715.04.2024lukasmgc10.0One of the best to do it right now. His matches always deliver. He can always get the crowd going and is currently involved in one of the greatest stories in wrestling. People always say he has a limited move set. He does sure, but he makes it work to his advantage. He doesn't repeat his moves to often and always knows how to put on good matches. Every match he's had has stolen the show. His skills on the mic have significantly improved. His title reign was good in the being. Great in the middle. A little slow in 2022 but really has picked up now since the start of 2023 and I think this might be the best year in his reign so far. The story with Sami and the Story with Cody is great. I cannot give enough praise to this guy. A wrestler in every sense of the word. 10/10.

1112.04.2024ultravioletshiroi10.0Roman has grown on me a lot and he's been a draw for years. He was cool during the shield, overpushed and hated by everyone but has done a great job working hard and rebuilding himself. His heel character work is very good imo, he is intense and I love his approach to in ring psychology. He is condescending to his opponents and it's believable, he's built like a champion and his movepool is versatile enough to make his matches entertaining. He's a great talent and great performer.
1211.04.2024igskillfart5.0lets be real, hes only considered "great" was cus of his reign, There is nothing special about roman. is in ring work is not bad but isnt good, same outcome usally happens with interference. all he says is agknoldge me and stuff, he barely had good matches with him being world champion. and hes only praised cus of is reign. sure it was good but finally its over and a new era has begun. all through i dont watch wwe cus its not my style. I still focus on the wrestlers and roman i believe needs to improve more. everyone always has to judge on character, but lets be real thats not professional wrestling. Maybe on wwe terms. but no way roman is an all time great. Sure, he is one of the biggest names in wrestling history, but the fact people call him the greatest of all time so funny to me, sure he can be entertaining. but thats just it. hs tribal chief gimmick is one of the best heel charaters of all time. but the dude is not a legend.
1311.04.2024Punkman2110.0Roman Reigns has undeniably transformed the landscape of the sport with his incomparable influence, magnetic charisma, star power, and unparalleled in-ring capabilities. Reigns has cemented his status as one of the most significant figures in the industry. From his early days as a member of The Shield to his evolution into "The Tribal Chief, " Reigns has showcased an exceptional range of abilities that distinguish him as a performer. His charisma is palpable, effortlessly connecting with audiences whether he's beloved or reviled, demonstrating the kind of rare star power that comes once in a generation. This innate magnetism has made every storyline, feud, and match involving Reigns a must-see event, underscoring his role as a major draw for WWE. Reigns' in-ring work is equally commendable. Combining power, agility, and an astute understanding of storytelling, he consistently delivers matches that are both technically impressive and emotionally compelling. Perhaps Reigns' most remarkable attribute is his drawing ability. He has proven time and again to be a linchpin for WWE's financial and ratings success. Reigns' appearances and matches are significant drivers of TV ratings, network subscriptions, and live event attendance. His ability to draw in fans, both loyal and casual, speaks volumes about his impact on the industry. This drawing power is not just a testament to his skills and charisma but also to his hard work and dedication to his craft. In an era where wrestling has more competition than ever, Reigns' ability to maintain and grow his position as the face of WWE is nothing short of extraordinary.

1810.04.2024devmo9.0Roman Reigns is up there with the most naturally talented wrestlers to be trained in a North American developmental territory, and it saddens me that we never got to see him outside of WWE when he was at his absolute physical peak as a wrestler because I think any notions that he was a bad (or overrated) talent would've disappeared very quickly. I was a Roman defender through years of atrocious creative direction because I recognized that there was something that was untapped with him. The example that always stands out to me is the night after WrestleMania 33, where it felt like the beginning of some change, but it ended up being a pump fake. It took several years, a near retirement, and a world-changing pandemic for Roman to fully reach his potential, but I am unbelievably glad that he did. While I do think his Universal Championship reign lasted too long and could no longer justify its length in its final eight months, the core of it turned him into an undeniable performer. His work elevated to a level that even I, as someone who always thought he had something, could not have possibly predicted. After being forced into a spot as "the guy" in a role that did not suit him, he finally had the reign that he always wanted and got the respect of the general fanbase, something I am sure he dreamed of. And then he put his successor over in a MASSIVE way, somehow justifying his title retention at WrestleMania 39 even though it felt terrible in the moment. A genuinely great wrestler with a great feel for what he does. When he turns babyface in the future, it has the potential to shift the industry in a way that his previous runs as a good guy never really could. I look forward to it.

