Even better than the Bullet Club which is shocking considering Bullet Club is the main driving force for New Japan Pro Wrestling. Los Ingobernables de Japon has so many great members and such great storytelling and booking, it's no wonder that they go so strong in 2024."

The storyline dragged on WAYYY too long and when the reveal came it was an auraless Adam Cole who was injured so it just felt meh and then the stagnant booking after is killing their push."

[9.0] "Even as a David Finlay defender I must admit the group having a weird dynamic where 2/4 members are more charismatic than the leader gets a little weird as Gabriel Kidd and Drilla Moloney often times find themselves stealing the spotlight. On the other hand it's the most focused version of the group (love ya Jay but your BC got a bit out of hand) we've had in a while and they've expanded on the frat boy gimmick to include why they're this way despite their LADOJO training. Hopefully Finlay gets some more reps in on the mic as he's a good wrestler but overall good faction."

[2.0] "To quote a line from one of the greatest movies of all time: "Look how they massacred my boy! " Aside I never cared for The Acclaimed (even at their peak in popularity) or The Gunn Club, I'm more upset that they've dragged down Jay White. This man's AEW run has been going downhill since his MJF feud, minus his performance in the Continental Classic, and this shows it. Jay White shouldn't be a comedy guy involved in a DX styled faction with their unfunny immature humor and should be one of their top stars. If this faction was just The Acclaimed and The Gunn Club (even though they were paired at one point and split up for whoever knows why), I wouldn't have cared enough to give it attention, but dragging Jay White down would be like taking CM Punk and putting him in the Spirit Squad or something. Overall, I don't care for this faction and hope Jay goes solo and leaves behind this garbage."

[0.0] "House of Torture is essentially the result of regurgitating the worst parts of NWO 2000, but the worst offender of this stable is that it has permanently damaged all the potential SHO and EVIL had as performers. All their matches are riddled with the laziest and shittiest American-style heel interferenes, which perplexes me that a guy like Gedo who was so ahead of everyone during his booking work in the 2010's, now has started to take influence from (arguably) one of the worst aspects of American wrestling. I hope this stable is disassociated in the most unceremonious way possible, as that would be the only fitting end for this atrocious stable and anything more glorifying would be a disappointment and undeserved."

Well have to see how things unfold in the upcoming months. Considering the amount of work they've been putting in will indeed influence my final rating. A rating of 6 seems reasonable, especially considering that only AOP seems to have been actively contributing to the The Final Testaments efforts so far."

[6.0] "An interesting stable, they certainly have the talent to back themselves up but the lack of a mouthpiece hurts them. WWE isnt lacking for heel stables between the Judgement Day, the Bloodline, the Final Prayer or Imperium, so for the Pride to find a spot to squeeze into is proving difficult and beyond beating on some midcard baby faces they have trouble gaining heat; If theyre even being booked as heels anymore since their feud with Kross Final Prayer group. That being said, I do love the more serious, business focused characters of Ford and Dawkins, and seeing more Bobby is always a plus. Overall, while the booking is a little wonky, I like the Pride and I have high hopes for them."

[1.0] "I'm still in shock of how awful this stable truly was, from the booking, to the Go-Away heat, to almost every bad skit drawn up and put on TV whether it would be in matches or segments, this faction/gimmick is incredibly awful. The Outcasts will go down as the WORST stable in AEW history, next to QTV (a less relevant but seemingly just-as-bad stable in it's own right), and is a legitimate contender for the WORST faction of the 2020s decade thus far. Got to give credit to one person who was the only one worth watching from the stable both before, during and after, which is Toni Storm, her solid in ring work along with her incredibly good character work from after she left will make people like me remember her less in this awful stable and remember more of her really good 'Timeless' character which came after she left (even if some fans don't like that character, I do so that's my opinion there). Ruby Soho was just an afterthought completely in this stable, and was often used as the "annoying weak link" which really made her forgettable in this stable, but maybe the WORST person and part of this stable was Saraya, who I have never liked and many share the same sentiment, she seemed to drag down this stable every time it was on TV, and she was treated like the "real major star" because of her past career being incredibly overhyped by certain agenda pushers. Saraya's presence made this group almost near unwatchable for me as she usually does with just about everything she is involved in, as I often call her Vickie Guerrero 2.0, and the "best" (more like lesser bad) timeframe of this group was when it was just Ruby and Toni in that June stretch of AEW Television. I seriously hope that this faction fades out of the mainstream AEW Women's Division as it is the biggest joke I ever saw and this circus was a trainwreck from start to middle to finish."

