Aber ab dem Jahre 2008 als die PG-Ära so langsam losging hab ich mich kaum noch für die WWE interressiert. Ab 2011 ging es dann langsam wieder aufwärts. Die Storylines sind unterhaltsam und die Matches sind an sich auch interressant. Aber was mich eben am meisten stört ist diese Kinderfreundlichkeit. Hell in a Cell, das (angeblich) brutalste Match. Ja, und wo ist das Blut? Ich meine es muss ja nicht jedes Match in einem Blutbad enden, aber hier und da mal eine schöne Wunde hat meiner Meinung noch keinem Match geschadet. Im Gegenteil, es macht die Matches um einiges interressanter und realer. Ist Wrestling nun Männersport oder Kinderprogramm? Kinder können sich auch Boxkämpfe ansehen, da blutet es auch mal abundzu. Durch Blut werden Kinder warscheinlich noch eher abgeschreckt, Wrestling nicht nachzumachen. Hoffentlich ändert sich das mal wieder, dass die WWE wieder etwas ansehnlicher für das Erwachsene Publikum wird. Aber wie gesagt mir macht es riesen Spaß die WWE zu sehen, (leider) auch ohne Blut. |

| 1304 | 17.03.2018 | Sebastian V | 8.0 | Man kann natürlich immer vieles finden, was einem an der WWE weniger gefällt aber dabei lassen viele der heutigen Smart Marks auch außer acht, dass keine Liga sich so lange mit dem Erfolg hält und das eine auf Mainstream ausgerichtete TV-Promotion nun mal anders an die Sache herangehen muss als Indy Companies. Von den großen TV-Promotions also WWE, WCW, ECW und TNA war und ist sie die beste Liga. Die größte Stärke der WWE ist sicherlich die Präsentation. Die Qualität der Videopackages, die Dekoration der Halle, das Artwork usw. sind unerreicht von anderen Promotions. Dazu kommt ihr enorer Nachwuchsförderungsapparat mit den best möglichen Trainern. Die dort weiterentwickelten Talente tun sich vor Allem in NXT hervor. NXT alleine zeugt von etwas, das keine andere Liga außer WWE zu bieten: Den Split in zwei Teile, sodass sowohl Casual Fans als auch Smart Marks auf ihre Kosten kommen. Bei NXT wird sehr vieles sowohl was die Stories aber vor Allem was die Matches und das Booking angeht richtig gemacht. Allerdings ist es auch das auf das In-Ring Geschehen fokussierte Produkt. Im Main Roster liegt die Betonung mehr auf den Sotries, was dazu führt das obwohl man eines der besten Roster der Welt hat, man nur selten die besten Matches der Welt produziert, was auch an teilweise eher traditionell denkendem liegt, welches Erscheinung und Kraft über Fähigkeiten stellt. Dennoch hat die WWE, auch wenn ihre Shows nicht die Qualität großer Indypromotions erreichen, für das was sie ist auch viel richtig gemacht. Die heutige Zeit ist für die WWE besonders schwer, da Casual Fans und Internet Smart Marks mehr denn je aufeinander treffen. Die WWE stellt sich dem, wenn auch teilweise nicht ganz vollherzig ( siehe Women´s Revolution, Crusierweight Division etc. ). Alles in Allem kreiert sie aber auch überlebensgroße Momente wie keine andere Liga, sodass sie trotz ihrer Makel für eine Mainstreamliga wirklich gut ist und daher halte ich 8 Punkte für richtig. |