2109.04.2024LMZ202010.0(26.02.2023) I'm only going this high because the current iteration of his character as The Tribal Chief is legit one of the greatest performances as a heel I think Ive ever seen. His character rn is THE final boss of pro-wrestling and he IS the biggest wrestler in the industry rn. Not even that, theres so much nuance to how he carries and presents himself if you read between the lines (only person Ive seen who does a nuanced asshole better is Jay White), and he plays his role in whatever the storyline needs him to be to perfection. His in-ring work tho leaves alot to be desired, which is why I cant give him a perfect 10. (present) Yep, he deserves the perfect 10. Best heel run as champion I've ever seen.

2508.04.2024TripleCrown9.0Typing this a few hours after the WM 40 main event between him and Cody Rhodes. Man, Roman Reigns has come A LONG WAY since being Leakee in FCW. His WWE debut with The Shield was a perfect way to introduce him (and the other two members) into the main roster. He was really touted as THE GUY WWE would put all their stock into, and for a while it seemed like a very poor investment. From a character standpoint, the guy sucked. He was as generic as they could possibly come, no doubt this was due to Vince and the writing staff, so I can't blame Roman at all for that. WWE put him in a lot of awful positions, especially winning the Rumble when Bryan was eliminated so early on. After that point, he was booked as Cena 2.0, something which nobody wanted and it just didn't work. They really, really tried forcing him down the throats of fans but so many revolted against it. Despite all of this, Reigns was still putting on good matches and improving with each main event star he wrestled. The turning point was his heel turn in 2020, from then onwards it was just incredible storytelling and wrestling from Roman. He's far, far better suited as a heel, or just somebody who isn't a generic WWE mouthpiece that fans can see right through. Had the best WWE title run in recent memory, took on and defeated a hall of fame worthy list of challengers. Truly elevated himself into legendary status within WWE and cemented himself in wrestling history as the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era. He has come such a long way, improved so much and again, reached legendary status within WWE. Couldn't of asked for a better WWE Championship run, the guy just killed it whilst making others look strong along the way.

2808.04.2024jimmyhood10.0Roman Reigns is undeniably one of, if not the greatest professional wrestler of all time. Critics can argue, fans can dislike him, but his place among the legends cannot be denied. Groomed for stardom, Roman was initially pushed as a babyface, but the audience rejected him. It was clear he was misused. While I agree, I wouldn't change a thing. This struggle shaped him into the champion he is today. Roman Reigns is a game-changer. He brought his own unique style to wrestling, and it's a masterpiece. His heel turn is arguably one of the greatest moments in wrestling history. During a time when both WWE and the world were at their lowest point due to COVID, Roman stepped up. He became the top guy, leading us on an unforgettable ride. The Tribal Chief's reign and the bloodline storyline might never be surpassed. Roman elevated the meaning of being a WWE Champion to unprecedented heights. The title hasn't felt this prestigious in years. Every time he enters the ring, it's a major event, a testament to his status as a true top guy. Roman Reigns is, in my opinion, the greatest wrestler of all time, the biggest draw in wrestling history, and the catalyst for the current wrestling boom.

3307.04.2024cal90996.0One of the most overrated top of the card talents of all time in my opinion. An absolutely plodding and unexciting worker who's a moderately good promo. He has a degree of charisma/aura to him since his heel turn, but nothing like the charisma that WWE believes he has.

3807.04.2024GoldLiger7.0Roman is a guy that was given the role of the top guy from the moment he walked in and he was never going to live up to it fast enough. He was a guy who grew into his role too late, but I think he did a pretty good job all things considered. Leakee in FCW was just a guy but he had a great look. The Shield is a legendary stable to the point that even being the weak link in it means you're still doing great work, and it was built TO get him in a top spot fast. His top face push in the mid-10s was just not well-done, done before he was ready or over, booked like Cena without the mic skills and with less blood to get him over (yeah he bled against Brock but people already hated that the match was happening), but honestly he had many of his best post-Shield matches in that run. His battles with Leukemia derailed his late-10s, and the fact that he still battles with it isn't lost on me. But that 2020 heel turn that lead into the Tribal Chief and insanely long main event title run, that's when Roman felt like a top guy. It's a shame that he slowed WAY down and mostly put on melodramatic matches that should've gone 10-12 minutes shorter and often had non-finishes, though the first couple years still had some gems like the feuds against Jey and Bryan. The later years of the run have had too much fluff and a part-time schedule, which I get given his aura and Leukemia, but it hasn't lead to great matches despite some great character work. I genuinely believe that if Roman had gotten this Tribal Chief run with his mid-10s workrate he would've lived up to what WWE wanted him to be and been amazing, but we didn't quite get that. Still, again, he grew into the role they wanted from him eventually, and you can't really deny that he's made gold with it without having to do a lot. If his title reign and career wind down after tomorrow, then I think he'll be remembered fondly by history despite all the issues with his run.

