318.07.2020SadBulat Andre the gians was the very good performer despite his height in his early years. But then his health was becoming worse and worse every year, and his wrestling skills also was becoming worse and worse. Besides he has no mic skill.
427.01.2022piledrivrr One of the biggest draws in the history of pro wrestling. There are many words to describe Andre, many nicknames. Undefeated in the WWF for over a decade, main event wherever he went, the list goes on.
520.02.2024jasonkl24 Andre is also a clear 10 and bridged the gap between the territory years and modern wrestling and was a huge draw for both eras. He was booked extremely well also where he would go to different places for relatively short times, as well as Japan. when he was younger, he was a very good worker for a giant, later on in his career his body betrayed him and he was a shadow of his former self, but was still a great attraction.
626.01.2024Teck22 the only giant, the ultimate, and last giant ever see of wrestling ! I never forget playing like him in 2012 on wwf wrestlemania by nes 8 bit !

3101.03.2011Rock n Roll Express10.0Ein sehr guter Big Man, stets loyal gegenüber seinem Arbeitsgeber.
3201.10.2018JEK 199110.0I think he is excellent overall. I personally don't think he is underrated. The last few reviewers need to look at his early years not so much the later years. I agree he was not that great at promos but was excellent at his character. Great wrestling skills using boot kicks, take downs and airplane spins. In his early years he was excellent beating 3-4 wrestlers at once, piling them on top of each others and sitting on top of them for the pin. Not too many wrestlers do that expect for him. Big show did not do that. His matches in the early 70's in Montreal were great feuding with Don Leo Jonathan and Killer Kowalski. In Japan he was an instant hit. The man was big and great for his size. He fought in many promotions throughout the States and the world. I did not like the Giant Machine gimmick he had. He was both great at a babyface and heel. WWF was were he spent most of his career. Great feuds with Big John Studd, Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts and Killer Khan. When he was a heel in 1987 he was excellent. After he was WWF champion he started to slow down in his career sad. He had to retire from wrestling and was a manager for a bit. It was very sad to see him in crutches. He is a legend now. Even though his life was very short, he is a memorable actor, wreslter or athlete that people can remember.
3303.03.2021Takerfan9910.0The Original Giant. Great gimmick and was great in the ring in his younger years. Andre is a pioneer for the giants of wrestling. Legendary career and even devoted to the business up to the final days of his life
3403.06.2022CMX-710.0Judging his later career is pointless as he was not in good shape, but his charisma has always attracted despite his limitations. As for his wrestling skills, you'd better before judging him badly, you need to look at his early career, he was a very decent wrestler for his gobarites and could give a great match. He is a BIG Legend that cannot be surpassed)))
3503.07.2023Immortan Scott10.0Andre is... let's be real, not the best wrestler. He had a bunch of outright terrible matches. But he's such a force of nature (and his good matches are all timers) that it's impossible not to count him as one of my favorites.
3705.11.2021Mister Cute Face10.0If you've only seen his 1987 work and beyond, you need to see his earlier work. Dude dropped a leg from the top rope on Killer Khan in a cage. Amazing worker that was a force in the ring when healthy.
3807.12.2020Killerk710.0My all time favourite wrestler number 1 of greatest wrestlers of all time, was undefeated for many years and was a good wrestler in ring and an icon too wrestling.
3909.01.2015The5thHorseman10.0What else can you ask for in a pro wrestler? The definition of an attraction and will be remembered for years to come.
4009.05.2023ElegantImpact10.0His charisma, star power and overall impact on the industry are so huge that how can he not be a 10? 70s & early 80s Andre could move! he was such a sight to behold. Those of us who grew up only watching late 80s Andre really should go back and see some earlier Andre, he was so great at what he could do. Even when he was dealing with his issues later in his career, his charisma and ability to make so much out of so little really stood out. There are not many wrestlers who stay relevant in popular culture, Andre has, and that is true testament of how great he really was.
4110.01.2022texasyosh10.0One of the biggest draws in wrestling history. There's this ethos to Andre that will never ever be replicated. Truly, a one of a kind talent.
4210.05.2020Keksteur10.0A true legend of the buisness, unfortunately people tend to remember him in his late career when he could barely move around and forget how good he truly was in his prime.
4310.07.2023JoshB10.0Greatest attraction in the history of wrestling. Wherever Andre went eyes were on him. Wherever he wrestled people paid to see.
4510.10.2020Mr Nice Guy10.0While many know him as a lumbering immobile giant in the 1980s, In his prime. He was one of the best wrestlers of all time in my book. If it was possible to give someone higher then a 10, I would give that rating to this guy.
4812.07.2021Nick O10.0Andre The Giant is a legendary wrestler. He was special and for his size he was well known and popular. R. I. P Andre
4912.07.2021BrayanLaPre10.0In the Hulk Hogan and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin tier in terms of popularity gained as a professional wrestler. Also a remarkably athletic big man in his time who could bend any crowd to his will. The 8th Wonder of the World is a legitimate wrestling icon and gets an easy 10/10 from me accordingly. One of the most important figures in wrestling history.
