He has a cool mask and entrance but once the bell rings I just find him to be really unremarkable, whether he's wrestling a hardcore or the more traditional high-flying lucha style. Maybe if I followed AA more closely I would understand why Clown is so popular but from my outsider perspective his appeal continues to elude me."
[8.0] "When he's motivated and has the right opponent, he can deliver big time. Spends most of the time taking selfies with the fans during trios matches otherwise. If not that, usually he is beaten down at the end of a show by whichever rudo he is feuding with and gets his masked removed. Of full time current luchadores, his mask would be the most valuable to take after Atlantis. Considering he basically prints money for AAA though, I don't ever see him losing it."

[10.0] "Can there be such thing as a top star that's underrated? If there is it's Psycho Clown. A twenty year veteran who has spent 14 of those years in AAA, Psycho was a popular trios worker in Los Psychos Circus (along with Monster and Murder Clown) before AAA started to market him as their top guy around 2016. Frankly it's worked; even as AAA floundered during the middle part of the decade and numerous stars left, the one constant remained Psycho Clown. He became a lone bright spot on some truly terrible shows, getting more out of Pagano than anyone could've possibly dreamed and winning one of the most famous mask vs. mask matches in recent memory against Dr. Wagner Jr. (in a match that is really underrated in hindsight). And ever since AAA regained it's mojo in 2018 he has remained a great draw and most importantly has upped his game in the ring, going from a good worker to a legit great worker when he could've easily could've just coasted on his charisma. For my money, only Kazuchika Okada has been a better ace for his home promotion than Psycho Clown has over the past decade, and the only reason he hasn't been recognized as such as that he works in Mexico instead of Japan or the US."
[5.0] "He's a great draw, but he's also one of those draws whose popularity eludes me: he's got a cool mask and entry theme but so do dozens of other luchadores. For the rest I find him completely average, the kind of decent reliable worker that can be trusted with the matches before the big stars enter the ring but nothing more. Surely the most unlikely choice for Dr Wagner Jr to lose his mask but I hope the good doctor got a huge paycheck for his troubles..."