Do I focus heavily on the questionable, childish booking that has become more prominent over the last ten years or so, or do I focus more on the company's prior 50 years of history? Do I focus more on the memories this company gave me? And the nightmares I got from watching a toothless Mankind smile his bloody gums at me after falling through a 20-foot structure, or from watching a 6'11 deadman set his co-workers ablaze? Perhaps I should think about the Golden Era, where Hulkamania was running wild and thousands of fans were packing into the Silverdome and the millions were watching around the world as the All American Hogan slammed a 500-pound giant. It's an impossible task. What stays consistent, however, is that in WWE, when it rains it pours, and when it shines, it doesn't get brighter. When WWE does good, whether that's a Hogan slamming an Andre or a Stone Cold giving the finger to the boss or more recently a Daniel Bryan fighting his way into the main event of Wrestlemania, it does great. Those moments feel so fulfilling to watch happen and no other wrestling company can fight that feeling. However, WWE is no stranger to dropping the ball and missing golden opportunities whether it's to create a five-star classic or to build a new star, WWE's booking has been questionable to the hardcore fans for years now, often to the point of sheer boredom from audiences. But, as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder, and it makes those special moments whether it's a Daniel Bryan/Authority or Kofi Kingston/Daniel Bryan rivalry feel so much more special. But fans like myself feel so much more frustrated to see WWE drop the ball on a 'Rusev Day' or an NXT call up which, at this point, has become almost humorous as WWE has such a consistent history of burying their popular stars from their third brand. Another problem 2020 WWE faces is its sheer lack of ability to create new stars, almost all of the current stars of WWE found their success in other promotions like TNA or NJPW or ROH, most NXT stars come from Evolve instead of being Performance Centre homegrowns. And WWE also has a frustrating habit of putting its older, retired icons over their younger upcoming stars. The fact that the cover star of the upcoming WWE 2K Battlegrounds is Stone Cold Steve Austin, a man who hasn't wrestled since 2003, really speaks on WWE's star building credentials. But if we look away from today's WWE, you see all the timeless moments it has created over the last sixty years, some I've already named. WWE's work in the 80s and 90s made wrestling what it is today and for that, I can't hate this company, All the memories of the Attitude Era and the poorly aged women's segments or a bloody Steve Austin in a Sharpshooter, they're all timeless and forever live on on the WWE Network, if I was writing this review fifteen years ago I would have no choice to give WWE a solid ten, but alas, they're last ten years stop me from that. 8. 5 |

Das jetzige Roster ist sehr ordentlich, aber WWE nutzt einfach zu wenig Potenzial der Talente wie Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Neville, Anderson & Gallows, und die komplett verschwendete Cruiserweight Division bei RAW die vielleicht nur 10-15 Minuten Screentime bekommt. Gute Fehden und Matches sind ja da wie mit Sami Zayn und Kevin Owens, andererseits existiert noch das grauenvoll gebookte Wrestlemania 32. Großartige Wrestler bekommen einen Push wie AJ Styles, aber warum zur Hölle versucht man das Gleiche mit Roman Reigns? ! SDLive macht zurzeit fast alles richtig und RAW fast alles falsch. Die 7 Punkte sind für die großartige Vergangenheit, die starke Attitude Era und das Entertainment (auch heute noch). Dennoch wäre WWE ohne alldem weitaus weniger wert, den schon während der Ruthless-Aggression Era war die Talfahrt mit der PG vorprogrammiert. |

The characters were cartoony at times with horrible gimmicky characters in the early and mid 90s, mid 00s, and even now with how some NXT talents have looked recently. Vince McMahon has always had his hand over this company and while he was cooking in the late 90s many including I would say he started really losing his touch in the late 00s or so. WWE has some of the most iconic moments in wrestling history and that's why I cant rate them any lower but I can't say they are perfect either.. If you like more cinematic storylines (Not Lucha Underground level but solid) and aren't as much of a mark for the wrestling, WWE is for you. |

Die Schwachpunkte liegen auf der Hand: Gelegentlich wird das 'E' zu groß geschrieben, zur vollen wrestlerischen Entfaltung kommen im technischen Sinne nicht alle Worker. Gelegentlich gibt es geschmacklose Storylines, merkwürdiges Booking und streitbares Personalmanagament. Dafür gibt es einen - zugegeben - symbolischen Punkt abzug. Aber ich bin und bleibe ein WWE-Mann und dazu stehe ich. |

