[10.0] "One of the all-time best. Could definitely make the case for top ten without a doubt. Amazing talent. Great manager."

[10.0] "Incredible/magical/mythical chemistry from day one. The only problem with this team is somehow the Eaton/Lane version was even better. This pairing TORE! IT! UP! in the 80's, elevating companies/territories and the sport over all for years stacked on years. Every time The Midnight Express were on the card, things were about to get wicked awesome. Absurd chemistry with any and everyone. Lest we forget Jim Cornette's role here; who was always a nuclear heat generating force to be reckoned with, crowds were whipped into a frenzy with relative ease by the group. Watch everything you possibly can! It ends on a somewhat mediocre note - but Stan Lane more than picks up the pieces! TOP TIER."

[9.0] "If not for Cornette they would be a 10. Eaton and Condrey were excellent together so many classic matches when they were together"

[9.0] "Probably my second favorite version of The Midnights. Not quite as good as Eaton & Lane, but still a pretty wholesome pairing with Jimmy Cornette as the manager. The peak of The RNR/Midnight feud was with this version."

[10.0] "For me, I think this pairing worked better as a heatseeking "cut off the ring" heel team than with Stan Lane(who was probably more palatable for a national promotion like Crockett/WCW, and in my opinion, some of the greatest tag team matches I've ever seen for pure storytelling and beating down the babyface to prep for the hot tag were with this pair. The Midnights(Lane, Eaton, Condrey, Cornette) are my all-time favourite group, this incarnation in Mid-South were awesome."
