The main issue that I have with this belt is that it's clearly owned by the people who hold it. They are nice looking belts, but you could easily just buy a belt, and name yourself champion. I would like to see what this has in store for itself over the years, especially as it's defended for the first time this week. I can't see the titles ever moving to someone new, which really defeats the object of a championship belt. EDIT: The belts have still not been defended (Half a year later). I understand the issues with it being a 6-Man championship, and also having one member be mostly in Japan, and also owned by the champions... But that also asks the question.. Why have these belts? Anyone could just call themselves the champs! |