This group did nothing of interest really, and especially nothing to elevate any of its members (giving a belt to wheeler yuta doesnt mean he's over now). The one thing they managed to do is make me not care about Danielson, which to be honest is a genuinely impressive feat. It maybe doesnt help that their whole gimmick is "look how tough we are" and the leader is Moxley which is the epitome of a fake tough guy"

Marty Snow is a guaranteed superstar, and his crowd work and as big as he is, he is very agile and quick with a black belt in martial arts. Midas is my all time favorite member, as he is a lot like MJF. His work with the crowd and his overall wrestling style is great. Nolan Knight is a bonafide upcoming star. [6.0] "I feel like The Bang Bang Scissor Gang were brought together by a common goal. The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn as well as Bullet Club Gold, they were on The Undisputed Kingdom's hitlist in their quest to take MJF out of the picture, and now they've come together (Billy Gunn has reunited his sons in the process) to take down The Undisputed Kingdom even though they outnumber them. But with The Undisputed Kingdom preoccupied with Orange Cassidy & Best Friends at the moment, it just feels like The Bang Bang Scissor Gang merely exist currently, they're just there. Which is unfortunate because normally The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass, Bullet Club Gold, they're hot acts on their own, and The Bang Bang Scissor Gang could be a hot act with all of them combined as one unit no doubt, but sticking them in a 12 man tag against random opponents and floundering certainly doesn't do any of those guys any favors especially "Switchblade" Jay White knowing full well the huge level of star power he once had in NJPW."

[7.0] "This stable lasted for 17 months. (In comparison, Dark Order is 4 years and 9 months old, 4 years and 4 months from the start of weekly AEW programming.) It may have overstayed its welcome a little, but that is generally true of every stable: one doesn't change a story line while its working. In terms of putting members over, both Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard benefitted from membership in this stable, and it gave Anna Jay an escape route from the Dark Order. I would grant that Angelo Parker and Jake Hager really haven't "benefitted" from the group, but both are natural "background guys:" i.e. they are best in a medium-to-large stable heel. They are adequate in the ring, and can get some words in on a promo (Parker more than Hager), but can't really stand out on their own. Hager, Menard, and Parker are all around 40, and getting to the point in their careers when they should be pivoting to promoting younger talent, rather than receiving their own pushes. Sammy Guevara seems to naturally belong in this group, due to his continual association with Chris Jericho. I think Guevara *should* be able to get out of Chris Jericho's shadow: he has enough charisma and ring ability. But, I think he's being held back a bit at the moment by having too much crowd sympathy. Likewise, Tay Melo is going to be in whatever stable Sammy Guevara is due to the fact they they are married and have a strong social media presence. One weak point of this stable is the survival of a rump "Post-Jericho Appreciation Society" consisting of Garcia, Menard, Parker, and Hager. As as this writing, this rump stable has lasted for 7 months. Garcia & Menard is closer than "just friends" especially for faces, and they are still cutting promos together. They should either disband or form a formal stable, so that the casual viewer knows what is going on more easily. That being said, the JAS was formally disbanded, which is a plot point which is sometimes neglected."

Apparently Acclaimed was starting to get boring on its own and they decided it was a good idea to pair them up with other guys who have never had a decent match. That can be seen in the later shows where they are simply used in random matches without any meaning. They didn't seem good to me before and they don't seem good to me now."

