All too often, match simulations in the average wrestling game always produces the same sort of match. You decide to sim a match on a 2K game between RVD and Sabu for example, and they dont go for weapons or high risk maneuvers. Instead of going for that hardcore style, they resort to having a normal match. With this game however, the way the two CPUs interact with each other is always satisfying. Its more believable and engaging to watch. I know it might seem strange that im harping on this a lot but I really do think it matters. I mean really, this games strongest pro is its customization modes. It really feels like you can do literally anything you want. The workshop has everyone you could imagine. I havent looked it up but you can probably find IShowSpeed as a playable character with a fully customized entrance, moveset, and CPU logic. Then you have Fire Promoter. Which really puts the recent 2K GM Mode iterations to shame. Im not gonna pretend its perfect, and it certainly has many issues that need to be fixed. But overall, its a lot better than 2Ks mobile game understanding of this mode. The last thing I want to mention is the soundtrack. Its still playing in my head as im typing this review. Whoever was responsible for it deserves a raise lol. |

This is a rare occasion where a game is as fun to watch as it is to play. You could learn the ins-and-outs of how to actually play the game, but its as fun to just watch two well-made edits go at it. Speaking of edits, while the visual customization may feel a little lacking (especially if you are someone coming from the 2K series, ) the under-the-hood customization is completely unmatched, down to being able to make individual changes to each wrestler's AI. There's also just so much you can customize, custom wrestlers or managers, custom rings, custom entrances, custom music, custom referees, custom promotions, and DLCs for custom moves and parts for your wrestlers/managers/refs. Most of these (mainly rings and music) are super easy to customize, too. You can just use colors or drag-and-drop custom textures into a folder. I can't speak to the state of the PS4 workshop, but the Steam Workshop is the lifeblood of this game. There is so much community-made content that it's mind boggling. You can run a fictitious promotion using completely made up, user-made wrestlers, or just get real-world wrestlers and make dream matches. I do have one issue, that being the pricing of the DLC, with all of the DLC (Made up of a pair of Takayama charity DLCs, GM mode, 3 NJPW packs, one of which comes free with the PS4 version, some story mode scenarios, a pair of STARDOM packs, and custom entrances and parts) totalling up to about $170, which for a seven-year-old game is absolutely insane, and keeps it from a 10, but it's still an amazing game, and in my opinion, the gold standard for games that look to be more of a simulation. |

What keeps me coming back is not just the endless edits you can make, but the workshop has been active for so many years. With moves and parts craft while being a bit pricey are the best additions to the game. You can make edits actually look like the people they're supposed to be with crazy detailed faces and the gear. The moves in the game are good but the replacements in the workshop bundled in with other obscure moves are amazing! This is a top 5 wrestling game of all time for me. |

Fire Pro Wrestling World takes everything loved with Fire Pro Wrestling Returns and adds to it in a big way. 4 Attire Slots per EDIT, as many EDITs your PC can handle, new parts, new moves, new Ring Editor, more CPU Logic tendencies, and 2 of the biggest additions are the Move and Part Craft Tools. They give you the ability to actually create animations and parts that are on par with official content. This blows stuff like "Create A Finisher" from the Main WWE series away. Not only that, but you can download whole packages like full rosters and such. Fighting Road and Fire Promoter are here as the Career and Management modes. There is also licensed wrestlers in the game from NJPW and Stardom. A Tutorial is also included which is a God-send for anyone not familiar with the Fire Pro controls and mechanics. Online Play has 2 different lobbies, "Cement" and "Pro-Wrestling". Cement is about Winning, while Pro-Wrestling is about the Match Rating (you can also do Private Matches). |