4006.04.2024God8.0With two nights away from arguably the greatest title reign of modern era ending, I'm writing this comment to give Roman Reigns his flowers. Despite his negatives which is the fact that he's been a part-timer for most of his reign (after hypocritically calling John Cena 'a part-timing fake ass bitch'), his promo skills are overrated, repetitive and uninteresting, his getting lazy in his matches and offering the bare minimum in the ring, his predictability, he's been the most overly protected and catered top guy of all time, having taken him 5 years to finally click with the wrestling world, etc... despite all of that, he has given us tons of memories and created countless moments throughout his career while elevating his counterparts to superstardom by telling great stories. He has truly made it as a guy we will remember forever. While he cannot compete with the icons that came before him like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, The Undertaker and more, and he can't touch Hulk Hogan's unreachable impact, he has truly been the one and only top star of his generation, or as he once called himself 'THE Guy'.

4829.03.2024animxst Turned from a scary-looking enforcer in the SHIELD to some "charismatic" bumbling heavyweight who mainly relies on his opponent. List me 3 matches where Roman Reigns set the main pace of the match. Hard, right? Really a shame how he has to rely on two goons and a fanbase (at least right now) to stay relevant. I would've forgot him by now if he didn't have either; we're lucky if he shows up every month or two anyways.
4926.03.2024Fanofkane9.0
5023.03.2024frankiejd886.0Roman is a tough guy to rank because he has changed a lot from the big guy in the shield, to the guy doing suffering succotash, to the big dog, to the head of the table. But ultimately, through it all, he's just never been the true top tier guy the WWE has wanted him to be. He's good, he's athletic, he's a strong in-ring performer, he has a great look, and his promos are perfectly serviceable. But ultimately I think he's just forgettable, and it won't be long until the only thing people remember about him is that he had a really long title run. There's something special in the guys who get over naturally as opposed to an overly-pushed guy like Roman, and he's just perpetually missing that intangible something more. I wish the pieces could've fallen into place for me like they have for thousands of others, but they just never have.

Luckily, he ended up getting there, finally helped by an interesting booking. Paul Heyman's support and his heel turn were the best things that could have happened to him. Since the start of his historic reign, his acting has been excellent, he exudes monstrous charisma, his presence is sensational, he carries his role like no other. The stories that accompanied his reign (until recently) were each better than the last. He is strong, impressive, charismatic, sexy, impactful, funny. Whatever you think of him, he inevitably provokes a reaction. A star, a real one.

6404.03.2024Larixkh10.0Roman Reigns is complicated to rate. If I base it only on his in ring or on his storylines from the last year, he would only be at 5 or 6, it would be too simple because Reigns is not just that. He's a huge star unlike any other in WWE, a star that WWE struggled to obtain for years. I no longer like his reign as champion since a little before his first match against Cody, too long and not much interesting to say but when his reign was at the peak of quality he proved that he was incredible on the microphone as well that full of charisma while being able to put on a very good match in his style like against Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Bryan and Edge or even Jey Uso. Reigns has reached a rank that few wrestlers have reached and it is difficult to rate him without taking that into account.

7509.02.2024MasteroftheMatchGuide995.0This rating at halfway has nothing to do with the man or his winning. It's HOW he wins. Fans turned on John Cena a long time ago b/c he was shoved down our throats and politicked his way to wins. Now, Reigns is doing the same thing and people constantly say the unacceptable excuse "Uh, he's a heel." Yeah, and so was Flair, Edge, Miz, Savage, Orton, Bret, Owen, Yokozuna, and almost every single other wrestler in WWE history. The difference is that each of them could win a majority of matches on their own (save maybe the Miz.) Roman hasn't won matches on his own in over 3 years and acts like he's tough when he needs to be bailed out. The character change also hasn't done any favors for him because now people only like him because he changed allegiances. Until he wins more matches on his own, I'll have to keep this ranking somewhat low. Again, nothing against the man or his record, only how he pads his record just so he gets whatever he wants.

7805.02.2024RomanoInferno6.0I like him a heck of a lot more as a heel than I do as a face. I'll say that right now. For the last 10 years, WWE has been shoving him down our throats and none of us wanted it. Now that he's heel. We are a little more accepting, but he is still be shoved down our throats. His promos have got much better, but it's hard to judge his wrestling since his matches have been lather, rinse, repeat for the last three years. I hate the fact that WWE is just stat padding now to make his reign longer, but that's on them more than him. Is he good? Yes. As good as they are trying to make him? No. Greatest of all time? Ehh... Top 10 maybe, but not Top 1.