[6.0] "They have good chemistry with each other, and have pulled off some impressive manuevers. It all depends on how they'll actually interact with the Undisputed Kingdom. I understand the real life reasons for why they haven't quite made a move yet since the Undispited Kingdom are busy with a storyline against Orange Cassidy, so at the moment, it's too soon to give them a rating. BlackVikingGZ wrote about Group:
[4.0] "The Group was the stable formed by Steve Corino to take control of ROH. The Group had the same purpose and used the exact arguments as Christopher Daniels Prophecy, which lead to a feud between the stables. It started really strong, cause Corino was soon portraited as the top heel of the company and he stealed two members of the Prophecy: Samoa Joe and Simply Luscious. Corino's feud with Homicide also got importance and got more violent with those infamous riots between Homicide's street gang and the Group. Those riots lead to some bad matches in the form of a six man tag of Homicide and Da Hit Squad vs some of the members of the Group, CW Anderson, Michael Shane and Samoa Joe. And more important, the horrible main event of Epic Encounter, the bunhouse brawl with Dusty Rhodes. It was horrible and I had no interest on it. The only good thing is that Julius Smoke is now a part of ROH. At that time, Michael Shane also throw the first punch at the Prophecy, so their feud got more attention. The problem with it was that both faction relied on talent that was normally booked on Japan and couldn't attend the shows. That lead to a mediocre Losing Faction Must Disband Six Man Tag Team, in which even Corino wasn't there (cause he was in prision), and wasn't the best main event on ROH history. The Group could have been a great faction, but doe to the Japan bookings, in the end was another stable that went wrong and could have been more."

Kidd is a future main eventer, Coughlin is an amazing powerhouse brawler perfect for the tag and NEVER scene, Moloney plays his role as a jacked junior lunatic perfectly, and Connors is great as his tag partner. The only weak link is their leader, Finlay, but he's starting to find his footing, especially in the multi-man tag matches. [6.0] "One of the biggest examples of wasted potential in AEW. Once they started building towards the Exalted One they had some great presentation and intrigue going on that really popped off with Brodie Lee taking the helm. Momentum was mostly very strong for a while (aside from everyone on the roster constantly refusing to join) up through the Dynamite where they completely dominated the show, ending with Brodie destroying the TNT belt as the entire Nightmare Family lay broken in the ring before them, only to have the rug pulled right out from under them in the coming weeks with the good ol' Codyverse coming through to help him get the title back. Ever since then - with the exception of their work with Hangman - they've felt like a weak, directionless joke of a team despite Silver/Reynolds being such a damn good tag team and Uno proving time and time again that he's a fantastic storyteller. The fact that their story with Hangman and the Elite never went anywhere after that phenomenal Trios Title match is an absolute travesty. The 10 heel turn fell so flat for what should have been an emotional moment considering his ties with -1 of all people, but him joining LFI made absolutely 0 sense considering their place on the card and motivation for doing so. Hopefully they get better booking going forward because the core trio deserve so much more than what they've been given."

And say what you will about Lance Von Erich. It's perfectly fine revisionist history to say that he wasn't a real Von Erich and he killed the territory, but from my recollection as a kid, he was over like rover and no one really cared about them "exposing" him on TV. Altogether in making change, drive and the KOPW title made to run through the crowd in arms. Just a faction into A ONCE IN A LIFETIME STABLE."

Their style definitely can lead to some absolute bangers, like the 2023 G1 match between EVIL and Shingo, but usually, HoT matches are really cold. They are at their best when they boil absolute piss and they seem like the only force in all of New Japan capable of doing so, so I gotta hand that to them."

[3.0] "Although the Bloodline in it's prime was one of the most riveting storylines in the wrestling world, the existence of the Bloodline feels incredibly redundant post-summerslam. It's ironic that the faction's promos have been considered cinema as now all of the characters have essentially being flanderized in the worst possible way. In the case of Roman Reigns he's essentially just become someone who's become so weak at this point, he can't do nothing by himself is basically like an addict who needs his fix of bloodline interference just to get by. Paul has essentially become someone who just licks Roman's arse completely while acting like he's a fighting champion when he's been reduced to someone who defends once every blue moon and can't retain without help. Solo has almost completely lost all personality altogether and has just been reduced to an uncharismatic mute. Jimmy just seems to hang about now just because WWE didn't have the balls to end the storyline when it should have ended. Ultimately, while there might be more fonder bloodline memories in retrospect, if things carry on the way they current are then, the faction as a whole might be remembered as a faction that outstayed it's welcome while doubling down on what made people dislike it in the first place."

I'm not a fan of Tama Tonga, I think Tanga Loa seems like a great guy but horrible wrestler, and I don't know what Jado adds to any faction, but I like having El Phantasmo around and I think he's helping Hikuleo become a more charismatic wrestler, which seems to be important since NJPW sees something in him that the fans apparently don't."

