[6.0] "John silver is a pretty good trios, tag wrestler. On his own, he's not really interesting because he isn't great in the ring. I wouldn't call him extremely charismatic either. Regardless, he's still a decent worker who might change a bit in the future."
[6.0] "Silver is pretty solid in the ring, good strikes, wrestles a power style that's seriously impressive for a guy his size. His character and charisma haven't grabbed me. Maybe he's funnier on BTE, but on Dark and Dynamite I find him just ok. One thing holding him back is his tendency to make every story he's in comedic; he just has that kind of face that's always smiling, and he tries to be funny in every promo and angle. Which, I'm sure makes him a cool guy as a person, but for wrestling you need more emotional range as the story demands."
[7.0] "Silver did great in the role of goofball loveable babyface. His early dark order work is hilarious. He is pretty good in the ring and is great on the mic. Needs a little more seriousness to be a legitimate threat to any champions but he has excelled at his role in the lower midcard."
[6.0] ""The Dark Order irritates me. Anyone participating is already at a disadvantage. Having said that, Silver has managed to pull through despite the terrible booking and being a part of this dead end group. He exudes charm and has an excellent sense of comic timing. Based on what I've seen of him in the ring, he's not half bad. He'll hit a wall if he goes full comedy in the future. But if he can avoid going too far down that road, he might be able to be something better.""
[6.0] "Probably the most all around entertaining of the Dark Order. He looks like a jacked up middle earther, can go in the ring, and certainly has a bright personality that shines through during his matches. Don't see him elevating beyond where he is currently, unless something drastic happens with the languishing Dark Order stable."
[8.0] "I can say that I was wrong about John, previously considering him faceless and boring. He was able to gain some success by becoming a comedic character in the Dark Order, but he is also a good tag team specialist in both AEW and independent scene, his signature series of moves with Alex looks impressive every time. I don't think he's going to get an uppercard, but as a funny team wrestler, he's great."
[6.0] "An absolute goofball, but one that manages to still be very entertaining because he can back it up with a very surprisingly high-level work work rate. I was genuinely surprised the first time I saw Silver unload on an opponent with his fast flurry of strikes and power moves, and then AEW also realised that he was more than just another forgettable Dark Order guy and decided to continue booking him to show off his impressive power and speed. I don't like the Dark Order, especially not when they're doing either purposefully "dark" stuff or try-hard goofy comedy stuff, but Silver is the one person whose matches and promos I will always watch. His overly 'excited' promos will turn a lot of people off, but I find it endearing because I know that he's not solely relying on that character work to get over, since he could clearly just wrestle as he currently does if that was all he cared about, so the way he chooses to be all "wacky" whenever he gets a chance of talk or pose comes off as a genuine way that he likes to personally express his comedy. I'm not even someone who follows BTE and is only enjoying him in AEW because of his skits there; I just genuinely find him an entertaining character as he's presented on AEW programming. He's obviously no-one that will ever be any sort of star, but he's a very hard worker and can easily play the "sympathetic underdog who can believably wrestle like hell when called for it" role. I can only hope he starts to stick out a bit more than the other Dark Order guys, since he's the only one of them I really care for."
[8.0] "Fantastic wrestler who can ramp up the intensity at any time. His match against Budge was really impressive because finally got to see his serious side shine through. He's not just a comedic goof, he's a comedic goof who can actually wrestle! What can't this guy do in the ring' You can put him with pretty much anyone and get a solid match because he has this really fast paced style of wrestling that keeps matches intense. Gotta love Johnny Hungy!"
[9.0] "I LOVE this kid John Silver. Insanely entertaining and a great in-ring competitor. He shows great tag chemistry with Alex Reynolds, and is also great by himself. His biggest trait is his comedy and charisma. I love Silver."
[2.0] "That's great that he's entertaining on an internet show, but I think he's a joke. He's enhancement talent. Not a fan of his style or schtick at all. I haven't seen anything out of him that makes me want to see more of him on my television. Maybe he's a really nice guy behind the scenes but I don't get any of the appeal. He's been stuck in the Dark Order nonsense and I don't see him as someone who should be pushed at all."
[6.0] "I hate the Dark Order. Anyone involved is already starting at a disadvantage. That said, Silver has somehow managed to get over a bit despite the horrible booking & being involved with this dead end group. He has obvious charisma & a good sense of comedic time. Based on what I have seen of him in the ring, he's not too shabby there. If he goes full comedy in the future, he'll have a ceiling. But maybe he can avoid going too far down that path; in which case he might be able to be something more."
[8.0] "Really broke out towards the end of 2020. Just looked like a jobber when he first was in AEW. Looking at the comments he has been this good for years."
[9.0] "Bei Being the Elite ist er eins der Highlights, er spielt da schon eine Art Clown aber das ist alles so unterhaltsam auch ist es alles eine Rolle. Was man nicht vergessen darf er ist ein starker Wrestler."
[10.0] "Silver has gotten some huge exposure from Being The Elite, and it's done him a world of good. The guy has incredible comedic timing, and his goofy charisma is amazing. In-ring, he has a really unusual combination of assets, being a really muscular guy who only stands 5'4" and moves at a tremendous pace. Even if he only ends up doing comedy stuff, I expect him to be tremendously entertaining, and if he gets the opportunity to do more in-ring work, I expect he'll do very well there too."
[8.0] "The Meat Man and the star of Being The Elite, even if most things happen at his expense. Solid worker on the indies, and oddly entertaining in his interactions with Mr. Brodie Lee and Evil Uno. Chili's have never had a better pitchman."
[8.0] "Insanely talented and appealing on multiple levels, Silver is one of those guys who deserves to break out on a major level in the next year or so. He has star power."
[8.0] "Silver isnt the biggest but he will never let you down no matter who or what style he is wrestling. Good in all areas size is the only thing holding him back"
[8.0] "An excellent worker who always tends to showcase incredible feats of strength. I've seen him wrestle with everyone from deathmatch wrestlers to other technical workers and no matter who he's working with I always come out of the match saying "I'd love to see more of that guy". The sky is the limit for Silver."
[9.0] "An unbelievable wrestler. He is so fun to watch and has so much charisma and is very athletic. Him with Alex Reynolds as the Beaver Boys is a really great tag team. John Silver defiantly deserves more exposure than what he is getting currently. Overall a great wrestler that WWE needs to sign. 9/10."
