[9.0] "At this point in NJPW's history, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight title is the second oldest championship in New Japan history. A fascinating history with some of the greatest junior heavyweights to ever wrestle holding this title. You can list the names alone from the 80s late 90s to see how talented the NJ juniors were. In the late 2000s, the junior title becomes less prominent despite talented champions like Minoru Tanaka and Kanemoto. One of the most consistent titles despite that, without a doubt."

[10.0] "Goddamn what a history, the absolute best junior heavyweights ever have won it, it has gifted us legendary, amazing matches."

[9.0] "One of the best examples of a title for lighter guys. Definitely more of a work rate title which has meant the match quality is normally great. Legendary champions throughout its history. One concern is in the modern era more wrestlers want to move up to the heavyweight division which means the best are not in the Jrs division."

[10.0] "One of my favorite titles in wrestling. I feel like it's fallen off from its former glory, but its being held by great champions and usually always guarantees great matches."

[7.0] "Solid title, but I've been watching for the last 6 years and I can't remember more than 4 stories for it. It's clear that the title is not equal to the Heavyweight title in prestige. Surprisingly the last 2-3 years the Heavyweight and Junior matches have started becoming interchangeable, with most New Japan juniors working an almost identical style with the big bois. And that's bad, basically the division has lost it's identity."

[10.0] "Over the past 35 years I can think of only a couple of IWGP Jr Heavyweight/J-Crown belt holders I deem not to be championship material, and even they were decent wrestlers anyway. Not always booked well but the mind-boggling amount of huge names who held this belt and the equally mind-boggling number of incredible matches fought over it makes this one of the top 5 belts of the world, easy."

[10.0] "Once Jushin Liger won the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship, it quickly became the most prestigious title in wrestling for lighter weight wrestlers, and it has maintained that status for over 25 years. It also helps that title matches are usually of a very high standard."

[7.0] "The title received a lot of damage in the last 10 months, reigns with few defenses and even treated like a hot potato. Still, it still represents great quality in terms of fighting and technique. So I'll leave 7 for the prestige."

[8.0] "A meaningful title respected by its promotion, making the WWE Cruiserweight Championship laughable by comparison, and fought for in some brilliant matches by men who can believably be pushed as the best junior heavyweights worldwide. Hopefully the recent pattern of short title reigns will not continue, however, and multi-man contests will remain a novelty, or the belt's prestige may be somewhat tarnished."

Kushida als Ace ist die perfekte Wahl und er wertet den Titel meiner Meinung nach sehr auf. KUSHIDA war & ist der ACE der Division und konnte sich öfter gegen BUSHI, Ospreay & Co durchsetzen, doch seit The Ticking Time Bomb hier ist, gibt es endlich eine große Fehde um diesen Titel. Schöne Storys, überragende Matches und starkes Booking. 9 Punkte."

[9.0] "Man muss NJPW schon zu gute halten, dass sie jeden Titel ernst nehmen und gut verkaufen, so auch den Title der Junior Heavyweights. Es fällt einem natürlich immer Jushin Thunder Liger ein, wenn man über disen Titel spricht, somit kann sich jeder weitere Titelträger auf seine Nachfolge berufen, was eine Regentschaft sehr attraktiv macht."

[9.0] "Wenn man mal sieht wer diesen Titel schon alles hatte:Owen Hart, Jushin Liger oder auch Tiger Mask. Heutzutage auch mit leuten wie Devitt, Ibushi oder Omega. Diese Titelträger zeigen einfach das dieser Titel Prestige hat, Respektiert wird und vorallem Grandiose Matches liefert."
