102.04.2024igskillfart10.0Gosh where do i began, First the man is the only person to appear Raw, Nitro AND ECW the same week, Second, He is one or if not THE GREATEST heels of all time, the man can literally make you hate him, you know how kayfabe when people break character, i feel like Rude can be nice to someone and they will still hate him because of what he does, this man is golden. Also his in ring work was ahead of his time, sure he had bad matches, but he can put on entertaning matches, and also he has the best Atomic drop sell of all time, there should litterally be a compilation of him selling the move. During the WWF golden era, he was prob the most popular and wrestler besides hulk and all the other wrestlers, he was a main eventer for sure, him swiviling is hips and get on the mic before wrestling is golden, only The Ravishing one can do that. Third, this man won 1992 most hated wrestler, he was doin his job, i can go and say how much i love this man. He is just great.

926.01.2024Conquistador3710.0Before I go into greater detail I will note that not only did the man show up on RAW and Nitro the same night but he did the same in the 80's! On Oct 11 1986, he showed up on not only NWA Pro & World Championship Wrestling, but ALSO on World Class Championship Wrestling from Dallas. I think it's absolutely tremendous he was able to achieve this! I watched almost his entire career from it's inception but I have been pleasantly surprised to find out he started as enhancement talent/doing jobs as early as 1982! I first saw Rude when he got his big break in World Class, being their inaugural "world" Champion while under the management of Percy "Paul Bearer" Pringle. During his tenure in WCCW, he was one of the only enjoyable things about the territory. I loved his "Smooth Operator" entrance theme - sooo fitting! He then moved onto Crockett where he quickly established himself as one of the hottest prospects in all of American wrestling, his tag team with Manny Fernandez was excellent! It didn't take long to find himself in the WWF. A high profile and unforgettable feud with Jake Roberts (still one of my all time faves) helped skyrocket his career. Dragged the absolute best out of The Ultimate Warrior; a long history dating back to Dallas days, he was Warrior's best foe there as well. In my estimation, he was one of the most important figures in the WWF golden era and helped elevate the company far more than most give him credit for - him leaving was a monumental blow. Rude helped elevate WCW! He was exactly what that company needed and he flourished in the role as their #1 heel. He was Sting's best opponent next to Ric Flair. I, like many deeply enjoyed The Dangerous Alliance. An assortment of pure gold can be found in his WCW material! Unfortunately his in ring career was cut short and he passed away before his big comeback. Must be noted that he had remarkable chemistry with Ricky Steamboat and Dustin Rhodes on top of others mentioned. I would be remiss if I went without mentioning his way of taking back body drops and selling atomic drops (you *know* what I'm talking about! ). More? Sure! Extreme and absolute confidence in his mic skills, had a knack for making enhancement/squash matches far more entertaining than most. Had an iconic look. flaws? sometimes the camel clutch/electric chair spot seemed way too shoe horned in, that's it - that's the only flaw. We love Ravishing Rick Rude! I wish I could rate him higher.

1525.11.2023crs2859.0Rick Rude was a top tier heel act for his time period. One of the best things about him is that he was great in the ring for his time period. He also had great mic skills and off the charts charisma. Feuded with all the top faces of his time and the matches were always good.
1619.11.2023JediSaiyanMaster120310.0"Ravishing" Rick Rude was one of the all time best heels during the 1980s and 1990s, he was amazing at generating heat. When part of your shtick is to put your opponent's wife's face on your tights, you got my approval LOL! Anyways, Rick Rude is also known for being the only man in history to appear on both WCW Monday Nitro and WWF Monday Night Raw on the same night, confusing millions watching at home LOL! Rick Rude was a great talker, so much that he didn't need Bobby Heenan in his corner, but they worked so well with each other. He was a great seller to, so good that there's an entire Twitter page dedicated to his selling from when he takes the atomic drop, go follow it, it's worth your time. Rick Rude was also a good wrestler, at least for what his character required, a good example of someone being a good character wrestler. While he may not have been flashy, his style worked best with the gimmick he was required with. Plus he was able to carry Ultimate Warrior to good matches, and you are definitely a good wrestler if you can do something like that. His reigns as United States and Intercontinental Champion are legendary, having great matches and feuds with everyone from The Ultimate Warrior to Ricky Steamboat, they are among the best mid card championship reigns in history. Overall, Rick Rude is awesome, he was great at everything he was given task to do, knocked it out of the park with his gimmick. R.I.P. Rick Rude

1924.10.2023celticinvader8.0Top tier heel of this era, An arrogant and cocky bastard who was so ahead of his time. Brought insane amounts of character work into the ring with him, and put on very fun matches, especially when paired against another great character. Build like a brick too.

