[5.0] "Clear parody of those who were protesting WWE. Actually, started out as good heels but WWE never wanted them to be a success. Ivory became the star of the group and Richards got an IC title run. Group did not help any of the members careers after it disbanded."

[6.0] "Having recently binge watched WWF from 2000 to 2001, I've pretty much seen their entire run and my opinion on them has changed somewhat. It started out great with Richards quickly standing out as one of the most hated heels on the show. Bull Buchanan was a solid addition to them as an enforcer as he was doing nothing in a tag team with the Big Boss Man and they got real heat getting Godfather (Goodfather) and Val Venis to join. I couldn't help but think they should have changed Val Venis' name too to fit gimmick change. Then Ivory joined and had her best run in the WWE in this group and was easily the best fit. They got nuclear heat and they peaked for me around the end of 2000 where they did the spike piledriver on Chyna. The problem was when they split, there was just nothing for them. Charles Wright (the wrestler who uses the Godfather gimmick) has stated in interviews that he wanted to leave the WWE when he was doing that gimmick and it is quite noticeable. They should have split by having Godfather and Val Venis turning face and turning against the RTC and returning to the personas that got them over in the first place, but instead they went on a big losing streak which did nobody any favours at all."

Extremely irritating (can confirm absolutely hating them when hearing their theme), would have been great if they had more high profile opponents & angles, but it was usually whomever was deemed a violation to them (and mid-carders). Steven Richards was actually a really great leader for them, but maybe not on promos, as his voice was pretty raspy. Ivory was also excellent on the women's wrestling front. Really could have done with some high profile members, but nonetheless, an amazing stable."

[6.0] "Though they were created as a parody of a real life group, the fact that they legitimately pissed off the section of the Attitude Era audience who were more interested in "puppies" than matches means I have to give them credit. The stable was such a great idea for the time and it wouldn't have worked in any other era. I've always liked Stevie as well, and was glad the writers finally found something for him to do. And he played his role perfectly. Ivory was always great at drawing heat as well. It's just too bad that the other individuals in the group never really interested me much. Adding Godfather (sorry, "Goodfather") and Val Venis to the stable did make perfect sense however, and helped add further heat. It helped that they were good speakers as well. While the RTC did draw great heat, they didn't have the impact they should have had, which is why I can't rate the group higher than a 6."

I know that's how they were meant to be, but if a group make you want to legit turn off the program, are they really working as intended? They did have an understandably synergy with one another & I liked adding Ivory with them."

Stevie Richards was a great unstable cult leader, Ivory as the prudish librarian type (also had some good promos during this time), and Bull Buchanan as the muscle. Val Venis getting turned by them kind of ruined the rest of his run until he was released though. Overall, a pretty funny response to the PTC."

I would have loved to have seen the RTC, at its peak, transplanted onto ECW, at it's peak. A great vehicle for Stevie Richards and my all-time favourite faction."

2 Punkte."

DanTalksRasslin wrote on 26.01.2016:
[6.0] "Certainly an example of the WWF/E's pettiness, taking a shot at individuals/groups that cross them by creating a parody character. In this instance it was certainly directed towards a deserving target, though, and the group was effective in drawing a tremendous amount of heat from the Attitude Era crowd. Stevie Richards was also excellent in stepping out of his normal lackey role and doing a great job in a leadership position, and Ivory was also an MVP of the group. I do think Val Venis would have been better served at this point remaining a face and feuding with the group rather than quickly turning and joining it."
