Dennoch hat WWE immer noch den höchsten Standard, was Produktionswerte angeht, was auch immer in meine Bewertung einfließt. Und wer weiß, vielleicht bringt man das Schiff ja dann doch irgendwann wieder auf Kurs. Das Potenzial ist ja da. |

We have the network, which if teenage me would have known I could watch everything thats ever happened (to my knowledge) I would not have believed it. 10 Dollar PPVs are great too. We still have some of the petty, bullying, corporate nature that keeps WWE from becoming perfect and will never quite allow them to be 'cool'. NXT is the closest thing to cool though. Mr. McMahon turned 73 yesterday, and for as insane as he is, he truly has taken professional wrestling way beyond what prospects existed even ten years ago. Hopefully when he passes the reigns down to HHH and Stephanie (or who knows, succession is a strange thing), things continue to grow in the right direction. The advancements into the UK, and the EVOLVE deal is a huge play for the future. Do not be surprised to see WWE establish feeder promotions in Mexico and Japan soon, possibly even more places. There is room for improvement, and it is easy to hate the EVIL Corp King of the Mountain, but WWE is much better today than it was ten years ago. |

Außerdem waren die Topguys Kevin Nash und Lex Luger :D Gut, das man dann Austin installierte und ein gewisser Triple H auf der Bildfläche erschien, ab da wurde alles gut ;D Sind und bleiben "notgedrungen" das Non-Plus-Ultra in Sachen Mainstreamwrestling, da es in der Sparte einfach keine Konkurrenz gibt. In sachen Pro-Wrestling sehe ich andere Promotions doch weiter vorne; NJPW, AJPW, ROH, vllt. noch AAA. Und Lucha Underground hat mir auch ziemlich Spaß gemacht. |

Also how in the world can you fuck up so bad a match between Styles and Nakamura... two awesome wrestlers that had an awesome match in Japan but in WWE they had three matches and they all weren't really great. The way they book the women is pathetic, I find it very insulting and hypocritical when they talk about Women's Wrestling Revolution when they horribly book the women and it's really rare to see a really good Women's Match. I know the Women can be just as great as the guys. |

Von den großen TV-Promotions also WWE, WCW, ECW und TNA war und ist sie die beste Liga. Die größte Stärke der WWE ist sicherlich die Präsentation. Die Qualität der Videopackages, die Dekoration der Halle, das Artwork usw. sind unerreicht von anderen Promotions. Dazu kommt ihr enorer Nachwuchsförderungsapparat mit den best möglichen Trainern. Die dort weiterentwickelten Talente tun sich vor Allem in NXT hervor. NXT alleine zeugt von etwas, das keine andere Liga außer WWE zu bieten: Den Split in zwei Teile, sodass sowohl Casual Fans als auch Smart Marks auf ihre Kosten kommen. Bei NXT wird sehr vieles sowohl was die Stories aber vor Allem was die Matches und das Booking angeht richtig gemacht. Allerdings ist es auch das auf das In-Ring Geschehen fokussierte Produkt. Im Main Roster liegt die Betonung mehr auf den Sotries, was dazu führt das obwohl man eines der besten Roster der Welt hat, man nur selten die besten Matches der Welt produziert, was auch an teilweise eher traditionell denkendem liegt, welches Erscheinung und Kraft über Fähigkeiten stellt. Dennoch hat die WWE, auch wenn ihre Shows nicht die Qualität großer Indypromotions erreichen, für das was sie ist auch viel richtig gemacht. Die heutige Zeit ist für die WWE besonders schwer, da Casual Fans und Internet Smart Marks mehr denn je aufeinander treffen. Die WWE stellt sich dem, wenn auch teilweise nicht ganz vollherzig ( siehe Women´s Revolution, Crusierweight Division etc. ). Alles in Allem kreiert sie aber auch überlebensgroße Momente wie keine andere Liga, sodass sie trotz ihrer Makel für eine Mainstreamliga wirklich gut ist und daher halte ich 8 Punkte für richtig. |

It's also a shame that it has also had countless failures and let downs over its history, as well. Awful is the status quo in the WWE, with many moments of mediocrity, and brief glimpses of excellence that usually happen in spite of themselves. One major example of this was Daniel Bryan. He had become their biggest star more or less on his own; not out of some forced-down-your-throat, war-of-attrition case like Cena or Roman. And it's because he had connected to the audience in such a magnificent way, that they were forced to let him have his time to shine (regrettably, Bryan's time as a competitor is probably over). WWE's booking is consistently terrible, to the point where any time something exciting seems to happen, you have to ask not if, but when, and how they'll **** it up. Their writing is equally unbearable; no matter how charismatic their performers may be, they're forced to follow a hollow script of what their writing team thinks makes wrestlers who they are, and not allowing the wrestlers the freedom to express themselves and have them connect to the audience emotionally and authentically. No wrestler there feels special in the way a Hogan, Stone Cold or Rock did, and it's astounding to me how they managed that with a roster that has the likes of Nakamura, Owens, Zayn, Asuka, Styles and Lesnar. It's because even with that caliber of talent, their weekly shows are so routine and monotonous. They've failed on so many opportunities to make new stars, they've failed to bolster the ratings which steadily go down year after year, but apparently they still make a ton of money, so I guess business is good and everything is fine! I only watch WWE for the brief moments of excellence I mentioned; when a feud is built up well, with wrestlers I like, and the Rumble. Everything else simply isn't worth the time. |

