202.01.2024Itayboi2.0Two untalented out of shape man who spent most of there time wallking and brawling when they where not taking big bumps to make up for the fact that they canot be asjed to actuly work. Thet had a string of must miss matches on wcw. Wotch is also where the very few matches where they actuly wretled happned. Thwy escape a lower rating only cos of there more goofy side being fun at times and the fact that they weare down to big bupus (even if they did take too manny)
329.12.2023Ozzy7.0One of the best tag teams during the 2nd tag team boom period of the monday night wars. i would honestly argue theyre number 4 within that period to Dudleys, Hardys, & Outsiders. They may not have been the most technically gifted team in the world, but thats not what made them entertaining, it was their willingness to do just about anything thrown in their direction that got them over. Held tag team gold everywhere but WWE shows how influential they were during their time, and i think if ECW were more focused on in ring work they wouldve improved and been remembered as the greats today and in influence to teams like the Usos and Young Bucks.
407.12.2023CoopyHoncho0.0Public Enemy had their fans and their niche. I didn't think much of them. They were average in the ring with below average ring attire and even worse promo skills. Everything about them is the opposite of what you're taught for the first 6 months in wrestling school. They had a few good brawls with the Nasty Boys, who were also terrible, and their biggest highlight is getting put in their place by APA.

719.09.2023Shoot Headbutt Lover1.0Genuinely one of the most worthless tag teams of all time, these guys couldn't work, not even in a fun brawling sense. All their matches were boring and had the same spots with the tables everytime. They were super over but they weren't good at all. They wish they had an ounce of what The Dudleyz or what Mike Awesome had. Their lasting legacy will be coming out to "Here Comes The Hotstepper", The APA beating their ass on Heat, and Johnny Grunge being referenced in "El Scorcho" by Weezer off the Pinkerton Album.

1407.03.2023Red Mage Riot5.0In their element(ECW) they were great. Try to take them out of that element, and they were pretty quickly exposed as big fish in a small pond. Rocco Rock was a marginally better wrestler than Grunge, but it didn't drag the team up all that much.

1627.11.2022Ma Stump Puller3.0If you took the raw beating heart and soul of Mike Awesome and cloned him into a tag team, you'd have Public Enemy. Just two really untalented and out of shape lads doing stupid spots that shortened their lives significantly, or making other people take their sick bumps alongside them just for the sake of it. It really says a lot when WCW, ECW and WWE wrestlers talk trash about you all at the same time about the same issues. Every Public Enemy match is half garbage walk and brawl, a minute or so of wrestling, and then the other half is just stupid table spots. Terrible.
1713.10.2022Conquistador372.0This team was crap and if you *don't* fast forward, I'll assume you already went to the other room. They were better than The Headhunters but about on par with The Bushwhackers as far as "this isn't watching wrestling, this is a form of torture". Flyboy Rocco Rock could actually work though, and sometimes that came out (albeit usually in other gimmicks). 1.5 rounded up.
1813.10.2022texasyosh2.0Sorry, but Public Enemy are REALLY bad. Hate their work in ECW, hate their work even more in WCW. Legitimately an awful tag team. I don't think they were even good at hardcore wrestling, which is the thing they're supposed to be good at.

2323.05.2021AnB4.0Pretty solid duo in the ECW days, but their "skillset", if you can call it that, didn't translate well into the WCW. Neither were solid in-ring workers but their disregard for own safety and ability to sell and take some serious bumps were good, and with the right manager they actually could get a pop.
2421.11.2020qveenovhell2.0Absolute garbage characters coupled with terrible matches and annoying promos and vignettes. How does anyone actually enjoy these guys? Both of the two points I'm giving them are for Heyman being able to somehow get these morons over as much as he did.

2821.11.2019Donnie3.0The Greatest trick that devil Paul E ever pulled was tricking WCW and WWF to get into a bidding war over these terrible, terrible wrestlers. Unless they were in the ring with the Gangstars, they sucked beyond belief. The APA beating the fuck out of them is the peak of their careers.
2929.10.2019ElPolloLoco4.0Better than the Nasty Boys all around, but that's not exactly high praise. Rocco Rock was mediocre on a very good day and Johnny Grunge never had that very good day. At least they could be somewhat entertaining when cutting promos instead of relying on toilet humor. They would have probably remained plying their trade in semi-obscurity if not for the genius of Paul Heyman. Paul E. Dangerously turned these two into some sort of hardcore icon and to be honest the Public Enemy had no problem being beaten into a bloody pulp (usually by the Gangstas) to establish their reputation. In WCW they came off as two goofballs carrying tables to the ring but it's rumored they had fun and were paid reasonably well. Not exactly a memorable act, but they had their niche.

3102.03.2019JEK 19917.0Great tag team in the ECW days. Very hardcore. When they went to WCW and WWF they went the same after that. You could say they enjoy their final years of their lives!
3214.10.2018MRN8.0
3321.09.2018RatingsMachine3.0The Public Enemy are an example of Paul Heyman's ability to make even the smartest of people, and fans, believe in something that simply is not true. Johnny Grunge was a very poor worker, and Rocco Rock was capable at best. As a team, they could brawl and bleed, and cut a mildly entertaining promo, but beyond that, well, they simply were not any good. Public Enemy needed Paul Heyman because he could book around their deficiencies and make them look great. But as soon as they had to work outside of Heyman's auspices, it was obvious, painfully at times, that Public Enemy's rep was all down to smoke and mirrors.

4008.01.2017jcb93.0I never got Public Enemy at all. Maybe it's because I wasn't watching ECW when they were there, so my introduction to the team was their forgettable WCW run. Watching them in WCW, they seemed like lame goofballs doing a very watered down version of hardcore wrestling – sort of the opposite of what ECW represented. I was really surprised to learn later that they had been huge in ECW. If I was watching them then, maybe they would've clicked with me. But just being familiar with their WCW work, they never did.

4204.07.2016DanTalksRasslin8.0Grunge and Rock had a good dynamic between them - a bigger brawler guy and a smaller faster guy - and some fun double-team moves, including the Drive-By (assisted flip senton through a table). They always seemed like they were having fun, and that combined with the wild brawls they often put on led to them getting over big with the ECW faithful and claiming the ECW tag straps four times. They later made thier way to WCW, where (other than a short run with the tag title) they were mainly used as an opening act, but succeeded more often than not in getting the crowd hyped. Also notable as being the team before the Dudley Boyz to popularize the use of tables in tag matches.

4518.05.2016Mizzle Assault Ant7.0Fun and influential team. They are not the best in the ring, or if they were they didn't really try to be, but they did have a good time and always pumped up the crowd.

6010.08.2009The-Game919.0Das ECW Team schlechthin.

7414.11.2007Masterpiece8.0Das wohl bekannteste Hardcore Tag Team ...
