I think over the past year or two the title has gotten the love it deserves, and that really helps. The Tekkers feuds with Golden Ace, GoD, Goto-HASHI and Naito/SANADA really picked this title up and put it where it belongs."

[4.0] "A championship mostly used to give deserving folks like ZSJ a belt to carry to the ring without positioning them too high in the totem and thus avoid hurting sensitive inflated egos. The big problem is differently from AJPW and even BJW, NJPW never really produced real tag teams. They have had folks who worked well together (say, Kojima and Tenzan) but never a real successful homegrown tag team. This has been the case since the 80's: Gedo and Jado are merely continuing the tradition of mediocrity. With the NJPW roster so depleted and AEW and WWE locked in a bidding war over talent it's likely this championship will sink even further into irrelevance even after things will return to a semblance of sanity."
[4.0] "Ok look, recently this title has been booked really really poorly, you know? It is like a hot potato belt between GOD, a Babyface Tag Team and another Heel Tag Team. A good example of this is FinJuice winning the belts on WK, just to lose on a rematch to GOD... who lost to Tanahashi & Ibushi. You see? Two pointless reigns with zero defenses and not a single purpose. Gedo doesn't know how to book a Tag Team Division and mantain it consistent."

[7.0] "There was a time where these belts were more prestigious because there were less titles. Now they have the same problem as the Junior tag team belts: not enough teams. G. O. D are a strong and credible team but rarely puts memorable matches. EVIL and SANADA are a good team but are mostly thrown together in this division in the really big shows where they struggle to get singles matches. I don't understand why they don't put Zack Sabre Jr. and Minoru Suzuki/Taichi in this division more often, it's an example of a team that could easily elevate the prestige of these titles."
[8.0] "After having spent much more time watching New Japan I have decided to up my rating, the booking of the feuds and the actual matches for these belts have always been top quality. They are just missing that something extra special to get that 10 rating."
[4.0] "Leider auch hier, wie bei den JR Tag Titles, kaum Teams und diejenigen, die die Titel halten, sind keine NJPW-Regualrs. Der Titel wurde auch in letzter Zeit oft gewechselt und das schadet dem Titel sehr. Die Matches um die Titel sind dazu nicht wirklich besonders und oft das schwächste Match der Show. Auch hier könnte ich mir vorstellen, dass man in naher Zukunft Teams mit den Youngboys bilden kann und diese dann um den Titel kämpfen lässt."

Die Anwerber liefern ab und zu ordentliche Matches, werden aber oft übertrumpft. Insgesamt ausreichend, nicht mehr."
[4.0] "This title is the weakest point of NJPW shows these days. Since GBH has left title picture those matches are constantly heatless even when they're worked good(Briscoes vs bucks). It feels like they're biding time till the tag league."
[6.0] "Getting tired of the way these belts are booked, both tag divisions are floundering due to segregation, it's just a set of belts to watch lumbering gaijins and occasionally GBH pound eachother, it's only hampering these belts."
[4.0] "These tag titles are always the low point of every njpw show they are on for years now, with too many gajin champs, too much focus on these tag titles instead of the jr tag titles and at best 3 star matches have made these titles seem horrible. I do not know how classic new japan treated this but they need to merge the jr and these heavyweight tag team divison to at least create some intrest in the titles."