Ich bewerte hier ab dem Jahr 1996 da ich da angefangen habe WWE zu gucken. Also losgehts mit dem 10 Punkte System von mir :) Promos 7/10: Schwierige Entscheidung. Es gab soviele gute Promos aber so unheimlich viele schlechte! Man denke an Austin 3:16 oder an Punks Pipebomb. Die WWE war aber meisten immer gut Promos rüber zu bringen darum hier 7 Punkte. Worker 9/10: Also an Talent hat es WWE nie gemangelt nur wie man es einsetzt! Derzeitiges Roster ist sehr sehr stark! und auch früher immer top worker! 9 von 10 Storylines 6/10: Ja hier happerts! Die Attitude Storylines waren der wahnsinn aber heute schwächelt die WWE sehr mit Storytelling. 6 von 10 für insgesamt! Atmosphäre 7/10: Selbe punkt wie bei storytelling. Dennoch eine Wrestlemania ist immer noch ein "Must see" event! Matchqualität 8/10: Die Qualität der Matches sind meistens immer sauber. wenn ich einen Botch verpasse seh ich ihn eh bei Botchamania ;) aber meistens top Qualität. bis heute. Unterhaltung 7/10: Unterhalten fühl ich mich nach wie vor von der WWE, aber es fehlt heute das gewisse Etwas. Ich weiß auch nicht. Dennoch über die Jahre reicht eine 7/10. Persönliche Wertung 7/10: Auch wenn die WWE viel von ihrem damaligen Scharm verloren hat, hat sie dennoch ein sehr starkes Roster heutzutage. Fühle mich immer noch gut unterhalten kommt immer auf die Show an! Dennoch bleibt es die WWE und mit ein bisschen besseres Einsetzen des rosters und vorallem der jüngeren Talente, wäre sogar eine bessere Bewertung in der Zukunft drin! Die WWE bekam 51 Punkte von mir! 51/7= 7, 2 = 7 Punkte! |

The storylines are overplayed and boring, the matches are so average and easy to call, a casual fan can pick how a match is going to end. They need an overhaul in creative and match production. Won't be watching anytime soon, much better wrestling out there. |

For all their innumerable flaws, bad matches, cringe-inducing promos, poor booking, mismanagement of talent, this can all be counterbalanced by the pros of producing some of the best matches, rivalries, shows and events in history. The boom of wrestling can be accredited to McMahon's empire, even as WWE has entered a low-period post 2007, WWE can still entertain on occasion as it attempts to adapt its product to a modern setting with more emphasis on indy wrestling. |

Sprich auf der Straße jemanden mit dem Thema Wrestling an und, wenn er sich nicht gerade etwas auskennt, schon redet man von der WWE. Ohne die WWE würde es das Wrestling, so wie wir es heute kennen, vermutlich gar nicht geben. Der Hype wäre wohl längst nicht so groß. Aktuell schwächelt die Liga jedoch vor allem im Main Roster, sodass eine 10er Wertung für mich nicht in Frage kommt. Aufgrund der Historie, der Bedeutung und des Einfluss der WWE auf das Wrestling allgemein, ist eine 9er Bewertung in meinen Augen angebracht. Sollte es auch in der heutigen Zeit wieder bergauf gehen mit Bookingentscheidungen, dann steht der 10 nichts im Wege. |

Aber zumindest aktuell scheint die Liga ja wieder auf einem guten Weg zu sein mit den ganzen neuen NXT-Debütanten. Und vor allem muss man anerkennen, was die McMahons aus ihrem "kleinen" Territorium gemacht haben. Sie sind die unbestrittene und ungefährdete Nummer 1 im Wrestling. Das sieht man auch schon dadurch, dass die WWE fast nur mit dem Finger schnippen muss und zumindest nahezu alle Wrestler bekommt, die sie haben will. New Japan mag zwar das bessere Wrestling haben, aber wie die Wechsel von Styles, Gallows, Anderson, Balor und vor allem Nakamura zeigen, können sie in Sachen Zugkraft, sowohl für Fans als auch Aktive, kaum mithalten. Und die damalige WWF hat auch mich vor rund 25 Jahren zum Wrestlingfan gemacht, was ich ebenfalls positiv anrechnen muss. Vom Wrestling-Stil her stehe ich mittlerweile nicht mehr ganz auf den WWE-Stil, aber im Groben und Ganzen konnten mich die Shows der Liga egal aus welcher Zeitepoche eigentlich fast immer zufriedenstellen. |

Neben überragenden Workern wie AJ Styles, Cesaro (verschimmelt leider in der Tag-Team Division) oder auch Kevin Owens (hätte ja Nakamura gerne genannt, aber von seinen WWE-Matches waren eigentlich nur die gegen Zayn und Cena richtig stark, gegen Joe waren sie gut) hat man aber halt auch immer noch viele Langeweiler weit oben auf der Card. Mahal ist eine Katastrophe, Lesnar ist langweilig, Strowman ist für seine Größe sicher nicht schlecht, aber Big Man fand ich mit Ausnahme von Big Van Vader und Bam Bam schon immer langweilig und Reigns finde ich so unglaublich mittelmäßig unf für einen Dauer-Main Eventer extrem charismafrei und einschläfernd. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass AJ den Rumble gewinnt und Mahal squashen darf. Denn selbst der wohl beste Wrestler auf dem Planeten (neben Okada und Omega) wird die Nulpe Mahal nicht zu einem 3* Match ziehen könne, fürchte ich. |
