504.10.2022Loki Hipster God6.0I'm sure most will agree that WALTER's title reign was the highpoint for this belt and truly made it feel like a prestigious championship worth fighting for. However, nearly every other reign has been disappointing. Pete Dunne and Marty Scurll's runs with the belt had a lot of potential, but were constantly marred by ridiculously overbooked matches with shoddy finishes. The PROGRESS Championship could have been seen as a workhorse belt, similar to what the ROH Championship used to be, where the best wrestlers have the best matches. Instead, it's almost become the Vince Russo belt, where so many defenses have a million run-ins that cheapen the prestige behind it. Then you also have pointless title switches like Pastor William Eaver where they seemed to occur just to pop the live crowd, but served no real purpose in the long run. On the flipside of that, you had a terrible wrestler like Jimmy Havoc holding the title for an unbearably long 609 days. So yeah, this title is the definition of a mixed bag.

1004.11.2021benny5bellys4.0It really hasn't felt important since Will lost it other than WALTER's run with it as the completely lost any decent ideas on how to book it. A real low light was Travis Banks (regardless of what has come out since) a total mess and like much of Progress booking, just a rehash of Fight Club Pro storylines. Cara Noirs run has non existent buzz or visibility.

2321.01.2019Cort3z6.0This title has gotten better over time from my pov, but to me (except for the last 4 champions) the championship matches so far had been lackluster, and even overplayed i. e. Ospreay vs Scurll. Eaver's run was obviously the worst, Dunne's was the most relevant, & Bank's was the best to me. This title has soo much potential to be one of the best in the world but right now all i can give is a 6. 5.

5203.04.2016steviecw10.0This title gets better every year. From Rampage Brown to Mark Andrews to Jimmy Havoc to Will Ospreay to Marty Scurll... one hell of an emotional journey. Delighted for it to be defended internationally and renamed a World Championship.
5328.03.2016Spartak878.0One of the best two titles in the UK. Loved the Havoc vs Ospreay match at Chapter 20. One of the best matches I have seen outside of the US and Japan.
