619.11.2023JediSaiyanMaster12035.0Ehh, he was just adequate in my mind. While he was never an outstanding performer or character during his time, he was at least better than some of the lackluster big men of his time.
710.11.2023Meng8.0He played very well the monster heel gimmick during his 2 WWF runs. Always believable as a big monster, he lacked in ring skills but he compensated with good charisma while his mic-skills flaws were always offset by his managers. don't understand why his main event at Wrestlemania is considered the worst cause that was simply an average match face vs monster heel but there have been far worse main event matches at Wrestlemania even during 2000's or 2010's.

1209.08.2023CMFunk0077.0King Kong Bundy was a big mass of a man who in his early careeer would usually demolish his opponents and ask for "5 count". The earliest footage I've seen of him is his minor feud with the Von Erichs in World Class, then a short run in the AWA, and finally to the WWF, where 10-year old me was frightened to death of him. I remember watching him and Don Muraco assault Hulk Hogan on Saturday Night's Main event and that broke my little kid heart. But Hogan beating him at Wrestlemania 2 was vengeance enough for me. I loved his team in the Heenan Family with Big John Studd. He had a brief feud with Bam Bam Bigelow before disappearing from wrestling for 5 years. When he returned, he joined the Million Dollar Corporation with Ted DiBiase, but he just wasn't the same. The Undertaker beat him in his highest profile match. After that, he just kind of faded away. I always felt he was a man full of monster potential that was never fully realized after Hogan beat him in the cage. One of childhood favorites to watch.

1623.05.2023Giantfan19806.0Bundy didn't do a whole lot of fancy moves, but he didn't need to. Dude used his mass and could just overwhelm opponents and used his weight like a big guy should. His ability had noticeably declined by the time he returned to the WWF in 1994 and I believe his knees were the reason for the slowdown. Still, 1985-1988 was a good time except for how far he fell down on the card when he went from main eventing against Hulk Hogan at Mania 2, to doing a midget match at the next years Mania.

2221.04.2022Evan139.0Bundy was a very underrated big man. Not that bad in the ring when you consider the era and he was also pretty good on promos. Played his part well. Memorable character from the 80's. RIP
2316.04.2022Conquistador376.0About the time he first left the WWF, would have been the PERFECT time to just retire, rest on his laurels and look back at a solidified heel legacy in the 1980's. Unfortunately, he opted to come back in the 90's and helped make the WWF at that time nearly unwatchable. Even though the whole product sucked back then; he was blatantly, woefully out of place and seemed like a relic from a by gone era, *ahem* a relic we didn't want to rediscover. I loved his early career trajectory from Pre National Expansion WWF Enhancement talent "Chris Canyon", to baby face "Big Daddy Bundy" and eventually the early phases of the monster heel character "King Kong Bundy" - no complaints there. He helped build World Class in the early 80's as an integral part of H & H International (maybe THE integral part) and I can only give that era strong recommendations. I enjoyed his early WWF run completely. In fact, the only Hulk Hogan program that I feel (to even this day) did great for ALL PARTIES INVOLVED, was the Bundy feud. Even though the WWF tenure was mostly directionless (outside of the Hogan feud), Bundy did great there and was quite the draw. The 5 count bit will always be awesome. So many of those points earned in the 80's though... FLUSH! because his 90's work ranges from bland n boring to borderline BAD. Watch him all the way until 1988, then avoid completely. 6.25 rounded down.

3127.04.2021Ma Stump Puller5.0Perfectly fine at the time he was around in as a big foil for the babyfaces to go over and proven as a main event draw in his better days, but he was NEVER a good wrestler by any measure beyond being a safe worker that could work a half-decent abet basic format of match. Didn't really have any charisma and his one note standard matchup, AKA the "underdog babyface against the big bad" would get old if he was around for too long in one place. Wasn't as limited as half of the big men around at the same time like Kamala or Studd but that really isn't saying much. Fine for the time but his later years were unbearable.