I'm a PC player so the steam version has access to amazing created content with more wrestlers than you could ever need (not to mention tons of other non wrestling characters and people) I mostly watch the matches and play the Fire Promoter mode. There's nothing more satisfying than putting on a epic show and seeing the money pile up from ticket sales and merch. Fire Promoter is sadly a DLC though which is pretty meh, but I ended up buying all the DLC anyway. Steam says I've had this game open for over 1759 hours so I feel like I got my moneys worth, but buy the DLC on a steam sale because it's a bit pricey if you buy all of it. I would recommend looking into the modding community for Fire Pro as well. Honestly I've never seen better match quality in any other wrestling game. I guess some people don't like the graphics, but I've never been too obsessed with graphics in any of my games. |

The gameplay is cumbersome, the graphics just so bearable, and what is left is a cumbersome wrestling simulation that tries to depict Japanese wrestling. Fire Pro Wrestling World lost its appeal after the first few days for me. A couple of wrestlers downloaded and tried them out via the Steam Workshop. To be honest, I'd rather play the old WCW or WWE games again. Fire Pro Wrestling was never and never will be mine. 5 Points for the great edit possiblites. The rest of this game is meh. |

Ich füge hier mal einen Teil meiner Steam-Bewertung ein: Für echte Wrestling-Fans mit Affinität zu Videospielen führt nichts an diesem Titel vorbei. Im Vergleich zu den WWE2K-Spielen hat mich ein fast vergessener Beitrag aus einem amerikanischen Internet-Forum dazu verleitet, eine sehr eindrucksvolle Haltung zu übernehmen: Auch wenn die Fire-Pro-Reihe grafisch niemals an den Realismus einer traditionellen 3D-Simulation wie die SvR-Spiele herankam, so hat dies gerade beim Erstellen eigener Wrestler zu einer gesunden Eindämmung des eigenen Perfektionismus geführt. Bei Fire Pro gab es viele lustig anmutende 2D-Modelle, die niemals dem perfekten Gesicht, dem perfekten Oberkörper oder der perfekten Kleidung im 1:1-Vergleich mit ihren realen Vorbildern entsprachen. Das ist etwas, was zu WWE2K passt, aber nicht in die durchaus auch humorvolle Spielwelt von Fire Pro. Alarmierende Nachteile ergeben sich allerdings durch die Workshop-Anbindung im Zusammenhang mit DLCs: - Der Workshop-Abonnent eines Mods muss stets alle DLCs besitzen, sollte der Ersteller eines Mods diesen mit Teilen der entsprechenden DLCs aktualisieren. Um dem zu entgehen, muss jeder einzelne Mod in-game kopiert und lokal abgespeichert werden. In einem Universum mit über 1000 Wrestlern, ist das Fleißarbeit. - Jedes neue DLC stellt daher eine sozio-ökonomische Hürde dar, die dich von der Modding-Community vorerst ausschließt und zum "Nachzahlen" zwingt. Nicht jeder Modder ist dazu bereit, Non-DLC-Versionen der bestehenden Mods beizubehalten. Deshalb bleibt der Tipp hier ganz groß stehen: SPEICHERT JEDEN EURER MODS EINZELN AB! Wenn ihr selbst welche erstellt, dann sind sie selbstredend lokal verfügbar. Trotz der teuren DLCs ein Hammer-Spiel! |

The old saying, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' probably applies here as Fire Pro has earned a rabid cult following for its acclaimed engine, but I still think improvements could be made. The striking system, for starters. No matter how many times I play Fire Pro, I can never seem to get the striking down. The grappling is easy to learn with practice, but even experienced Fire Pro vets have flat-out told me the striking is near-impossible to master. I'm also not a fan of the selling where guys often get up way too fast. I've had 30 minute matches where I hit my finisher and go for a top rope move on my opponent, only for the opponent to get up before I can even jump off the top. Other than that, it's a fun game for the most part and it's always nice to have alternatives on the wrestling video game market. |

Über die Grafik lässt sich streiten, es ist eben der Stil von FPW, dennoch sieht es ganz lustig aus Alles im allem, fürn Multiplayermodus und der Creation Suite gibts 4 Punkte |

You can really simulate more realistic matches than in any of the WWE 2K series games. It's maybe the best wrestling game I have ever played and the best wrestling game you can found today. |
