We got some upgrades like Rest Holds, Loading screens in between entrances were removed & pins & submissions were "upgraded" more like downgraded and the new reversal limit was abysmal. The showcase was basically WWE 13's showcase but more Stone Cold oriented. An issue in the game is the lack of anything to do. MyCareer is okay but lacks in oomph & after showcase their isn't much to be done and the ugly ass menus PHEW yuck! [***1/2]"
[5.0] "Mich hat der Storymodus im Vergleich zum Vorgänger eher weniger gefesselt, zudem bekommt man spätestens ab jetzt das Gefühl jedes Jahr das gleiche Spiel mit aktualisiertem Roster zu kaufen."
[10.0] "Das allerbest WWE 2K bis heute. Und es ist auch das einzigste gute was für den PC erhältlich ist. Das Legendenroster ist top und bis heute unerreicht. Ansonsten ist das Spiel im Vergleich zu 2K15 und den Nachfolgern von 2K in allen Dingen besser. Es sind auch wieder viele Modi zurück gekommen u. a Create a Arena. Ansonsten bleibt noch der sehr gut gemachte Austinshowcase, der die gesamte Karriere von Steve Austin schildert, Universemode oder Exhibition. Einzige Kritikpunkte sind der schlechte und monotone Karrieremodus. Ansonsten ist das Spiel mit mehreren Spielern im Multiplayer wieder sehr spaßig. Mit Mods kann man sogar am PC Hulk Hogan wieder ins Spiel einbinden und andere Wrestlermodelle durch neuere verbesserte ersetzen. Das Gameplay gefällt mir von den ganzen WWE spielen bis heute am allerbesten. Die Geräusche, der Spielfluss, einfach wie das Spiel funktioniert wurde nie in meinen Augen besser gemacht bei den 2K-Spielen, als bei diesen hier. Ich bin bis heute bei dem Teil hier geblieben. Die Mods die es für dieses Spiel gibt und generell die Möglichkeiten bestehenden Wrestlern neue Kleidungen zugeben bzw. neue Gimmicks bekommt für mich auch einen langanhaltenden Spielspaß. Auch die Menüführung, sowie auch die klasse Soundtracks der Wrestler im Menü, wie auch die vielen einzigartigen Legenden wie Million Dollar Man, Miss Elizabeth oder auch Paul Bearer hatte man nie wieder in den Spielen gehabt. Für mich definitiv 10 Punkte wert."
[6.0] "Some strange physics and a joy that sometimes feels slow, but it really is an entertaining game (especially for a nostalfan), the roster is quite complete for the time, but the character creation mode is quite limited complicating the creation of caws. 6/10"
[9.0] "Last good WWE and wrestlng game in generally. The legend roster is totally awesome. Only missing point is Hogan. I still have my PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 copys of this game. Both version were epic for specific reasons (ps3 was more arcade, ps4 simulation). After WWE 2K16 the series is running downhill and ended with WWE 2K20 in a total disaster."
[8.0] "It's true. Thats the only good modern WWE game that you can have. If you like the old school wrestling with WWF, WCW & ECW Superstars, than this game is for YOU! Espcially if you are a Stone Cold Steve Austin diehard and a attitude era fan. Only thing this game really had a need were story designer like in the old ps3 wrestling games (last seen on WWE 2K14), season mode like in ps2 games and a good booking mode. Also the biggest lack in this game is Hulk Hogan who was suspended at this time for racist scandal. Hogan would made this roster (which was awesome anyway) only more epic. I know you can mod him in on PC version but. I only had this game for PlayStation 3&4 (yeah I rebuyed this game later for playstation 3, just for the better more arcade styled gameplay, also seen from the older ps3 games. The ps3 version also had the old matches still in like special referee, inferno matches, backstage brawl, which were completely missed in the ps4 version... ) Unfortunately, this also the last game with The Iron Sheik (in as Col. Mustafa) and William Regal (who also have his WCW Lord Steven Regal Persona in this game). Legends like these should be in every game. This game deserved the 8 points. Is also still highly playble in these days, espcially if you play for the legends. (it's honestly more a legend game, than a WWE 2016 game anyway :D)"