I mean, when I started watching it in 1990 I was a complete mark and the whole Wrestlemania 6 event blew my mind. (Orton und Edge ausgenommen) Die 2 Punkte gibts für die gute alte Zeit mit ihren Stars wie HBK, SCSA, The Rock, HHH, etc. Mainstream-Wrestling ist einfach toter als Tod! Seit alles auf Hochglanz, kinderfreundlich und in HD gezeigt wird, ist es einfach nur mehr ein Graus! Wenn ein kindisches Stable wie New Day, das sich Einhörner aufsetzt (WTF), dann bleibt einem nichts anderes mehr übrig, als den Fernseher abzuschalten, oder eine DVD von früher einzulegen. Sollte Hunter nach seiner Übernahme der WWE nicht gelingen das Programm wieder enrsthafter zu gestalten, dann kann ich nichts anderes mehr hoffen als das sich immer mehr Zuschauer abwenden und die WWE stirbt! Wenn ich gutes Wrestling sehen will, dann schau ich besser Lucha Underground, ROH, NJPW oder sogar TNA. |

In 2021, it has accrued a roster stacked with talent, but is an incredibly poor product, devoid of creativity and a sad, waste of potential. After close to 20 years of weak programming, the promotion simply cannot be classed as 'adequate'. |

It is the only promotion in wrestling history to completely dominate it's competition like that and whether for good or ill you have to respect it. From an entertainment aspect, even during its darkest days the promotion has something going for it; for example during the "New Generation" era when ratings reached an all-time low we had Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels to give us fantastic matches and even now with fan apathy at its highest WWE still produces one of the most enjoyable wrestling shows with NXT. |

Sie selbst bzeichnen sich ja auch schon als "Sports Entertainment. " Sie haben zwar einige talentierte und gute Leute dabei, aber dermaßen unlogische, vorhersehbare und langweilige Storylines, dass man die guten Momente im Jahr an einer Hand abzählen kann. Das Produkt ist eines Marktführers nicht würdig, und ich kann zwar verstehen, wie man einzelne Wrestler abfeiert, aber wie man diese Promotion abfeiern kann, ist mir ein Rätsel. Für mich schon lange nicht mehr bzw. kaum noch schauenswert. Außerdem werden permanent die gleichen Leute gepusht (John Cena lässt grüßen. ) und das größte Ding in der WWE ist seit jeher Vince McMahons Ego. |

| 1398 | 20.12.2018 | Telecine | 6.0 | WWE hat in den letzten Jahren sehr stark an Reiz verloren, was meines Erachtens daran liegt, dass man die Balance verloren hat. Diese war vor einigen Jahren noch recht gut; Entertainment und alberne Comedysegmente gab es zwar auch, aber es gab immer mal wieder eine richtig gute Storyline oder ein gutes Match, so dass man immer dran geblieben ist. Mittlerweile ist das ziemlich aus dem Gleichgewicht geraten und man sieht viel zu viel Material bei Raw, SmackDown oder Network Specials, was einen nicht wirklich interessiert und mehr Sättigungsbeilage ist. Das ist ein klarer Trend nach unten und ein Schritt hin zur Belanglosigkeit. Dennoch hat WWE immer noch den höchsten Standard, was Produktionswerte angeht, was auch immer in meine Bewertung einfließt. Und wer weiß, vielleicht bringt man das Schiff ja dann doch irgendwann wieder auf Kurs. Das Potenzial ist ja da. |

Klar hat sich die WWE im Laufe ihren Bestehens verändert, aber es sind auch die Zuschauer die sich verändern. Wenn man langjähriger WWE Anhänger ist und man schon alles gesehen hat, was die WWE ihren Fans präsentierte, dann kann man sich einfach für nichts mehr begeistern. Da sitzt man wie ein Fels in der Brandung mit null Reaktion vor dem TV oder Live im Publikum, während andere abfeiern. Zuschauer, Konsumenten oder Fans, wie auch immer man sie nennen mag, haben im Allgemeinen hohe Ansprüche, Ansprüche die von Zeit zu Zeit immer schwerer zu befriedigen sind, wenn man - wie ich am anfang schon erwähnte - schon alles gesehen hat. Man kann von einem Unternehmen das, schon alles erdenkliche zeigte, nicht erwarten, das es das, was es zeigte neu erfindet. |