5012.08.2007Obermacker10.0Wird für immer eine der größten Legenden diese Sports bleiben.
5113.02.2022cpatchj10.0He's a 10! He's one of the greatest legends of all time. The most special of the special attractions. His mobility was gone by the time most people today have seen him wrestle, but "workrate" isn't what you should be looking for from someone like Andre.
5213.04.2018GulakBusick10.0Most people caught Andre at the end of his career but I'd urge them to check out his work from the 70s and early 80s when he was more athletic to appreciate what an incredible performer he was. His matches with Stan Hansen and Killer Khan are legendary. Not just one of the best "big men" of all time, one of the greatest in-ring performers period.
5313.08.2016Luv all wrestling10.0Andre the Giant is a legend who has competed for many different promotion and is a part of one of the biggest moments of wrestling for a long time. I can not think of anyone who said anything bad about Andre.
5414.04.2019coolseraz10.0The greatest giant in pro wrestling. Very agile and athletic back in the day but health issues caught up with him. Although, he did big business with Hogan in 87, his body was sadly done by that point. Also managed to make his mark in Hollywood with the classic Princess Bride.
5514.11.2022conker810.0The most famous wrestler from my home country, Andre the Giant deserves a 10. He is the best giant in wrestling history.
5615.01.2022Vivien Desloges10.0I'm French. Right there here, Andre was and still our only draw. The man was a fucking international draw, the attraction anywhere you are. For a dude of his size, he did things another couldn't do. Andre in his prime, in the 70's and the very early 80's was a beast. He had some very good technical bouts as some iconic brawls. His late WWF work was just him taking VKM's money and still putting Hogan over even though he was clearly broken down. His greatness was just his physic. Nevertheless, he had ton of charisma. The first international wrestling draw and quite a model here in France. Everybody wrestler here want to have, at least, a quarter of his popularity. "The 8th Wonder Of The World", that wasn't just for the nickname.
5716.12.2020Strong Zero Machine10.0One of the biggest star ever! Not the best giant but the most iconic with Taker and Baba for me. Europe, North America, Japan... The 8th Wonder Of The World deserve my 10
5817.11.2015ShooterMcShoot10.0In his younger days, when he could move, he was very special. When he got older, it was something else entirely. Even still, the man is basically mythical.
5917.12.2020Old ride long line10.0You know your an absolute legend in the business when 30 years after your death some 110 pound internet nerd is thumbing out sentences like, well he was a legend and drew a ton of money but he couldn? t do an arm drag to save his life. I? ve seen a million arm drags in my life but Andre has been apart of some of the most iconic moments in wrestling history. All he did was give to the wrestling business in a day and age where the business wasn? t guaranteed to be around for ever. He? s one of the reasons why dudes are killing them self? s wrestling in front of 25 people in some local vfw right now trying to make it in the business. Hell nobody would give a damn about this site if it wasn? t for guys like Andre. He doesn? t have to be your favorite wrestler to pay him a little bit of respect for his contributions you losers.
6120.11.2015Squared Circle10.0He belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Wrestling with Bruno, Hulk and Flair. The 8th Wonder of the World. Sold out arenas all over the world, just so people could look at him. Worked for decades without pushing for a belt, but took on all the larger villains world wide. Had and excellent tag team with Chief Jay Strongbow. It's a very underlooked team with a ton of chemistry that the crowd absolutely loved. He did handicapped matches just to demonstrate his size. He didn't need to put Hogan over at Wrestlemania Three, but it's the greatest match, ever. His heel turn with Heenan, was earth shaking. Always let the top line villains get their shots in. He was very battered in his heel run, so if that's all you saw, you missed the best part. RIP.
6222.06.2017PathosLogosEthos10.0I bet most people will only remember him as the original big guy, and I bet most people will write off his in ring work. But they're dead wrong. Andre was way ahead of his time as far as in ring storytelling goes. He knew how to control ever gram of his size to his advantage. Absolutely underrated as an in ring worker. Maybe not the most compelling character, but a great worker.
6323.04.2015DanTalksRasslin10.0Andre was and is one of the most recognizable wrestlers in history, and one of the very few to cross over from being a wrestling star to being a legitimate part of popular culture. In the ring, his size presented some limitations, especially as he aged, but unlike many other "giants, " he always had a great understanding of how to use his size to produce compelling matches. Often imitated, never duplicated.