[6.0] "This game was fine for what it is the career mode was ok pretty bad at times but in NXT was pretty fun to play and the 2k showcase was pretty cool to go threw the career of stone cold. The roster was good brought alot of people who were not in 2k15 most of them being NXT guys and people like Sin cara, Zack ryder, and Heath slater. The game was fun but I can only recommend it to the people who just like to collect wrestling games anyways it is a fine game it is better than last years game for sure and heck it's even better than the next game I will talk about 2k17 later and 2k15 too but anyways goodbye and see you next time I rate something."
[2.0] "Erstmal wow. Eine Gesamtwertung von 8. 00? Warum auch immer. WWE2K16... wo soll man anfangen? Schlechtes Kick Out und Submission System. Man konnte völlig grundlos nur 20 Wrestler etc pro 24 Stunden runterladen. Die Server waren zudem sehr instabil. Die Grafik sieht für 2015 teilweise immer noch unfassbar schlecht aus. Vor allem die Charaktermodelle sehen teils immer noch schlechter als bei alten SvR Teilen. Ist mir immer noch unbegreiflich. Storymodus ist wie immer nicht sonderlich gut. Man kann keine Themes mehr hochladen, was im CAW Modus ein riesen Minuspunkt ist. Leider zuviele Bugs, Glitches und Clippingfehler. Da ist leider nichts mehr vom Charme der alten Spiele übriggeblieben. Sehr schade, dass mittlerweile auch nur noch ein WWE Spiel pro Jahr für die Konsolen kommt. So hat man auch keine Alternative. Bleibt einem nur noch, die alten Spiele zocken und hoffen, dass irgendwann der Entwickler wechselt oder sie das Ruder selbst rumreißen. Ist mit WWE2K17 & 18 ja leider nicht passiert. Schade, aber das Spiel würde ich maximal Leuten empfehlen, die keine anderen Wrestling Games und alte Konsolen besitzen und unbedingt Wrestling zocken wollen. Ansonsten auf keinen Fall kaufen."

Awesome showcase, nice roster, MyCarrer needs some fix, but it is in the right way, the most bad thing is this game is some characters models, some is horrible and don't even looks like the wrestler, guys like Triple H, Cena, Orton, Rusev, Austin has a really great models, looks just like in real life, but Y2J, Wyatt is horrendous, i hope the guys will work more on this no 2K17, overall good game, enjoayble, fun, dense roster to revive any match you want."

