the newer additions like Rhea Ripley has worn out their welcome. Charlotte Flair got a lot of deserved flak for always being in title matches and main events but I don't think I've seen nearly enough for Becky Lynch. How is a multiple time former champion and Royal Rumble winner ever a plucky underdog? They still have the gaudy and ostentatious graphics during entrances, the same signature and finisher spam and kickouts, and, beyond all comprehension, they still have shaking camera movements even thought Kevin Dunn is gone. In early 2024 both the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber only had 4 matches but the shows were nearly 4 hours. It was littered with commercials, tv show segments, and bizarre chamber of commerce shilling for travel. I keep up with Raw and Smackdown on YouTube and wait for replays for PLEs. That's not the sign of a company that's "firing on all cylinders". If money denotes quality then the Transformer movies are the greatest ever made."

Had Dixie Carter not brought in Hogan & Bischoff, I think TNA would've been the place for wrestling fans late 2000s and early-mid 2010s. It went downhill so bad that their absolute ace, somebody who everybody thought would be a TNA for life guy, ended up leaving (AJ Styles.) You know you've messed up when AJ Styles has had enough and leaves. It's a damn shame because TNA was so good, like any promotion it had a fair share of ups and downs, but they really did professional wrestling right for a short period of time. It was a breath of fresh air, the six sided ring and the overall production was just so drastically different to WWE that it really made you want to tune in and see what would happen. They did a lot of good things like having the NJPW guys come over, and the incredible X-Division at the time, it was just going in the right place and then Hogan & Bischoff waltzed in and killed it. The 2015-2016 is one of my personal favorite period of this promotion, maybe because it's back when i got back into wrestling but there also was some memorable storylines and matches that we still talk about nowadays. Every period has its up and downs, we had Jeff Hardy winning his first WWE championship but we also had Katie Vick, we had the rivalry between Stone Cold and Vince McMahon but we also had a rivalry between Reigns and Corbin where Roman Reigns ate dog food, we had Daniel Bryan winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 30 but we also had Val Venis feuding with Yakuzas. Now the product has improved since Vince McMahon left the booking management but i still find it stale because most thing seem predictable. And usually, I am very "sports entertained". But the fact that you can't talk to someone about wrestling, without there always being a comparison to this company (Attitude Era made the most money, Hogan in the 80s is the biggest ever, Vince is a GOD, blah blah blah) shows exactly what is currently wrong with wrestling fandom. Also, let's look at their partners in TKO Holdings aka UFC/Endeavor. UFC own PowerSlap! , a slap fighting promotion. Does that inherently give UFC additional credibility, because they have the most money and most TV exposure for an EXTREMELY niche "sport"? No, it does not. "You're a nobody unless you wrestle here! The spectacle is awesome, don't get me wrong. But their programming is super formulaic (RAW is 3 hours, with usually 4 matches on average, and the rest is all advertising or promos), they listen to the dollar bill too often which leads them to frequently shoot themselves in the foot and stumbling into something that they claim was always the plan (lookin' at you, recent Cody/Roman/Rock stuff), and iffy at best partnerships with governments of countries with less than ideal public standing hurts this company A LOT in not only my eyes, but the eyes of many other people who enjoy this business. For the past twenty years, it's never quite known what it wants to be: does it want to be WWE or be an alternative? And what it should have done is be the alternative. The strong points of its existence, such as the mid-2000s and the late-2010s, were when it was doing just that, providing people a more grounded take on pro wrestling than WWE's glitz and glamour. It provided a home for people who Vince McMahon just couldn't use right; people like Sting and Christian Cage lit the house on fire, it was the place that made AJ Styles look an absolute star, and it proved that Kurt Angle wasn't just a one-trick pony. And even as soon as the early 2020s, it truly had one of the best women's divisions in the West; Slamovich, James, Grace, Purrazzo and Trinity are a strong core to build a division around, even if two of them have left for different pastures. But we have to talk about the downsides too. The early 2010s were truly a nadir for TNA, with Hogan and company tanking the glory days by trying, and failing, to fight the Monday Night Wars again, and the less said about the 2013-15 "we have WWE at home" era, the better. Matt Hardy really does deserve his flowers for dragging a dying almost-corpse of a promotion back into relevance enough to get proverbial medical attention, because the industry would be for the worse without TNA."

I don't think Tony Khan has done a great job running it, which is understandable considering how hands on he is with AEW."

[6.0] "When I was looking for something current to watch outside the American mainstream, I specifically wanted to find more women's wrestling, as while the major American promotions have gotten better about it over time, there's still lots of work to be done. After doing some light research into various women's wrestling promotions, I settled on simply giving Stardom a go, as they're the largest women's wrestling promotion, they're the old stomping grounds of names I'm familiar with (Io Shirai, KAIRI), and they employ(ed) some current talent that get a lot of buzz on social media (Giulia, Utami, Mayu, etc). The presentation is a BIG departure from what I'm used to on American TV. The fact that most of their events look like little more than house shows that happen to get an official broadcast wasn't jarring, as American indies have looked like that forever. But everything else feels very different too, from the stables and the gimmicks, right down to how their matches are laid out. It can often feel less like a simulated combat sport and more like an idol performance, where the idols perform wrestling moves instead of sing and dance. That's definitely a big hurdle for me, as idols/idol culture are not generally my thing. It's especially noticeable on the big 6/8/10 woman tag matches they run on their tour/house shows, and there are a LOT of those matches. But when they decide to put on an "actual" wrestling match, whether it be a veteran squashing a younggirl in 6 minutes, or a normal tag match, or a quick comedy match with a 4'11" crotchety clown, or just your good old "you have that belt and I want it" title fight, it really is leagues better and more watchable than most of the women's material that gets shown on American TV. So while it's an acquired taste, ultimately I am glad I stuck it out and am keeping up with it reguarly in 2024. Shoutout to Mina Shirakawa, who is currently my favorite wrestler (of any gender) that was not wrestling in Ring of Honor in 2005."