3701.01.2021texasyosh4.0Served his job as a massive heel in the mid 80s. However, his capabilities in the ring we're limited, his size made him a must-see man for the first few WrestleManias.

4519.12.2019JEK 19914.0Terrible in the ring. Never excited me. He was only notable for the cage match against Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 2 and beating SD Jones in 8 secs. He was fast and could move in the ring. He was great for being fast for a big guy. The rest was boring wrestling styles. He just had flab and only ran and jumped on his opponents. Infamous indicent was when he almost killed Little Beaver. Come on no common sense. Too rough on his opponents.

5002.08.2019KyleEnjoysWrestling6.0He had an impressive look & cast an imposing shadow, but when it came time to get down in the ring, more often than not it was a performance that was not very inspiring. Even a bigger guy like Yoko moved around at twice the speed that Bundy moved with. Two of his most known matches are against Hogan & Taker & both of those were pretty poor. I just watched a Bundy match against Hillbilly Jim which reatured pretty much nothing aside from a long headlock & a couple failed shoulder tackles. That's a Bundy match in a nutshell. That said, he was a big monster when that was something people were well into, so I can't fault him too hard.
5108.06.2019mdkarl8.0he was a big man... he had a big man gimmick... if you are going to have a demand for big men in wrestling you need some of them. guys this size are not going to be spot monkeys bundy had a good look... a good routine... he was very believable as an unstoppable monster. you could sell a wrestlemania with him in the main event against Hogan. you could believe he could be part of a team that would cripple andre. he was a credible opponent for the road warriors at their best. i cant rate higher... because there was other guys in the same level... i wouldnt put him miles ahead of one man gang, or kamala, or even crusher blackwell... and certainly hes not andre. rating him a 5. 5 is just ridiculous though. maybe if you saw him in his late 40s? bundy was a major attraction and a top of the card performer in his prime and he was a star in the early wwf run when it went national

5412.10.2018RatingsMachine4.0Bundy thrived in an era where big guys could get away with just standing there and letting better workers bounce off of them. Ask more of him, though, and you were left seeing how limited he really was.
5614.04.2018Gauntlet847.0He had some great appeal early on but I got bored with him after a while. After a few high profile fights he basically just became a "monster" gimmick like Earthquake. He shouldn't have been a main attraction as long as he was and I found his promos and in-ring sometimes pretty bland after his initial push.

6230.03.2017Blood Pump3.0Proof that personality can only get you so far, and even then Bundy didn't have that much of one. Really his 'give 'em a 5 count' gimmick was the best thing about the guy. Among the giants in the industry he really was nothing special like Andre, Taker or Giant Baba. Hell hes not even at Big Shows level. He was good for being a side attraction though and is at least a little worthy of being called a legend, even if hes on the lower spectrum.

6404.02.2017Mizzle Assault Ant7.0One of the more enjoyable "giants" of his era, Bundy is not a world beater in the ring but does have some decent speed and knows how to use his weight effectively and get the crowd engaged. Had a fun run with Heenan as well. I have mostly good impression of Bundy, especially compared to some of his contemporaries.
6510.01.2017Willie Jones0.0Never had good matches EVER! And on top of all of that he's an a-hole. Just a bad person and an even worse wrestler. Guy has no understanding of the business and craps on people who actually do. Drew $ with 1 person, and it really has nothing to do with him. Screw him.

6813.08.2016SweetestThing20.0I honestly have nothing good to say about King Kong Bundy. The guy had literally no wrestling ability, He had absolutely zero mic skills. Bundy's gimmick was the same tired, stale big guy gimmick and his look was boring. He has never been apart of anything interesting and has never had one good match in his entire career even when he was up against talented performers.

7309.06.2015DanTalksRasslin7.0Bundy had the massive size advantage and a good persona, as a bad guy with a big mouth who you don't want to mess with. Was a strong midcard heel monster and was able to briefly move up the card as a new "insurmountable" challenge for Hulk Hogan.

7512.02.2015austin19875.0Hatte irgendwie was.