Das Gameplay ist auch gut und vor allem das neue Pin, Submission und Reversal System können überzeugen. Der Showcase Modus mit Stone Cold macht genauso Spaß wie der Universe Modus. Dazu ist der Roster auch einfach nur klasse und mit dem Limit von 100 heruntergeladenen Wrestlern, kann man auch die Wrestler herunterladen, die es nicht in das Spiel geschafft haben."
[7.0] "This was a good WWE game. Universe mode was good. Online mode was really fun. The roster was amazing. What really sucked was all the DLC and no four- horsewomen. The Steve Austin Mode was good and challenging. I didnt like the grappling and submission systems though. The creation sweet was better than ever in this game"
[8.0] "Nach dem mehr als enttäuschenden 2K15 wieder ein gutes Spiel, das in Sachen Roster gut an das von 2K14 heran kommt. Leider hat man nicht Charlotte, Sasha Banks und Becky Lynch noch mit ins Game genommen. Bei 2K17 werden sie wohl dabei sein, aber dann wäre ein potentieller Divas Revolution-Mode wieder veraltet, da diese nun schon fast vorüber ist (sofern es denn überhaupt eine echte Revolution war). Der Steve Austin- sowie HoF-Showcase sind an sich zwar ganz nett, aber nach einmaligem durchspielen aber auch ziemlich öde. Zumal große Teile davon bereits im Attitude-Mode (WWE'13) und Wrestlemania-Mode (2k14) vor kam. Aber 3:16 konnte man halt gut mit 2K16 vermarkten. Schade auch, dass man das 3 Stages of Hell-Match aus dem Stone Cold-Showcase nicht auch mit in den Universe-Mode übernommen hat."
[7.0] "Spiel ist ja an sich nicht schlecht, aber leider null unterstützung von 2K. Also vieles immer noch mehr als Fragwürdig. Manche sachen sind noch von Smackdown 1 (1999). Na ja das Roster ist ok, aber ich persönlich würde es anders einteilen. Ist einfach für die heutige Zeit ziemlich mager. Aber ab und zu ganz lustig."
[6.0] "An sich ist das Spiel ja gut, aber leider gibt es einige Dinge die mich sehr stören. Erst heute habe ich im Universe Mode ein Match zwischen Daniel Bryan(Ich) und Roman Reigns(CPU) gespielt um den IC-Titel. Reigns kontert erstmal eiskalt 3x mein Running Knee aus, dann noch einmal den Yes! -Lock. Also schon 4 Finisher Symbole umsonst erarbeitet. Dann sitzt der Yes! -Lock 2x auch, aber die Stamina ist zu niedrig und Reigns kommt locker raus. Also 6 Finisher Symbole die mir nix gebracht haben. Und Reigns kommt einfach immer aus dem Cover raus und das obwohl er richtig auf die Mütze bekommen hat(egal ob mit Pin-Combo oder nicht). Ging bestimmt 30 Minuten so, bis ich dann die Nase voll hatte und durch Countout gewonnen habe -_- Ich finde das Müll, dass die KI einfach so overpowered ist. Was mir auch nicht gefällt ist MyCareer. Man kämpft andauernd gegen die selben Superstars, die Interviews sind langweilig, die Fehden sind bei mir bisher immer gleich aufgebaut und das schlimmste: Ich bin ein Heel obwohl ich alles versuche um Face zu turnen. Irgendwie hänge ich da fest. Das neue Submission System find ich inzwischen gut auch wenn ich mich am Anfang schwer getan habe. Das Roster ist auch nicht schlecht und die Creations von den anderen Spielern sind auch gut zu benutzen. Der Showcase war auch nicht schlecht. Schwach finde ich noch das Online so wenig los ist. Das dauert ne Ewigkeit bis man mal ein Match starten kann und an Tag Team Matches ist gar nicht zu denken. Da findet es bei mir nie Gegner. Außerdem labern die Kommentatoren wieder ziemlichen Müll. Beispiel: Egal wo die Show stattfindet Cole labert jedes Mal von Bruno Sammartino. Immerhin sagt JBL oft Maggle ;) Naja insgesamt 6 Punkte."
[9.0] "Can't give this a full blown 10, but its damn close. This is the first game in a long awhile that has held my interest past a few months. Largely in part to the Universe mode. The fantasy matchups and booking keeps it flowing. Pls the matches are flat out fun to play. So many matchups I haven't even visited yet. its that extensive. The first few months of gameplay were awesome. Dabbling in the showcase mode was a great blast from the past. Carrer mode died early on for me. It needs a TON of work but progression will help that. The CAWs are fantastic and downloading missing characters from the community builds the roster even more I play these games yearly, but skipped out on 2k15 because I knew that the first game was going to be a stepping stone. Ala, NBA 2k15. Heres to hoping that 2k17 takes it even further."

NEEDS custom music back on the PS4 version, other than that, I can't think of anything I'd really change about it.. oh, needs more CAW slots.... 100 just doesn't do enough for me... 200.. now that would be fantastic, cause then I could actually have my full ECW, WCW, and WWF rosters back."
[9.0] "The game has a very amazing combination of eras of WWE (Hulkamania, New Generation, Attitude, Modern) plus WCW and ECW. Althrough has the same gameplay as WWE '13, it doesnt mean that is bad. Except for the common errors in animation and objects, its very cool to wrestle with friends, a very good inversion"

Die Grafik ist sensationell, das Catchen wurde viel realistischer, das Erstellen von Superstars macht wieder richtig Spaß, das Roster ist unglaublich umfangreich und der Karrieremodus ist wirklich nicht schlecht - obwohl ich hier auch das einzige Manko sehe, da man meiner Meinung nach zu wenig Freiheiten hat und das Ganze nocg noch ziemlich Ablaufmäßig und nach einer Zeit auch öde und gleich rüberkommt. Mit dem Universemodus kann ich nicht viel anfangen und mich stört, dass man nut zwei Kleidungen pro Wrestler erstellen kann. Da das Positive aber deutlich überwiegt, gebe ich gerne 10 Punkte. Dieses Jahr hat man sich wirklich sehr viel Mühe gegeben!"

The graphics are great, the Austin showcase mode is a lot of fun, Career Mode is definitely better than it was on 2K15 + the roster is amazing. And even though I still am not a big fan of the background matchmaking thing that 2K introduced to us in 2K15, it works way better than it did in 2K15. So that's not much of a problem anymore. Overall 2K16 is easily one of the better wrestling games ever made."