6423.04.2018Rabid10.0Andre the Giant is the biggest mainstream draw in the history of professional wrestling. I could just say that and stop, but this man had such an aura, he had such a great personality and he couldn? t easily pull off the gentle giant baby face or become a hated monster heel. His work isn? t the best in his later years, but Andre the Giant could go in the 70? s and with his iconic matches in the 80? s, especially in a classic with Hogan at WM3, Andre the Giant is truly one of wrestling? s best performers. His impact will never be forgotten. RIP
6725.02.2016Phenomenal9110.010's not enough for this man. His contribution to the sport are legendary. He was never a technical wizard or sharp shooter, but he had an aura about him-something that suggested he truly was larger than life. He put butts in seats on the strength of that alone. And speaking of strength, it was his greatest asset. That and an He may have stayed past his expiration date (there aren't a lot of old giants walking around, as Big Show so grimly put it on his own DVD. ) But he's ANDRE. He's beyond a mere numerical rating.
6825.03.2008ghost10.0Also ich muss dieser Legende einfach die Bestnote geben.
6925.07.2019KyleEnjoysWrestling10.0In my eyes, you have to rate someone like Andre for what he was. No he is not Shawn Michaels in the ring, but what he did for the wrestling business can't be ignored. He was an attraction & larger than life. He brought so many eyes to the product when the tides were shifting and a lot of questions surrounded what direction the wrestling landscape would take on.
7025.09.2021No One10.0One of the most famous professional wrestlers of all time. The greatest Giant in pro wrestling history. Had the aura of a God. He had the unteachable "IT" Factor. Was the best big man in-ring performer throughout the 1970's up until 1984. Took part in many famous & memorables matches & moments such as the WrestleMania III match with Hulk Hogan. Legendary feud with Killer Khan. Memorable battle with Stan Hansen in NJPW that was one of the best matches of the 1980's. One of the greatest box office draws in pro wrestling history. He will be remembered forever. No matter how many giants have come through pro wrestling, NONE OF THEM have even come close to what Andre The Giant was. A Legend inside the ring & outside the ring. RIP to the legendary Andre The Giant.
7125.10.2015mdkarl10.0The name of the game is to draw money... no one in wrestling history was as big of a money draw in so many places. If you ever saw andre wrestle in person, you remember it. One andre the giant experience is worth more than 100 high flying moves you will forget by next week.
Danke Andre!
7326.05.2021Rodycaz II10.0A cultural icon that transcended the wrestling business. Truly one of the biggest attractions and easily the greatest giant in pro wrestling history.
7426.12.2020Shoot Headbutt Lover10.0A Legend who lives up to his status, one of the most recognizable wrestlers in history. also not to mention that he could do some great wrestling in the 70s and early 80s.
7611.12.2023greaterdale10.0It's honestly amazing that people remember him so fondly (and like rightfully so), as his best work is lost to time because it was back when companies taped over their archives and didn't tape the house shows where the big matches happened. But Yeah Andre is a legend by the time he was at his most popular his body was starting to break down which is really sad, but he did have one of the biggest box office matches with Hulk Hogan. I'd suggest checking out his New Japan work as those are some of his best matches still viewable (though I'm not sure they're still on New Japan World since they updated the site they should be back eventually maybe check out other sites if you can find them.) Anyway Andre is both figuratively and literally larger than life and deserves his 10/10 rating.
7721.02.2024Matthieujst10.0The best giant in pro wrestling history. Yes, his in ring level was not that great in his last years due to his health problems but he was an incredible wrestler for his size during his best days ! To be honnest I am not a fan of "giant wrestlers" too, I prefer watching good in-ring wrestlers like Danielson, Okada or ZSJ... But man, André was a pure attraction ! His charisma and his size were so impressive that he didn't have to be a good in-ring pro wrestler. He simply beats you by crushing you with all of his weight and smashing you with all of his gigantic power ! He is the one WWE tried to reproduce for decades but it never really worked because André is the greatest monster wrestler of all time, the original and one and only giant. Damn, I'm so proud that my country was represented by the first Hall Of Famer in history and one of the greatest legend in this sport !
7824.12.2023laddermatch10.0He's the single most unique figure in the history of professional wrestling. Andre was the greatest attraction of his era. People paid to see him perform live just to see if he was actually real. He was a promoters wet dream. He drew in every territory he went to and when he finally settled in the WWWF/WWF, he was already a household name. The man looked like a monster but he was indeed a gentle giant (as long as he liked you that is). Andre transcends pro wrestling and is a global pop culture icon. People who have never even watched a single wrestling match in their lives know who he was. Hulkamania would not have been as big as it was without Hogan beating Andre at WrestleMania III.
7931.01.2024HardcoreRobbo2k9710.0He is the Only True and Genuine Giant in the history of Wrestling, Andre was an attraction inside and outside of the ring beloved by fans and co-workers around the territories and in the WWF. Andre in my eyes made Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania into the spectacle and iconic lineage that exists today in Hulk Hogan. Andre didn't need a Championship to make himself a main event player as he already was one way before WrestleMania 3 as he was undefeated till that point in his career because his gigantism was starting to take over his physical health as he made his own path and destiny into a legacy that people will remember him for in the years to come. R.I.P Andre
