In summer Diamante lost his mask in a Mask Vs. Mask Steel Cage Five Way Survival match, which lead to his exit from the Z-Brats stable. The humilation he received by his stablemates were too much for the mexican, he left Dragongate for a short span of time and ultimately returned in October to the promotion to confront Shun Skywalker, the current Open The Dream Gate Champion and his former Z-Brats friend. Mante desperately tried to get a match with Skywalker and finally it happened at Final Gate where Mante, Madoka Kikuta and Sykwalker met for the title. Mante was able to tale the title off Skywalker and crowned himself as only the third ever foreign wrestler to ever win Dragongate's prestigious title.