8430.01.2024Impact00.0Roman Reigns is not and never will be the GOAT, I don't know why WWE is trying so hard with this guy, it has to be stubbornness. Vince McMahon never wanted to be wrong about his hand-picked top guy and now Triple H has to keep him around. His ongoing 1200+ day (as of this review) title reign has been absolutely awful and puts the championships on lockdown, no the World Heavyweight championship that Seth Rollins currently holds is not a real world title, it was a consolation prize created because "nobody can beat Roman" which just further artificially bolsters his paper legacy. The Bloodline story is only interesting because of the people around Roman, not Roman himself. His matches are the same boring slog, make faces, talk trash, punch, ref bump, outside interference, spear. He should have dropped the belts a long time ago and retired like he basically already has. I will never acknowledge this fraud.

8928.01.2024VictoriaDT3.0Not a huge fan, he is much better now as a heel but still hes just not my kind of tea. His reign has been too long which has made all of his matches painfully predictable, all the bloodline interruptions are genuinely detrimental to my enjoyment of his matches. In-ring hes ok, a bit old school, hes pretty slow and his moves get really repetitive but Im sure people enjoy him despite that, so again not for me. I guess its hard to look bad when you have the entire company backing you. Im not a big fan of Brock but he pretty much did a similar thing but much better, not to mention more believable since he is a killer UFC talent. Also quick random thought but in kayfabe how do the General Managers just ignore the fact (I havent watched recently so if this has been brought up its my bad) Roman wins most of his title matches by cheating?

9124.01.2024FrancescoTotti10Daje9.0I don't get why people are hating so much, he is great in the ring, he is a great storyteller and he has the look of a superstar. Too bad that they waited so long to turn him heel.

9323.01.2024BruceMarcos5245.0Overrated guy that WWE overhypes. It's a no brainer why the fans booed Roman Reigns for many years. His individual singles run has met with a lot of criticisms, his promos are monotonous and lack of passion. Who wouldn't forget the "Jack and the Beanstalk" promo and the "Sufferin' Succotash" promo by Reigns, hope that we forget it easily. His matches are consisting of Superman Punches and Spears, that's it. Although his initial Shield run shows very promising of Reigns. One of the worst pushed guys in WWE. Glad that his Tribal Chief run was somehow an improved run of Roman Reigns, it has a final boss feel to it. However, the matches are predictable and repetitive, and mostly Bloodline interference which is sickening. What's worse that he held the Universal title longer than anyone because WWE wants to break "record". And the longer his reign, the staler it is. One of the major problem WWE have is having big muscular good-looking men like Reigns to be the next top star. I guess they never learned from John Cena then. Although he is not worse than Hulk Hogan, still Reigns can somehow deliver a very good match if their opponents are as calibre as Bryan Danielson or AJ Styles. The story telling has also been good since the Tribal Chief run as what the die-hard fans teased as, "cinema". I just hope Reigns has become more variant on his move set and just be an untalkative guy with Paul Heyman as his mouthpiece because the way he talks sucks no matter how much he tries.

His incredible athleticism, powerful presence, and captivating storytelling have made him one of the most captivating performers in recent memory. Reigns' in-ring skills are top-notch, as he has showcased his versatility with a wide range of moves and techniques. Since turning heel, he has displayed excellent mic skills, delivering compelling promos that engage the audience and elevate his character. Reigns' ability to connect with the fans as a dominant heel is commendable. His character development and evolution have been intriguing and have kept fans invested in his journey. 10015.01.2024nWo-Joshi-Guy5.0I had Roman at a 7/10 at the peak of the Bloodline stuff but I think 5 is a fair rating on the whole of his career that I have seen based on all elements as a professional wrestler. The character change was definitely what he needed and you can't deny his success with it. Ironically, without the years of fans not accepting him I don't think his current run could have worked. The Bloodline story started interesting but became repetitive and stale under Vince with no end in sight. New life was breathed into it under Triple H's creative but it peaked and they have continued it into a direction that no longer makes sense and a situation where the top champion in the company, on the longest reign in modern times, barely appears on the shows. In the ring Roman is capable but pretty limited. His matches have literally all become the same stale, repetitive sequence of events. He gets treated as some dominant monster, yet in every match he will require outside help and the challenger (no matter how weakly booked they have been in the past few months) will hit their finisher only for there to be no ref (due to a copy and paste ref bump). I don't really understand why he seemingly HAD to be 'the guy' under McMahon. All while more talented and popular stars around him were underutilized or misused. As for his finishers, which comprise about 50% of his offence, they are incredibly unprotected. His Spear is average and there have been many wrestlers with better versions of it, even inside WWE, over the last few years. While the Superman Punch has always been one of my least favourite moves. His look is pretty average too; he has literally been wearing the same gear for the past 3 years.
