Before the Rosemary situation she was just a bad worker who slotted into what LU wanted to do with a masked female wrestler in their storylines, but now she's forever marred by those actions (which shed light on preexisting attitude issues) and I'm glad she just disappeared. I don't think she's 0-worthy but I think if she didn't basically go away after her last AAA match then she'd have done something to make it so. The new Sexy Star in AAA currently is more charismatic, a better worker, sexier, and more of a star than "Sexy Dulce" will ever be. |

While politics seemed to have played a part in her success, specially regarding the championships she has won, it's not like she wasn't enough of a decent wrestler to back it up. She took part in some good-to-great matches in AAA and then in Lucha Underground, the latter of which brought her to the center of some of their main storylines and, as a consequence, brought her a wider fandom. For a while, it seemed like her name would have the same worldwide recognition as Pentagon Jr. 's or Rey Mysterio Jr. 's. But then, it all went downhill after she somehow thought it would be a good idea to shoot on Rosemary at Triplemánia XXXV, by breaking her arm. She was promptly stripped of her Reina de las Reinas Championship and pretty much blacklisted from every promotion around the world. Now, was that unfair? Of course not: she asked for it the very moment she maliciously hurt her fellow wrestler. There was no one to blame for it but herself. That could've been the end of Sexy Star's career and, for a while, it really seemed like she was done. However, after a brief stint in MMA promotion Combate Américas, it seems like she is slowly and quietly returning to business, under the name Sexy Dulce, by competing in way smaller events. Now, only time will tell if fans will eventually get over what happened, allowing her to return to the big leagues, or if she will keep fighting in small promotions for the rest of the career. As of now, it is only fair to remember Sexy Dulce/Sexy Star for both her best and her worst. |

I'm guess I'm not going to come down on her as hard as most others have. Aside from the Rosemary incident, Sexy Star was a huge part in the success of Lucha Underground. You can make a case for the fact that she should not have been pushed all the way to the title. But the way she mixed it up in the early days really helped set the tone for the show. She also had more name recognition than most of the people on LU for the early days. Even I was familiar with her & I don't follow Mexican wrestling at all. But it does seem like she is effectively blackballed from pro wrestling now & doing some amateur boxing/MMA. |

Versteht mich nicht falsch, sie ist keine Schlechte, aber warum zur Hölle tritt sie gegen Männer an bzw warum booken die Writer sie in solche Matches? Jedes Match mit ihr wird mittlerweile konsequent gerusht, wenn nicht sogar geskippt. |

Mein Eindruck ist, dass sie anscheinend die bekannteste Luchadora der mexikanischen Wrestling ist und wohl nun auch in der US-amerikanischen. Bei der Bewertung beziehe ich mich aber nur auf die Zeit im Lucha Underground. Sexy Star hat durchaus eine besondere Ausstrahlung (gutes Aussehen, tolle Maske und allgemeine Erscheinung), die vermutlich sie so bekannt gemacht hat. Was mich sehr erstaunt hat, dass sie - wenn man mit der Zeit vor LU vergleicht - eine deutlich muskulösere Körperstatur hat. Das finde ich ziemlich cool. Leider verspielt sie genau dort das Potenzial: Sie ist relativ bodenständig für eine Lucha-Wrestlerin und da hätte sie ruhig ihre überdurchschnittliche Körperkraft ausspielen und darstellen sollen z. B. mehr Würfe und Powermoves (immerhin wird das in diverse Segmente ihre Körperkraft indirekt thematisiert). Da tut Ivelisse schon mehr... Ihre Ringtechnik ist zwar gut, aber nicht ganz ausgereift. Da habe ich manchmal den Eindruck, dass sie etwas chaotisch arbeitet und den Timing nicht immer trifft. Sie scheint besser in Teams arbeiten zu können, dennoch gibt es auch paar positive Spitzen nach oben wie etwa "No mas"-Match mit ihrem fast schon legendären F-Wort-Moment. Sie strahlt durchaus Charisma durch ihre Körpersprache und ein wenig Mimik aus, aber das ist leider auch schon alles. Lucha Underground hat genau richtig erkannt, dass die Frau am Mikrofon eine Katastrophe ist und verzichtet daher komplett auf ihre Promos oder beschränkt nur auf Oneliners. Kurz gefasst: Im Ring ist sie in Ordnung, außerhalb eher weniger. Wenn man die News glauben will, finde ich nur schade, dass sie ihre Wrestlingstiefeln an den Nagel hängen und stattdessen boxen will (deswegen die tolle Armmuskeln? ). |

If she was just a female wrestler awkwardly wrestling male wrestlers then I wouldn't have minded, but what really ruined Sexy Star was the way Lucha Underground insisted on constantly shoving the 'female empowerment against males' schtick down the audiences' throats despite it being such a massively overused female wrestling stereotype. Her feuds ended up being very unbelievable and boring, especially when she was beating Pentagon Jr. She does a below average job against other female wrestlers (if that's at all a positive), but the way she's currently booked against the men makes her look really bad. |

Weiterhin gefällt mir ihr Sexy Star-Gimmick nicht, da dass für mich so ein bißchen ein Mädchen-Image ist, was sie überhaupt nicht erfüllt. |
