2122.11.2023JediSaiyanMaster12039.0Jay Briscoe is a truly gifted performer in every sense of the word, he was a really good wrestler in the ring who blended old school and new school style of wrestling, an incredible promo, great storyteller and showcased that he could make it as a singles competitor, carrying ROH back in the day as their world champion. It's still sad that he's no longer here with us, R.I.P. Jay Briscoe

2406.11.2023skyesversion10.0Jay Briscoe's death hit hard. Jay was a huge part of my childhood back when I watched ROH all the time. I miss him a lot. The wrestling world just feels empty without him. Seeing Mark Briscoe on his own just feels weird. Rest in peace, Jamin. "Reach for the sky, boys." <3

4201.04.2023GoldLiger10.0Jay Briscoe needs to be in the conversation for the best American wrestler. He's at least Top 5 from after the turn of the millennium. There are very few men with truly everything, and Jay was one. There's no point in listing everything because he had it all. Excellent singles wrestler, legendary tag wrestler, iconic promo. One of the best and doing some of his best work right up until his untimely death. Anything shy of a 10 is a disservice. RIP

4409.02.2023GM56 Champion8.0Pretty entertaining guy. He was a part of one of the best tag team in pro wrestling history. He had the look, the intensity and the overall talent. He always shined more than Mark and I can see why.

4829.01.2023katahajime9.0Truly one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Unbelievable talker who could be technical, brawl or fly. A legendary tag wrestler who also happened to have a great singles run on top. A guy who really made you believe he was the scariest dude in the ring. Taken far, far, far too soon.

Viel Kraft seinen Hinterbliebenen. R.I.P. legend Jay Briscoe!

6619.01.2023texasyosh10.0About a year ago when WrestleMania was in Dallas, I had the choice of going to the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor show, or the NJPW show that was held at WrestleCon. Seeing how this was going to be my first wrestling show I've ever attended, I chose to go to the NJPW show, since I wanted to see the likes of Minoru Suzuki, and Jay White. What a mistake I made, since I didn't get to see FTR vs. the Briscoes live. I think it's arguable that Jay is one of the most versatile wrestlers in American wrestling history. You can put him in any environment, any match type, any era, and I feel he'd thrive. He leaves behind an incredible career, with a seemingly endless catelog of matches of any kind. The cage match against Samoa Joe, the ladder war with his brother Mark against Steenerico, a stint over in Pro Wrestling NOAH, morphing into a brawl-heavy style later in his career. The list goes on and on. Man up.

7219.01.2023amai10.0top tier wrestler who was a cornerstone in ROH for 20 years, great in both singles action and in tag as part of one of the best tag teams of all time. its an absolute shame he had to pass so young but his legacy will definitely live on. RIP
7319.01.2023crs2859.0Hard hitting wrestler. Good on the mic and great in the ring. Preferred him with his brother Mark but great in singles or tag team. Was a major player in ROH due to his longevity and connection to the crowds. RIP Jay
7419.01.2023fgpfriends10.0Just dude, how else can I rate one of the best tag team wrestler of all time with Mark Briscoe, legendary matches, legendary stories, legendary vibe of the amazing original team they have made, just brilliant and perfect, sadly I was waiting with my 10 rate until the sad death of Jay, I hope he rest in peace, he was the Hall of Fame ROH and made one of the greatest teams, it sucks we will never see The Briscoes again in action, so random and so sad death...
7519.01.2023BigVan JimmyWangYang10.0Fucking legend for 3 separate decades. One half of the best tag team in the world for over 20 years. Hell of a solo act as well, Jay Briscoe was one of the last wrestlers who really made you believe every word he spoke. A man as authentic as there ever was, rest in peace legend.

8418.01.2023HC79.0On August 5th 2016 I rated Jay as an 8 and I hadnt changed it. Ive seen more of Mark and Jay since then and they will go down as one of the best tag teams ever which is a high honour. Besides being an amazing tag wrestler along side his brother he was also a very good singles wrestler. Jay could wrestle great matches against any style. For a rough brawler type Jay could fly, Jay could go and have a strong style match, grapple with some of the best technical wrestlers, etc. Whenever I saw Jay in particular wrestle he could mesh with literally anybody and any style which takes a lot of talent. Jay had an great singles run in 2014-2015 as the ROH world champion which was when I first started watching Ring Of Honor somewhat regularly. In 2022 the Briscoes were killing it. After a few years of not hearing about them as much due to COVID and AEW taking over a lot of ROHs spotlight Dem Boys really reminded the pro wrestling world that they were still here and still one of the best tag teams. I was hoping that in 2023 the higher ups at Warner/Discovery would finally get over Jays early 2010s Twitter comments that he apologized many times over so that he and his brother could finally get a bigger stage to show the world how great they were. Unfortunately that never got to happen. From the Hass Brothers, Backseat Boyz, Amazing Red, Second City Saints and the S.A.T to wrestling Misawa, Kings Of Wrestling, LAX, BULLET CLUB, Lucha Bros, Worlds Greatest Tag Team, FTR, LIJ, MCMG, Samoa Joe, OGK and Aussie Open Jay Briscoe will go down in high regards as a great wrestler and a legendary tag wrestler. My heart sank when I heard the news. RIP Jay Briscoe

9418.01.2023CoolKyle10.0Jay Briscoe was the heart & soul of Ring of Honor; he was in the very first match of their very first event. Not only a fantastic tag team wrestler (The Briscoes are definitely HOF worthy) but as we've seen early on and in later years, a great singles wrestler as well. He always represented ROH with pride and as we've seen in the multiple tributes so far, he was universally respected as a great friend and family man.
9518.01.2023KKeanel9.0Legendary part of independent circuit. Trilogy against FTR was unexpected, but beauty way to summarize his incredible career. RIP.

9918.01.2023AnotherSpreadsheeter10.0To quote VoW, people are going to watch Jay Briscoe tapes in 100 years and wonder why he isn't considered an all-time great. A career that included a top 3 tag team in the whole history of wrestling, and a severely underrated singles run. In any given year he was active, you could ask "what was the best [insert match type] of this year? " and there's a strong chance Jay was involved in one of the contenders. A true great.
