212.02.2023Inserthere7502.0this company is so shit. their new shows are 50% really really bad matches and 50% literally nothing, your just sitting their for like 15 minutes wailing for them to start their next match, it come off as unprepared and uncaring about their product.
331.10.2022inmate jom1.0It's truly astounding how low Colega has fallen. Originally starting up with a large amount of fanfare from Japanese and western fans alike, it seemed like everyone wanted to see Bodyguard's vision succeed. Based around the Osaka Pro idea of running near-daily shows (while also choosing to begin during the pandemic when it would be the hardest to pull this off), the early days of Colega were marked by some genuinely pretty fun characters and stories, and people were absolutely tuning in live every day to watch Bodyguard and friends take on different foes. While some western fans were definitely only interested as a joke, it was pretty clear that a lot of them were truly having fun, and that same sentiment was shared by the wrestlers themselves. This wasn't the case for long though, and within a few months it became clear that Colega mainly served for wrestlers to just pad out their schedule and get a quick payday. Fans started to lose interest, and it wasn't long after that point that Colega started to completely come apart, with backstage conflicts leading to Ryoji Sai taking over the promotion and bringing in pedophile Joji Otani and pedophile/kidnapper Dylan James. If that wasn't enough, soon after it was revealed that Sai (a known anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist) had set some of the worst COVID safety protocols possible, leading to an outbreak at their shows and multiple wrestlers contracting the virus, including their world champion at the time, who promptly quit the promotion and vacated the title. What started as a fun and ambitious project led by Bodyguard was taken and turned into one of the worst examples of negligence in the entirety of pandemic-era wrestling. Nowadays, Colega is one of the deadest promotions on the planet, with apathetic crowds and lazy wrestling, along with some of the biggest scumbags in wrestling today working at the top of the cards. The only reason this doesn't get a zero is because of the enjoyment I got from the early Colega events. Otherwise, this is a completely worthless promotion.
403.10.2022TeamCanadaTwoPointOh2.0Twas a great way to watch some constant wrestling last year, and a great intro to Momoka Hanazono, but they were revealed to be lacking in their approach to COVID, and since then, have become completely inessential.
504.11.2021benny5bellys4.0Not really a lot to them and far more interesting Japanese indies to check out. They also got in hot water over Covid

729.07.2021laldila6.0Interesting fed with a lot of talent involved. Putting on a show every day is a lot (and there's also the unfortunate fact that they book Dylan James) but there is a lot of potential here to be something special down the road. Post COVID they are a place to keep an eye on.

917.03.2021Patlabor8.0It must be extremely hard starting a wrestling promotion, let alone during Covid. At the very least their Youtube channel is worth the follow. Almost daily shows on there and the wrestling isn't too bad. Hibiscus Mii was the initial draw for me. I don't hate the fact that the streams are completely on hardcam, but it is handcuffing the product quite a bit. A lot of the story and performers skills are being lost at a distance. Encouraging to see the crowd and streams go from completely empty to a few faces, hopefully all aspects of the promotion continue to grow.
1026.01.2021darvantono10.0Every once in a while, i wonder, "what is pro wrestling? ". Well, Colega Pro will help you find the answer. This is pro wrestling.
