231.07.2022steviecw8.0I loved FWE. It's a pity that it ended how it did but it's possible what made it so fun was what made that finale inevitable. But they presented a stacked card full of known names from WWE and active ROH/Impact talent plus folks from Chikara, etc. People like AJ Styles, The Young Bucks, Eric Young, Ivelisse Velez, Tommy Dreamer, Veda Scott, Paul London, Candice LeRae, Carlito Colon, Maria Kanellis, Jay Lethal, Winter, John Hennigan would hold titles here and some names would be brought in to challenge them. They also worked with a lot of NYWC, CAP and local tri-state talent with guys like Tony Nese and VSK holding titles there too early in their pre-TV careers. But they offered a good quality VOD events and even hosted the match between Drew Galloway and Matt Hardy which led to the name change of the ICW *World* Heavyweight Championship. Maryse on commentary was a fun thing too. Things that hindered the promotion for me was that cards were much too long (upwards of ten matches often given a lot of time) which really reduced my enthusiasm for any of the less star studded bouts (not a great investment if you need to build local guys as attractions over more expensive talent) and there was no balance in the lengths of title reigns as some would be nearly crack 800 days while other titles felt hot shotted between whichever name came in. Only JoMo having more than one successful retention (he had 2), though having big names attached to your top title has some benefits to it, the execution wasn't too effective for establishing a title or a champion. Good promotion, sad it didn't last longer as I looked forward to their shows.
326.06.2018DanTalksRasslin7.0An independent company with a great roster of high-profile, mainstream-recognizable former WWE and TNA stars plus indy headliners like the Young Bucks and Colt Cabana, as well as local wrestlers on the undercard. Known for packing tons of action into their shows. Their events were a lot of fun live. Unfortunately, by booking so much name talent at a time on their shows, they seemed to be living beyond their financial means, and attempts to expand outside the NYC market in 2015 did not pan out and ultimately led to the company's apparent demise.

502.11.2014HottRoddTX8.0A great promotion full of former WWE and TNA mid carders getting a chance to main event. Along with some upcoming indy talent. Also Tommy Dreamer's promotion, House Of Hardcore get involve in the mix of matches.
620.08.2013zzzorf7.0While not the greatest independent company out there FWE does have a roster that the other companies could only wish for. FWE is the perfect company for anyone WWE/TNA fan who wants to start branching out because they don't want to be swamped by new names. By having a roster made up mostly of wrestlers who made their names in the major companies they are able to present cards which could be suitable on the big stage yet still have that indy feel.