3206.06.2023Giantfan19808.0Rude has to be in the top three of "just on the doorstep of winning the big belt" Had a good run in the WWF, and after his 2nd feud with the Warrior there wasn't much more they could do with him. Thankfully he had a career resurgence in WCW and I would argue he was allowed to act more badass. He won that stupid "International" title but never got the real WCW title. I kinda doubt he would have gotten the WCW title because within weeks of his injury, Hogan was on his way to WCW so he probably would have spent the remainder of his years being a contender.

4118.01.2023Rigno9.0He had the 3 things you needed in the 80s and 90s to be a heel. 1: An unbelievable physique. This man looked like he was chiseled from stone. 2: Good on the mic. He sounded natural, like he was actually telling the truth. 3: He was the most hateable heel of all time (in my opinion). Bro put his opponents wife on his trunks. I'm surprised they even let him do that.

4305.12.2022PunkPariah9.0Tragic he had to retire when he did because the Monday Night Wars might've been a hell of a lot different with someone like Rude in the mix. Top tier heel who could work any crowd, solid worker, and a unique look combined into one of the biggest what ifs in pro wrestling history. Dude literally air brushed his opponents wives face onto the crotch of his gear. That's next level hater shit.

7207.02.2021WrestlingStats18.0Assets: Was a consummate heel who oozed arrogance and cockiness. Had the ability to put on highly athletic contests when given the chance. Could work with anyone and had the ability to make novices look good. - - - Flaws: Never had a face run of any note. His all-too-brief program as a main eventer played second fiddle to other stories. His in-ring career was shortened due to injuries (and the maintenance thereafter likely shortened his life. ) - - - Career Potential: Admirable major league upper card heel.
7325.01.2021Brett19809.0One of the best heels ever. Ravishing gimmick was good. Seemed to get better as a Wrestler as time went on. His best in ring work is in WCW, unfortunately he retired too young due to injury.
7401.01.2021Wrestling Forever 9.0Tatsächlich ein Mann der auch mal Face war aber da sehr gefloppt war. Habe ich echt nicht gewusst weil ich Rick echt nur als Heel kenne und da hat er absolut überzeugt.

8109.09.2020Rick10.0He was a top star in every territory he wrestled. He brought up the game of his opponents. He made Ultimate Warrior look amazing in the ring. His WCW work was excellent. Holds victories over some of the all time greats. Got injured and was forced to retire too early.
8220.07.2020ElPolloLoco9.0One of the best heels of all times together with Adrian Street and Jake Roberts: he could get any crowd to hate him in under five minutes without laying his hands on the local babyface. He had a tremendous understanding of crowd psychology and wasn't half bad as an in-ring worker. Unfortunately he was forced to retire just as he was reaching his peak and his managerial career was a dud. An extra point because he didn't like play politics (read: kiss Hogan's feet) and was ready to put his career on the line for it.
8312.06.2020Khalid Ace4.0He retired a year before I was born so I had to go back & watch his work since I've heard so much about him. He seems very charismatic & has a great personality but some of his matches were terrible .
8430.03.2020Ma Stump Puller9.0Talk about underrated. Rude may have had a pretty lackluster WWF run (barring his Ultimate Warrior feud) but don't let that drag down his amazing performances in WCW. Great look, able to get strong heel heat from any crowd, and could wrestle pretty well to boot. Strong physical presence and looked like a legit threat to the main event guys at the time. Was a shame that he got badly injured considering he showed no signs of slowing down.

9025.07.2019KyleEnjoysWrestling9.0Great heel, great talker, great wrestler. I kind of wish he was around longer as it feels like he only really had two or three big time feuds in his career. I don't think he ever truly reached the pinnacle of what could have been. But even that being the case, he was spectacular to watch.

9419.06.2019mdkarl9.0good heat magnet as a bad guy... his career didnt reach the highs it could have. not sure what kept him from the very top. certainly was at least a good performer as far as wrestling goes as guys like hulk Hogan were... and his overall charisma wasnt quite so catchy but it did connect. I think rude was a more bankable heel than Hogan. I recently got a chance to see his earliest match in wccw and even as an unknown he was getting a good pop from the crowd. he was the face in a match against kamala and I could see he had the ability to pull this off too. he did have a very strong career... was right near the top of the card in wwf at its highest level of competitiveness. I guess maybe behind the scenes he wasnt into the politics the right way? but this was one of histories best wrestlers of the 1980s

9928.11.2018JEK 199110.0Great wrestler. He can perfected being a heel. He was one of the first wrestlers to use lavishing moves and dances in the ring. His peak was in the WWF feuding with the Ultimate Warrior. WCW was great as well. His career ended on a back injury. It was great to see him with DX. Sadly he died before coming back to wrestling.
