3010.01.2024thedman031010.0They called him The Whole Fuckin Show for a reason. Rob Van Dam is one of the best to ever do it. He's probably the coolest wrestler ever, with amazing gear and unmatchable charisma. His promos are alright, but he's so cool that he could probably read the weather and I'd be entertained. And in-ring, he's an absolute killer. Innovative aerial moves, stiff kicks, and the best damn frog splash in the industry. The ace of ECW, he should've held the WWE title far before 2006.

3623.11.2023JediSaiyanMaster120310.0There's a reason this guy's WWE entrance song was named "One of a Kind, " because it legitimately describes RVD perfectly. Rob Van Dam was a very special talent back in the 1990s, creating waves in ECW and making a name for himself everywhere he's ever wrestled in. Rob Van Dam was one of the most over wrestlers during the late 1990s/early 2000s mainstream professional wrestling scene thanks to being a unique performer where people weren't use to seeing guys like him wrestling the way he did. Today's wrestlers definitely take after RVD in more ways than one, a guy who had perfectly executed matches and did as many sequences and spots as possible and making it all look picture perfect. His days in ECW are is best, often being the most over guy, being an incredible TV Champion having clinics with Jerry Lynn. With no doubt in my mind, the RVD/Jerry Lynn trilogy is up there with the Flair/Steamboat, Omega/Okada, Punk/Joe trilogies in professional wrestling, these men had chemistry with each other like no other. He also had an incredible tag team with Sabu, having entertaining segments as well where along with fun tag team matches with iconic spots. Rob Van Dam then goes to WWF during the, disappointing, Invasion Angle, being one of the few men who were left out of being victims of former WCW/ECW guys suffering from bad booking, because he was too popular to screw up. His run in the WWE was fairly enjoyable, often having fun matches with guys like Jeff Hardy, Eddie Guerrero, Steve Austin, John Cena, Edge, Randy Orton to name a few. Arguably, his best moment in WWE came at ECW One Night Stand 2006 where he challenged John Cena for the WWE Championship, where Cena was booed out the building while RVD was over like as if he was Steve Austin in his prime, where he beats him for the title and gets the ECW Championship. Sadly, this didn't last long since RVD got busted for smoking weed and had to lose the belts... Anyways, Rob Van Dam is a legend in the business who is one of the all time best high flyers and has, arguably, the best frog splash in history. He's "The Whole F'N Show" for a reason.
3719.11.2023crs2858.0RVD was always a talented wrestler. In ECW he was a star and WWE was ready to make him a star for them as well. Personal demons kept him in the midcard for them. His TNA run was good but he at times didn't seem like his old self. That showed more with his second WWE and second TNA runs. His mic skills were fine, and he had amazing charisma.

4326.10.2023IBladeDaily8.0An essential part of 90's and 2000's mainstream wrestling. RVD's connection with audiences was unbelievable for a guy whose promos were extremely formulaic. His feud with Jerry Lynn was incredible in ECW. Much like Jeff Hardy, he is an incredible performer whose style evolved very little, didn't cut many compelling promos, and had very few signature rivalries throughout his career. His influence will be felt for a long time, regardless. Nothing but respect.

4621.10.2023SavageTyger9.0Mr. PPV, The Whole FN Show, Mr. Monday Night, by any nickname, Rob Van Dam is definitely One Of A Kind. His airbrushed singlets were some of the coolest attires of all time and made him stand out from everyone else in the business, combine that with his highly unique move set and you have one of the best all-around wrestlers of all time. RVD didn't just make the ECW Television Title, he basically IS the ECW Television Title Rob took a mid-card championship and made it the true main event not unlike Gunther today who gets main event spots on TV gifted to him because he's on a three-hour trash show that has no star power at all, RVD was the biggest star in ECW and he made that TV championship relevant. That said, I won't give him a 10 because I've never seen a good Promo from him so he stays at 9.

5714.09.2023devourblast9.0Someone who has managed to be surprisingly great for quite a few decades now. Arguably the best frog splash ever while also having one of the most engaging and dynamic movesets ever. Lot of great matches in ECW, WWE and TNA. Someone who has definitely been an inspiration for a lot of talents. Had really good promos in ECW which I feel did not come with him to WWE. Feels like they just wanted him to say "cool" and "whatever" most of the time. Overall though an amazing talent.

7127.07.2023JaseonSkahman10.0Rob Van Dam, known as "RVD, " was a dynamic force in the world of professional wrestling. With an arsenal of jaw-dropping maneuvers like the Five Star Frog Splash and Van Terminator, RVD's athleticism is unparalleled. His high-flying style and innovative maneuvers made him a standout performer. RVD's ability to seamlessly blend athleticism with technical prowess was impressive. I highly recommend his matches with Jerry Lynn as a great steppingstone into his career.
7225.07.2023klementineQt As a kid, RVD was the coolest guy on the WWE roster to me, he was my favorite while everyone else was into Cena or Triple H. It sucks that he never got the long term mainstream career he deserved.
7314.07.2023MattHall9.0The best to do the Five Star Frog Splash. His style is so UNIQUE, a heavyweight who ranges between 230 to 250 pounds can do moonsaults, backflips, 450 splashes, senton bombs. Holy shit no only that, but also as some of the most deadly-looking kicks as well. His singlets were pretty good, and always put on some really classic matches with Cena, HBK, Dreamer, Raven, Undertaker, Kane so many more...

8405.06.2023Giantfan19807.0Great personality, great look, a unique move set, pretty much what you wanted in a upper mid card guy. Only thing I would subtract is his mic skills were kinda weak and his work was rather sloppy. Also, he noticeably slowed down post 2007 and it was kinda hard sometimes to buy into the mystique that his opponents had to stand there while he slowly went through his flippy floppy moves. Not sure if he was really cut out to run with the big belt, but he was one of the best IC title contenders ever! The main reason I checked into Raw each week in 2002. Also, he had a rep for being sloppy and potatoing a few guys with those kicks.