[8.0] "So as you can see with the ratings and comments here, a lot of nerds are getting worked. They cry and cope about House Of Torture having "go away heat" or making everyone look bad yet this faction gets heat during their matches and overall they're true heel who know how to work as actual heels, not ironic heels, not "let's have a yummy 10 stars banger" heels. Wrestlers have different roles to play in their promotions, NJPW already has a lot of "great wrestlers with fighting spirit", a lot of faces, so House Of Torture is there to bring a balance and a different dynamic to some of the matches on the card. EVIL is a great leader, charismatic on the mic and being in House Of Torture allowed him to become IWGP Heavyweight Champion, IWGP Intercontinental Champion and NEVER Openweight Champion so it has been a good move for him. Dick Togo is a good pin eater and manager. Yujiro has been a low card guy for years but he actually has a little more purpose by being in House Of Torture. SHO was cool when he was a babyface powerhouse but he was very bland character wise, since he turned heel and joined House Of Torture he gained a lot of confidence and charisma. He won the 6 man belts and the KOPW belt in a rare case of a junior beating a heavyweight, he's a good character and the crowd reacts well to him. Kanemaru is a natural heel and his turn played a great part in building the story of J5G vs HOT leading to EVIL's title match against SANADA. Ren Narita already showed more personality by being in HOT for less than a month than during his whole Shibata clone run since coming back from excursion, he's in a hot storyline of betrayal and now as a heel he has actually more chances of becoming a top guy someday. So for now every member has a purpose, they have 2 competitive heavyweights while Yujiro is the pin eater, and 2 competitive juniors while Dick Togo is the pin eater. There's a good balance to that faction, they're useful as actual heels that get heat (if you actually watch the shows, a lot of people crying about HOT probably don't) and when they're finally getting beat up it usually gets great reactions and put the babyfaces over. So all of you nerds can piss and moan all you want, the fact is they're not there to wrestle for yummy Meltzer star ratings, they're there to play a role as characters and they play it really well. They're trying everything to take shortcuts and create distractions, and it clearly works with the crowd if you're not deaf or delusional. So I give them an 8, it's a useful faction, I actually want to see them get beat up and I think it will get better with time, with Narita being built as a top guy who'll get more used to his new role."

An even without that confusing sector, the matches so bad. It has done nothing to elevate the members of the faction and the faction itself. If anything, it makes everyone look bad, a shell of their former selves, and a hinder of their progress."

It skyrocketed Dominik Mysterios and Rhea Ripleys status as main event players for the next decade, established and re-established Damian Priest and Finn Balor as present day threats. However, its been going for too long with so many repetitive matches, storylines and finishes. They should have broken up before the JD McDonagh and R-Truth storyline because Im afraid itll tarnish their legacy as a group."

Retribution can be defined as "the dispensing or receiving of reward or punishment especially in the hereafter". With that in mind, what recompense was this group after? As far as I can remember they never really had any goal in mind other than "cause mayhem". So then why not be called Mayhem? Or Bedlam? Or Chaos? OK maybe not that one. But maybe something actually appropriate? So they show up, wreck things, cause all this mayhem, and then they just like, get contracts? This is one of those instances where wrestling bookers think we are literal babies incapable of even the slightest critical thinking skills. Then there's the elephant in the room of this group being an obvious ersatz ANTIFA from the mind of an insane, out-of-touch 70-year-old billionaire and personal friend of Donald Trump. Nuff said on that, I think. The most egregious offense, however, was the treatment of the wrestlers themselves. Nobody in this group deserved this. Retribution was a really great collection of wrestlers (and Dio Maddin) being given the most stupid names possible in the most embarrassing get-ups possible. Nothing about this was good. Nobody got over. Nobody found greener pastures after this. Nobody won any belts or even wrestled on a PLE except Ali showing up in the Royal Rumble for a little bit. They were a laughingstock from the get-go. Quite possibly the worst thing to come from the Thunderdome era of WWE, which is saying A LOT."

All three women were made worse and Toni Storm was the only one worth watching before and after this stable. No good matches, no good promos, no moment that was worth anything out of this utter waste of TV time. If the stable had a better mouthpiece than Don Callis, it would be at least an 8 out of 10 stable but Callis drags the stable down so far by making the entire factions purpose about him and Kenny Omega. They have no direction now that Omega is injured and it limits them so heavily."