I hope in the future they will start doing a little bit less hardcore and more of regular wrestling matches, but until then its a solid 6 - an experience live that I can totally recommend."

Anything after 1994 was red hot garbage in my opinion. Sure nWo was very red hot in 1996, but I was never really invested in the nWo. For me, the nWo was just a bunch of older guys stroking their own ego to stay relevant. While they did get some relevance, it ended up biting them in the ass later on. WCW in the late 80s and early 90s were the best. Guys like Barry Windham, Big Van Vader, Dustin Rhodes, Brian Pillman, Steve Austin, Z-Man, Arn Anderson, Ric Flair, Steiners, made WCW worth watching In my opinion. WCW in the mid 90s to early 00s was just an ego power trip that got grounded by WWF."

[6.0] "Leading up to their first anniversary, I'd say that Evolution is still working to grow out from under the shadow of AJPW. The first rookie class was small, but promising, yet the fact is that all of their events are extremely predictable while the guest performers are very hit or miss (although one of the new idol groups seems to have some acclaim with the fans). Chi Chi and Zones are great, but there's a ceiling to the appeal of watching them lose matches to more established talent in the scene, even if those matches are longer and take more risks when compared to their appearances in other promotions. Still, I give Evolution credit for being consistent and booking matches that I personally look forward to."

[6.0] "I had a hard time enjoying this but when I did, all was well. First they absorbed World Class, when that company was very close to worthless (but that angle *was* well done). Then they became the "new" Memphis, which felt like the old Memphis minus excitement and intrigue. Then they become a farm system for the WWF and gained a little steam. Said steam turned into a giant wet spot on the floor and the end was a slippery slope to nowhere. Some gold in there even with all of the caveats: When they were still doing shows at The Sportatorium: Cactus Jack! The time in Texas didn't last long though. Downtown Bruno was a far better character and name than Harvey Wippleman (wrestlecrap name btw). You got to see Mo and Mabel NOT suck as The Harlem Knights. You got to see The Rock before he was The Rock but he was still kinda The Rock anyway. Things like PG-13 fucking SUCKED (pardon my language but they *were* gawdawful garbage water). Steve Doll looked like he finally belonged somewhere with the USWA. Brickhouse Brown had some good stuff here and might have been his peak as a worker. I was feeling most of Doug Gilbert's work there and before she was "Jacqueline" she was Miss Texas and she was AWESOME. As you see, I will glow about as much as I will poo on; this always results in a middle score no matter what, when, where or who you are in wrestling. 5.5"

They are trying to mimic japanese wrestling but they should no singapore is more suited to the hollywood style entertainment any that is why no matter what they do they can never overtake SPW. I appreciate them, but their style is not for me. Good talent though, and breaking boundaries with NJPW is great, but yet to even see a NJPW wrestler come."

[6.0] "Highly overrated promotion. There were certainly great matches there, but in general, Tony Khan works very strangely with his roster, signing unnecessary or wrestlers who have not been in the ring for a long time like Saraya. Inability to work with a female roster, very strange creative ideas, mostly boring feuds and the assumption of disgusting behavior in some personalities. TNT title is generally a hot potato, passing from hand to hand. Some indie companies are far superior to AEW in some aspects."

However, it is clear that NJPW has lost a lot of top talent recently, and that has translated to a mediocre overall product."

[6.0] "I tolerated WWE for a long time before they finally broke me as it were. Having started in 2004 I knew disappointment quickly with how short Eddie and Benoits reigns were, then watching the rise and rise and rise and never fall of John Cena over people like Jericho, Edge, Angle, Shawn Micheals and so on... i really didnt start getting upset with most of their choices till Roman Reigns. At first I was fine when they tried a title run a few times but failed, but they... KEPT DOING IT. He now has main-evented more Wrestlemanias than ANYONE else. Does that sound right to you? Even with the Tribal Chief stuff I got bored after he double-pinned Edge and Bryan, while that seemed cool I slowly realized he was going to be champion for far too long and for far less reasons. Flashforward and now He has also beaten every possible storyline opponent who could have taken it from him. Cody Rhodes, Sami Sayn, Jey Uso. It doesn't matter now, his reign is just... there. There are dozens of other reasons, their mistreatment of wrestlers during Covid, never pushing the right new stars and then forcing the bland problematic ones down fans throats, they keep doing it, they've been doing it for 40 years now. It's exhausting. I can watch the old good stuff with the network but it might be a LONG time before I care about watching it week to week or whatever they have planned for the future because right now it is the most turbulent and unsure course WWE has ever been on."

[6.0] "[6.3] For better or worse, undeniably the most important promotion of all time and linked to the development of modern wrestling in such a way that it is hard to imagine what the wrestling world looks like without its influence. That said, modern WWE is for the most part just mediocrity with occasional hints of something great underneath. Great history, great roster, but the actual wrestling feels like an afterthought, especially after the rise of the Bloodline. Throw in some genuinely abhorrent top brass, bad working practices, and horrible mistreatment of workers, and the conclusion reached is that the top promotion in the world is semi-decent product produced by a terrible company."

I enjoyed watching The Midnight Rockers rise through the ranks before they left for the WWF. It was always, "Who's going to the WWF next? " back then. I should have known when they co-promoted with World Class and Memphis that the writing was on the wall. But it was wrestling on TV in the '80s and I didn't' want to miss it."
